The Terrace II

I have a family member living at Terrace at Westside. It was a hard decision to place my grandfather there, and we visited and interviewed several nursing homes and retirement communities. We met with the director, who gave us a nice tour. We were very impressed with the nutrition and dietary services, which was of particular importance to us, given my grandfather's medical conditions. They were able to put our mind at ease that his caloric intake would be strictly monitored, and he would be given a wide variety of foods. The facilities were very nice, but one area did smell a bit like urine, though I do not recall the particular area name. The nursing staff seemed very attentive, and patients that needed one-on-one seemed to be getting that. We felt very comfortable after our visit there. He did pass away a while ago, but we were very happy that the care and attention he received, and we felt confident he was in good hands during his last years with us.
