My parents-in-law moved into Conifer House. It's a small community. There are only l15 residents in the assisted living part, and there's a memory care facility attached to it. So if we need that, we can work on it. The people there are super helpful and friendly. The move-in was smooth. We like the head nurse. She's great. Their room is a little small, but we fit everything in. They have one bedroom. It would be perfect for probably one person, but there are two of them, so it's a little crowded, but it's still working. They have a lot of different activities. Their small dining area is fantastic. They've got a nice little area where people gather and watch TV. They have a really small parking lot, and the street parking is far away.

I went to visit Conifer House. It had a very nice interior and it felt very homey. It looked like they arranged lots of activities for the residents. I didn't meet many staff members, but the ones I met were very friendly. You come in and there's sort of an entry living room, and there's some eating space off of that. The assisted living is kind of the front building, and then the memory care is the back part of the building and it's locked.

Conifer House's service was phenomenal. This was a single-level establishment. Immediately, I heard residents laughing, and I heard activity going on although the residents were around the corner, and the dining hall was to the right. When I walked in, people were engaged in conversation, so it looked alive and happy. The staff immediately came to my aid and asked all kinds of questions. Basically, they wanted to know how they could help me. That was their attitude, which I absolutely loved. By far, the service from the staff really intrigued me. It really did. The facility had memory care, which my aunt needs. Conifer House was not as lavish as some of the other places I had seen and was not quite as beautiful, but it was well-kept, clean, and very nice. The facility had a modern twist with maybe a late 1990s/early 2000s type of motif, shall we say, so it was okay. The residential care looked really good. I was very impressed.
