"I just moved here to Heron Pointe. I like the little cottage that I am in. I got my own kitchen, two bedrooms, a fridge, dishwasher, microwave, and everything. You can get three meals a day and house cleaning twice a week. Everything you want is here. We do barbecues, bingos, and quite a few activities. The food is good. The staff are good people. They do what they need to do."

"When searching the Eugene area for the medical care I needed after my stay at the local hospital here in Eugene, I felt blessed to have had the patience to have finally found the Junction City Retirement Community. I have lived here well over one year now. During the first interview when meeting with the main office staff in charge for the function of this corporate building, I have learned that not only do they help create the enjoyable comfort for seniors here but they also communicate and exhibit good ideas to working together with their employees and establish the nicest home away from home possible. for the residence living here. There is a bus used twice a week every week for road trips made for doctor appointments that are needed and for shopping. Within the building there are many functions that are organized for the people living here too. Some seniors enjoy board games like puzzles, monopoly and more, There's bowling, Cooking class, Drawing and painting, a class for exercise, there is always a togetherness in the main living room that is set aside for meeting each other. To name a few there are church services., there's watching online television on a large screen, there's following the games of Trivia, there's Utube and more.. There are many things here. All workers are highly committed to insure the comfort and wellness for the seniors they care for and who need assisted living for their recovery, like in my circumstance for being here. The doctors requirements of the medications ordered for my return to health have been handled and delivered to me daily with all manners of respect and care to my needs. The staffs professional knowledge for the care of each senior here is without doubt positively and certainly a wonderful place for recovery and offer the feeling of being home. During my two operations, my stay here has been truly remarkable. All staff members are wonderful and all have the accountability to insure the wellness of the many residence who live here. The Junction City Retirement and Assisted Living Community is truly the nicest environment one could hope for in finding their medical and inspirational needs for wellness. All workers here are well organized and accountable to their words spoken. I am very happy to recover here."

"I'm in Holiday Hidden Lakes. It's so beautiful here. I feel like it's the best thing that ever happened to me. I get along great with the staff. My apartment has a view of the lake. It's a one-bedroom with a big living room. They provide three meals a day, breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have wonderful activities. They have beanbag baseball, ice cream social, sing-along, and an exercise program every morning. All activities are held in the activity room, even the resident meetings. Everybody here, including the staff, are all very nice. The food is great. Value for money is good."

"The Bonaventure of Salem was very nice and very clean. We sounded a buzzer off, and we had three people helping us instantly, so that was very nice. The security system is very good there. The staff members were very nice. We talked to one lady, and she was the one who took us to memory care and the assisted living, and she was very good. They had an outdoor space. The memory care is under lock and key, so to go out into it, they have to have a code. Somebody couldn't just walk out. It was very nice. It had plants in it, and it was very good. They had a theater that was wonderful. We enjoyed it."

"We found Solista Salem by Cogir. It has all the amenities that we need, and it's cheaper than that other place where we were. We moved in last week. It's a fantastic place to be. We're independent living right now, but they have it set up so that if I need help to get my husband off the floor and stuff like that, they will come and help us. We have three meals a day. It's a much bigger place than the other one. The staff is very helpful. They're very senior-oriented. They have all kinds of things going on for the seniors. It's such a nice place. We have seen deer and squirrels. They say around Thanksgiving, there's a turkey that's wandering around here. It's closer to the hospitals, to the doctors, and everything. The staff members are really good and friendly. I dealt with the maintenance man a couple of times because I couldn't get the dishwasher going. He came right up, fixed it, and got it all going and everything for me, so that's nice. The housekeeper is Carly, and she is great, too. It's very clean. It's got a nice, clean dining room. We haven't gotten up there yet to eat, but of all the ones I looked at, this is the best. They have sock hops, bingo, and all kinds of activities going on. They have a little garden that people can work in. It's $2000 cheaper than the other place. It's in our budget, so it makes it very nice."

