Assisted Living Communities in Dillsburg, PA

"The Terraces at Capitol Village was a beautiful community, and the staff was all very friendly. They had just remodeled, so it's very clean. It doesn't smell either. The dining area was nice. They have different places where you can go to eat. They have birds in cages. We had two residents tell us they had just gotten done with bingo."

"Autumn House West was a little closer to town. It was nice and the staff were very helpful and very friendly. They have various types of rooms, depending on what you're looking for, and the residents seemed happy. They have a beauty salon, a community room with games and a TV, and a separate kitchen area for the residents to use."

"I moved into Autumn House East. I chose it because it has an available single-living apartment. The staff members are very easy to get along with, caring, kind, and helpful. They have a coffee get-together every morning. They have bingo a couple of times a week. They'll go on short bus tours. The lady who runs the activity is excellent. I'm in my own apartment. It's accessible, easy to get around, and large enough for me. I'm getting what I pay for."

"Mom moved to Celebration Villa of York. It's just a nice facility. The staff is very, very easy to work with. The food is just amazing. The facility is well-kept. They have activities daily. They have a chapel, church services, and everything you need is there."

"I toured Harmony At Hershey. It was too big. The halls are so long. It's like the dining room was at one end, and the other end was the apartment. The views they gave in the rooms, we were on the third floor, were like Hershey Park and all that area over there, but it was really at a distance. So, you couldn't see that much, but the traffic when something is going on there would be terrible because Route 39 is the main route into Hershey, and when there's a camp concert in Hershey, the traffic is always backed up, but the apartment that they showed was nice. They have a stove, an oven, a refrigerator, and a microwave. They have nice wooden cabinets and stuff for your dishes. The person who took me around was good and explained things, but I would not be too happy with the building itself, even though it was new."

"I visited Paramount Senior Living at Lancaster County. I like that it was clean, single floor, and everyone was friendly. They have very nice-sized rooms. The staff was nice and friendly, answered all my questions, and engaged with the residents. The dining area was large, open, and clean. They had access to the courtyard and it was nice, shaded, and had benches."

"Victorian Villa was an excellent facility. It was about an hour from my home. It seemed professional but yet home like. The people were extremely friendly. I could sense a secure atmosphere, and I would recommend anyone to visit if they were looking for a personal care home as opposed to a larger facility. The rooms were spacious. The facilities were excellent and well maintained. They had an elevator for residents who needed walkers or scooters. They had exceptional cognitive activities which I really liked. "

"Everyone at The Village of Laurel Run has been great. They seemed to provide good service, and he likes everyone there. They are friendly, helpful, and attentive. The cleanliness to me looks good, and he is OK with the food. It’s a little better than average. "

"My mother-in-law is a resident of Juniper Village at Mount Joy. The night nurse is amazing in the memory care unit. We like that it's local. They are a very small community, so we don't have the worry of viruses, and they can be open more. Their one-on-one time with their patients and the atmosphere is very, very nice. They are very caring and understanding, like a family. During the day some of the staff doesn't administer medications like they're supposed to, but everything else is about the place is phenomenal and it's not a typical medication that's necessary to certain appointments and stuff. They have painting, baking, cooking, music, exercise, dogs come in, and pets. The things that my mother-in-law likes, they provide. We haven't been able to eat there since COVID hit. I don't think there's a place you can yet, in a nursing home, if you don't live there. The value for money is good. I think every place like this is a complete ripoff. To be quite honest, I think this whole government insurance and everything is a joke. I don't even want to go there with a review on that, it's not fair to them and other places, it's just so much better. We're paying three times the price of our house, but we didn't have a choice. They're doing the best they can with their laws and within their small community. So, it is a very good price for the number of people they have there. They haven't done anything to harm her, the only thing they do is look out for her. So, a much better quality of a nursing home facility than we've seen, and we had her at prior."

"My mom spent the last week of her life here and my only regret is that we could not get her there sooner. The level of care, concern and respect shown to my mother, sister and I was pivotal in helping us say goodbye. Every member of the staff, from the guy mopping the floor after lunch, to the nurses, to the leadership, was so incredibly kind and thoughtful. "

"My mother-in-law is at Silver Spring Personal Care Home. We feel that they're the best place for getting the best care for her. We're really happy with them. They've done a great job taking care of her. As far as the people are concerned, they have a great team together. It's a fairly new place. Everything works for my mother-in-law. The staff is the key factor because of their level of expertise and the way they take care of and treat people. With regards to the activities, they always have two activities going on each day. They have games, memory-type things, bingo, and that type of stuff. They have a small gym and a hair salon there. They take care of them."

"Having visited Bethany Village on many different occasions, I have come to find out what a great enviornment this community provides. The community is comprised of many different apartment like buildings, spanning a half mile range; located in the perfect area for those who are less able to get around easily. This area provides a beautifully kept park and local grocery stores and eateries The community is very well kept; providing great landscape and scenery, and also within the community they provide their residence with a variety of shops needed for basic living if these residence are unable to get to the local shops which surround it. Also, the staff are quite kind and caring with their residence, which I find quite endearing. Though most of the elderly that reside here seem to do well on their own, this community provides quick and easy access at any moment that a residence may need or require help. Overrall, my immpression of Bethany Village is one of high praise and admiration. "
