"My mother was placed in this facility after problems with shortness of breath caused her to be hospitalized and loose a good deal of her strength. From what i have seen and heard the employees take good care of their patients, and the facility seems to have a laid back approach, allowing patients to roam and vistor/pets easy access to the patients. They also have little approaches that look like they would help. Such as a billboard that always has the the correct date, weather conditions and other information written on it. The center is also close proximity to the emergency room incase something happens. Infact it is right across the street from the brand new ER of St. Elizabeth'sThe facility does seem a little old compared to the newly renovated hospital across the street from it, and is not as well equipped as you might hope. The food they serve also looks to be the stereotypical bad hospital style food, which is a downgrade compared to what Good Samaritan hospital was giving my mother(basically gourmet) "

"The facility is located in a quiet rural farming area. There are a variety of farm animals there, but fenced off for safety in the next lot. The building is a large ranch style home that has about eight rooms. The 24-hour staff there doesn't seem to have much medical knowledge, besides what they read off their daily tasks list. Granted, all the staff I've met there appear to have a sincere concern for their residents and a registered nurse does make visits to check up on their health.Overall, I think the care is acceptable and safe. Although, there doesn't appear to be very much for the residents to do. They do go on group trips about once a month and they have social workers who come to visit on a one-on-one basis every few weeks or so, have TV, playing cards, and board games, but it just seems that everybody is very bored. Also since the provider has expanded to more homes, she is rarely seen any more; understandable but a little disheartening. "

"The physical appearance of Wesley Lea Hill in Auburn is very good. The grounds are 19 acres, this is one of the largest I've seen or heard about, and it's very impressive. Their plan was a very good layout, and they have all the comforts and amenities you want. The staffs who gave the tour are very courteous and tried to answer our questions. They're very nice. They do activities and they discussed that. They have a large variety of activities and hobbies, Bible studies, the opportunity to pursue whatever hobby you like. They also have shopping trips and so on. I like the rooms very well, they're spacious and very well appointed, they're in very good shape."

"The place my sister is at is the Regency Auburn. It is pretty much like most nursing homes. She is in a double room, and it is pleasant. It has a window, small with 2 people in it, and it has a couple of generous closets and a shared bathroom -- very basic and very plain. She has just been there for 1 day. The staff is friendly, but there are too many patients for the amount of staff. The food is regular nursing home fare. I’ve been to there to see my sister once when she was eating lunch, and I think she thought that her lunch was OK. They need more staff to care for the patients. Also, my sister needed a special bed, and that wasn’t provided adequately, so I think they need to provide better equipment. "

"We moved my mother to this facility after she was diagnosed with advanced pancreatic cancer only 4 days before. Every one of her caregivers from the RN's to housekeeping were very helpful, informative, and attentive to my mom's every need as well as ours. Over all her treatment was stellar. The caring atmosphere was genuine. The staff were so helpful and empathetic to our situation. Even though her stay was short, every aspect of my mothers care was treated with dignity and respect. I would most certainly recommend Linden Grove to anyone who desires personalized compassionate care. "

"I thought my son had good care at North Auburn, and I don't have complaints with the staff. They were very good and very friendly to him. The food was good and had a nice variety with a choice of three juices, hot chocolate, or coffee while waiting for the meals. He was in a shared room that they did a good job keeping it and the room him clean."

"My mom is a resident of Life Care Center of Puyallup. It's very good. The people there are very attentive. They're very caring and very proactive. It's a good experience for my mom, other than the fact that she's a little depressed because she's in such bad shape now, which is normal. They're really good, I really like the people there. They're very quick to address issues, because my mom has her own phone, and she's in her right mind. So, when I call her and she has any concerns, I call the front desk and ask to speak to the appropriate person. They put me right through to them and when I hang up two or three minutes later, they're in my mom's room addressing the issue, so they're really good. My mom doesn't do any of the activities, but they have a lot of good ones from what I understand. I would give them a five for activities, for all the activities I've heard of, and the things that they get in there. I can't say enough about the place. I think they're just really excellent. They provide excellent care."

"Most of the caregivers are very good, just a couple that are not quite up to par. The food is above average for institutional food, with 2 different entree options for lunch and dinner. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this facility to friends and family. "

"My husband spent 21 days in Talbot Rehab. Now, he is much better. The food was fine, it was clean, it did not have a bad odor -- some of the patients maybe that had problems -- but it was nice, and I think they did a good job. I did have trouble with the social worker not communicating with me much, but maybe that was just their way of handling it. They seem to work behind the scenes and didn't have to work with me I guess. They had a big meeting, given him tests and everything, andtold him what is what, and he has been following all the medications, so he is better. Nice rooms with a view from the floor of trees and plants, and that was nice. They had activities, and the rehab itself seemed very beneficial. They had some games and crossword puzzles, which my husband participated in. I ate lunches and dinners with him many days, and the food was good. Sometimes the help was a little strange, but I think they have a hard time finding people who want to work in places where everyone is so debilitated, but all in all it was good. It was just that the people who were serving the meals maybe were a little fresh off the boat, so they didn't understand what we were talking about. But then, when their supervisor would come along, she was great. She was always there, so you could just go to her if you are having a problem. She was part of the servers, but she was definitely in charge of everything. They had their rules, and they made people stick to them, which were good, otherwise we would kind of upset the routine. They had table heights for people with wheelchair, so that they are up closer, and you have to allow the people who need those to sit there. I thought it was very well-run. Security seemed fine, but they could be a little more. They had a patio that had a gate, a fence, and everything, but the people could have easily gotten away, so people who cannot be trusted not to wander would not do as well there. I was most impressed by the friendliness of the nurses who were actually providing care and dispensing the medications. They were very nice and easy to get along with. I liked it, and I liked the location. It was kitty-corner from the hospital, so if anybody needed 911, they would be able to take them there quickly. It used to get a bad grade, but I think they've solved the problems because the food was good, it was clean and not depressing, and it was nice. "

"My mom fell, broke her hip, and went to rehab at Heartwood. It was clean and had friendly, professional staff. My mom never had any complaints about it. She is very picky, but most of the time the food was good. There were always three or four choices for the main entrée, like at dinnertime, you could have a salad or vegetable or both, so there were choices. I wouldn’t mind being there myself when the time came. The staff might have been overworked or something because we'd ask for help and it might take them awhile to get there. But on average, they’d be there in a couple of minutes. "