We are five-star caring home our caregivers, very educated and trained. We do have two RNs on call if needed. We are a 24-hour care home. We are experienced with all care. Very nice and clean home. We have a really nice backyard with the fruit trees where our residents can go and walk on a nice day. We have two covered patios. Its good for any weather to be outside. Our residents always do activities if they want too, summer time we have vegetable garden, some of our residents like to work in the garden. "Stoneybrook Assisted Living is very nice and very attractive. They have very nice staff. My wife is there now. It's like a nice hotel. The staff are very friendly. They're in a COVID lockdown now, so they take the meals to the room. They have a lovely dining room they can't use right now, but the food there was very good. They have the standard games that you would expect. There are a few field trips. There's a beauty salon but no pool. The room is OK. My wife doesn't have a separate bedroom, but it's L-shaped, and there's a place where the bed is kind of out of the way, and there's a nice living area and a little kitchen area. "

"Mennonite Village's location would have been ideal for us, that's what we liked the best about the place. What we liked the least was they don't offer 1-bedrooms to anybody unless they already currently live in the facility. So my dad wouldn't have been able to be on the waiting list to get a 1-bedroom, and that kind of eliminated the place in his mind. Other than that, it's a nice place and they had a beautiful garden area. The people seemed very nice, and the staff who gave the tour was very nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. They had everything everybody else had, including an extensive garden area so that people could do gardening if they wanted to. And because it's located with two other sections like duplexes and whatnot, there's a bigger area for people to maneuver around. They're not just locked to a building. The facility seemed very nice when we went in. It's in a residential neighborhood kind of area."

"Everything about Dallas Retirement Village is wonderful. They don't have balconies, but they have three levels of care, independent, assisted, and memory. It's very, very bright, too. I saw some of the apartments. They also have cottages. I was disappointed that they didn't have kitchens. What they did have for coffee and so forth in the morning was very minimal. They have a system where they have a certain allotment for food. However, they have all kinds of wonderful places. It's a newer building and everything is provided. They have a special chapel, activity rooms, and a sunroom if you want to go out and soak up the sun. It's all within the building. In Oregon, with long periods of rainy weather, it's nice. You're able to get lots of light within the building."

"Boone Ridge just opened up. It was too expensive, and they had a lot of glitches they needed to work out. The bathroom door, and the bedroom door clashed, so you couldn't open one without the other one opening, and they fired the chef at the end of the first week. The dining area was beautiful, very upscale. They have wine tastings, a movie theater, a special area where they teach you how to cook, they have laundry facilities on each floor, in the corners they have pool tables, visiting areas, TVs, a big exercise area, a courtyard, and they're going to put a swimming pool in. They have one- and two-bedroom places. Nothing is separated, everything's in the building, and it's like a big hotel. Everybody I talked to was upbeat, happy, and wanted me to move in right away. The dining area was great. You can sit down and order food from 8:00 a.m. all the way to 8:00 p.m."

"I moved to the Ridge at Madrona Hills last May. The apartment is very nice and very clean. The food is OK, and I went to blackjack once. The environment is nice, and they take good care of things; if there's something you need, they get right on it. The staff is great."

"I moved into Salem Housing Authority for low income. It's wonderful. It is very, very clean, and they offer activities for the seniors. They have a community room that you can put your name in to have for your family. They have a backyard patio off of that community room with barbecues and stuff, so you can have family and friends over. They have a garden out in the yard. There are a lot of amenities like that, and it's just wonderful. The staff is extremely helpful. It's for independent living, so they do not have a kitchen staff. I have a full one-bedroom and it's huge. The kitchenette is big and the living room is big. The bedroom is huge. The bathroom is all handicap accessible and it's very large. There's so much storage. They have a full pantry and storage closet by the kitchen and another big storage area in the bathroom. They have a potluck coming up. They have morning coffee where they have get-togethers in the community room. Everybody is so friendly. This place would be wonderful for anybody that's low income and can't afford all the big high rise, fancy places. The only thing they don't have, are meals. There must be four or five different companies that are stopping out here and picking up people to take them, whether it's appointments or shopping."

"We toured Applewood Retirement Community. They provide their meals and housekeeping and things like that. I don't think there's anything I don't like about it. I love the scenery outside with all the plants, trees, and flowers. I love the fact that they have a 24-hour-a-day coffee bar. We got to see one of the apartments, and I like the layout of it. It's a one-bedroom apartment with a bathroom. It's all accessible for people in wheelchairs. I like that a lot. The staff was very helpful in describing what they had. Like outside, she was telling us about how some of the women would come out and do a little gardening, so there were little bits of flowers in there that they planted. She was very helpful with describing what their meals were like. In the apartment, she was telling us some people like to take away the closet doors so that they have room for the wheelchair so it's not in the way. She was a very nice person. She was very friendly and very helpful. The place was very clean. It wasn't dirty. There wasn't any stuff left on the tables or anything like that. It was very nice and very spacious, too. "
