My 95 year old Mother moved in 2 weeks ago. So pleased with everything, rooms are spacious and clean, staff is friendly and helpful. She has gotten involved in activities already and doing very well. Since it is a brand new facility there are always some hiccups when first moving in. The only hiccups we have experienced is that my Mom after 2 weeks still has no landline phone. This is a concern of ours as she has difficulty using a cell phone. When we contact the phone company they say it is Boone Ridge’s issue. When we contact Boone Ridge they say it is the phone company’s issue. I don’t care who needs to fix it….JUST GET THE LANDLINE PHONE working. Office phones seem to work just not resident private ones. The MENU and FOOD IS OUTSTANDING AND A LARGE SELECTION, ALL very tasty. The only other issue is that my Mom would like to upgrade her cable TV service to get a couple more stations that are her favorite. That has again been a back and forth issue, still unresolved. All the big issues, especially care and safety are outstanding, just a couple little hiccups or we would give you a 5-star rating‼️

I actually had all 4 of my grandparents at Boone Ridge at one time! It was wonderful to have the option of assisted care and memory care under one roof. The building is nice and new. There are many things that are truly great about Boone Ridge. However, we’ve had many, many issues with both care and cost of care. I would like to give them the benefit of the doubt that they are new and still getting the hang of things, but the disappointments that should have been addressed continued with time. For the cost, we really believe the care should be better. It’s one of those situations that you just have to trust that they are caring for your family and unfortunately, time and again they have proven to be unworthy of that trust. The amount of times we have discovered my grandmother sleeping in a soiled bed or dressed in clothes from the day before in appalling. It’s actually heartbreaking. I don’t know how many other options are available in the Salem area, but please do your due diligence and look around before choosing Boone Ridge. We regret not doing so.

We visited Boone Ridge a year ago, before the Corona virus. It's very new. It just opened a little over a year ago. I don't have any personal experience other than they were very welcoming, very kind, and gave us very good information about how the care would be. It was the price point why we chose the other place. We were hoping to choose them because it is closer to where we live, but ended up going with the other place. They're both very similar. We were able to taste some of the food, and it was good.

My friend seems to be very content at Boone Ridge. We're very happy with the facility. He seems very happy there. He has a room with a private bath; it seems very nice. He's got his bed, he's got a loveseat, he's got a TV, and a bookshelf. It's very comfortable. We were only allowed to help him move-in on the first day he was admitted. We have not been able to visit because of COVID. We have visited him through the window, so I can't tell you about the amenities. I feel like we've made the right decision. He appears to be content, he is sociable, and I think we've made the right decision. I'm happy for him.

Both my father and mother have lived in this wonderful place, my father in memory care and my mother in assisted living. The care they both received was loving, gracious, respectful, and kind. They truly love their residence. I have also been impressed with the amount of staffing they have on any given shift--when a cord is pulled for assistance, they are there within a minute or two. I don't know how they have done it but they have hired people who offer love and help to their residents and as a daughter, I could not ask for more. I feel blessed to have had both of my parents at Boone Ridge. (as a side note--food is always hard--we have seen this in every place we have visited--Boone Ridge's food is comparable to others. So that washes this out in my book. Again, it is the true love they have shown my parents that shines.

Boone Ridge just opened up. It was too expensive, and they had a lot of glitches they needed to work out. The bathroom door, and the bedroom door clashed, so you couldn't open one without the other one opening, and they fired the chef at the end of the first week. The dining area was beautiful, very upscale. They have wine tastings, a movie theater, a special area where they teach you how to cook, they have laundry facilities on each floor, in the corners they have pool tables, visiting areas, TVs, a big exercise area, a courtyard, and they're going to put a swimming pool in. They have one- and two-bedroom places. Nothing is separated, everything's in the building, and it's like a big hotel. Everybody I talked to was upbeat, happy, and wanted me to move in right away. The dining area was great. You can sit down and order food from 8:00 a.m. all the way to 8:00 p.m.

We went over to Boone Ridge for dinner. It's an independent facility, which was built a couple of years ago, and they had most of the modern amenities. They had assisted and memory care as well. We went to the second floor where they had an entertainment area and a television lounge where they show movies. They had a chef, a choux chef, and a pastry chef. The food was very sumptuous and restaurant quality. It's an excellent facility.
