"I visited Brookdale. It was nice. At that time we went there, they did not have assisted living; they only had retirement, so we passed. I did not look at a room, but I saw their common area and it was nice. Brookdale was smaller than the other facility. "

"What I like best about Briden Kinder Care is that it's well-kept and they have friendly staff. What I like least is that their driveways is really steep. We did not taste the food, but the food smelled good. The facility was very nice. The rooms were good. They're adequate or better. When I stepped in it felt warm and homey."

"My mother was a Memory Care resident at The Village at Keizer Ridge for 5 years. She moved in when it opened in 2016 & just recently passed away. What impressed me from the beginning, and is still true today, is the personal, hands on care she continually received. The staff makes it a top priority to know a resident individually - their personality & quirks, likes & dislikes. I would drop in frequently to visit and the staff were always present & interacting with the residents. They work very hard to care for the individual. I would recommend The Village to anyone and will be forever grateful for the compassionate, quality care my mother received - from the first day she arrived until the moment she left. "

"Ceder Village Assisted Living in Salem, Oregon, really was one of the best assisted living facilities I have ever toured. Beside its close proximity to home and the I-5 corridor, the food was great and the staff was friendly. We had been looking for a place to put dad that was caring and compassionate, and Ceder Village embodied those two characteristics whole-heatedly. They had the friendliest staff I had ever seen. We were greeted within 15 seconds of coming inside and got a personal tour from one of the nurses! Now, I don't say this lightly because I've had to tour over ten different care facilities before we, and my father, choose Ceder Village: For the price and quality of care, Ceder Village cannot be beat. If its still around when i'm of the age that i need an assisted living facialtiy, Ceder Village will be the first on my list! Oh, and if you get a chance try their banana pudding! To die for! "

We are five-star caring home our caregivers, very educated and trained. We do have two RNs on call if needed. We are a 24-hour care home. We are experienced with all care. Very nice and clean home. We have a really nice backyard with the fruit trees where our residents can go and walk on a nice day. We have two covered patios. Its good for any weather to be outside. Our residents always do activities if they want too, summer time we have vegetable garden, some of our residents like to work in the garden. "It is a very good fit for my mother. The food is great. We just had a little bit of difficulty with the care and socializing at first, but now that she's getting acquainted, we've made it perfectly clear that we didn't want her sitting in her room all the time. They would bring her food to her and we didn't like that. It's a beautiful and clean place. They have craft, exercises, and outings. I'm really impressed with how they decorate for the holidays and how they put flowers and tablecloths on the table and they have beautiful arrangements in the entryway. I love their 50s room where you can have gatherings with other family members. The servers work hard and make sure that everything is taken care of."

"The care received from the staff at FirCrest for my mother was impeccable. Her room was beautiful, they were very attentive to not only her needs, but to the needs of our family. The compassion shown to my family as my mom spent her last days there was irreplaceable. "

"We really felt welcomed when we first went, and they have been very, very helpful, helping us get everything done for my mother-in-law to be able to move in there. It is a smaller place; it may not be as big as some of the newer ones, but it is a very homey and comfortable feeling and I think it would be a good fit for her. The last time that we were over there, some of the residents were actually baking with someone helping them, and at another time, they were listening to a radio program. They have tables around where they can work on puzzles and they have sitting areas where they can sit together, and they do. They did have a lot of good things going, and every week they take a country drive if any of the residents would want to go. They also plan special events every once in a while -- like go out to lunch or stuff like that -- that the residents are able to sign up for. Their memory care part is kind of small and it is understandable because they don't have many people there, but it would be nicer if the outdoor area had some greenery to it, like maybe some grass and a little more outside scenery."

"Conifer House's service was phenomenal. This was a single-level establishment. Immediately, I heard residents laughing, and I heard activity going on although the residents were around the corner, and the dining hall was to the right. When I walked in, people were engaged in conversation, so it looked alive and happy. The staff immediately came to my aid and asked all kinds of questions. Basically, they wanted to know how they could help me. That was their attitude, which I absolutely loved. By far, the service from the staff really intrigued me. It really did. The facility had memory care, which my aunt needs. Conifer House was not as lavish as some of the other places I had seen and was not quite as beautiful, but it was well-kept, clean, and very nice. The facility had a modern twist with maybe a late 1990s/early 2000s type of motif, shall we say, so it was okay. The residential care looked really good. I was very impressed. "

The staff is retained for years and years, not days. The apartments are perfect. The food is consistently good. "My mother is at Country Meadows Village. The people were very knowledgeable and welcoming. They had answers to all of our questions. Everything was very clean, neat, light, and open. We were just really impressed with it. The staff members are wonderful. They take really good care of my mom. Her needs have increased since she first went in, and they've adjusted for that. They are probably in every hour or two with either meals, or medication, or to check on her. They come and get her order for her meals. They have a lot of seating areas, a TV room, and a craft room. The building goes around a courtyard in the center with flowers. They have a beautiful gazebo with grass and walkways, so it's easy to walk or use a wheelchair. Their maintenance people are wonderful for taking care of things immediately. We have absolutely no complaints. Their dining room is open to the residents nearly all day. They can go at any time for lunch, breakfast, or dinner. I thought that was really nice."

"I have chosen them for my husband because it felt more family-oriented and warmer. The staff that we talked to and the others that were there were very caring. They all seemed to really care about the clients. They had so many activities ongoing, and it looked like they really encouraged the residents to participate. They had scheduled outings, and they let the patients pick what their outings were going to be. It just seemed very homey. I have not tried the food, but I saw the menus. It was all homecooked. The other four that I visited had alert systems, but they were the pull-the-chain type. It was in a couple of rooms. However, this place has a monitoring, where it's with them all the time. I thought that was really a good feature. They had good walk-in showers. They had kitchenette type places, so it was very nice."
