"My mother was placed in this facility after problems with shortness of breath caused her to be hospitalized and loose a good deal of her strength. From what i have seen and heard the employees take good care of their patients, and the facility seems to have a laid back approach, allowing patients to roam and vistor/pets easy access to the patients. They also have little approaches that look like they would help. Such as a billboard that always has the the correct date, weather conditions and other information written on it. The center is also close proximity to the emergency room incase something happens. Infact it is right across the street from the brand new ER of St. Elizabeth'sThe facility does seem a little old compared to the newly renovated hospital across the street from it, and is not as well equipped as you might hope. The food they serve also looks to be the stereotypical bad hospital style food, which is a downgrade compared to what Good Samaritan hospital was giving my mother(basically gourmet) "

"The facility is located in a quiet rural farming area. There are a variety of farm animals there, but fenced off for safety in the next lot. The building is a large ranch style home that has about eight rooms. The 24-hour staff there doesn't seem to have much medical knowledge, besides what they read off their daily tasks list. Granted, all the staff I've met there appear to have a sincere concern for their residents and a registered nurse does make visits to check up on their health.Overall, I think the care is acceptable and safe. Although, there doesn't appear to be very much for the residents to do. They do go on group trips about once a month and they have social workers who come to visit on a one-on-one basis every few weeks or so, have TV, playing cards, and board games, but it just seems that everybody is very bored. Also since the provider has expanded to more homes, she is rarely seen any more; understandable but a little disheartening. "

"My sister and brother-in-law are in Wesley Homes Lea Hill. The care is very good, but the facility is somewhat lacking. They don't keep it up well, and it needs more fresh paint. The staff is very caring and very professional. Overtime they had a number of different chefs that cooked for them, so the food varies quite a bit, but overall it's fair. The rooms are very well designed, and the layout is good in general, but not kept up quite as well as it might have been. They are also particularly very, very careful about COVID issues. I've never seen anybody in the swimming pool, but they are very, very active otherwise, like they do many tours outside, entertainment, and quite a variety of activities, almost unlimited of them."

"The place my sister is at is the Regency Auburn. It is pretty much like most nursing homes. She is in a double room, and it is pleasant. It has a window, small with 2 people in it, and it has a couple of generous closets and a shared bathroom -- very basic and very plain. She has just been there for 1 day. The staff is friendly, but there are too many patients for the amount of staff. The food is regular nursing home fare. I’ve been to there to see my sister once when she was eating lunch, and I think she thought that her lunch was OK. They need more staff to care for the patients. Also, my sister needed a special bed, and that wasn’t provided adequately, so I think they need to provide better equipment. "

"She went into Linden Grove Rehabilitation Care Center. It has two sides to it. My mom was in their star therapy which is rehabilitation. She has broken her hip. And the other side is for people who need a lot of care. Linden Grove was a great facility; it was top notch all the way around. The grounds were great. The people were wonderful. The building itself -- not only the residents’ room but the common rooms and the eating facility -- was very clean. It’s rehabilitation, so she shared a room with another resident. My mom happened to get a bed by the window so she had an extra alcove with a desk in it which was really nice. The food was good. I didn’t eat there myself, but I was there a couple of times when they were serving a meal. Everything looked wonderful and smelled good. My mom really enjoyed the food there. She did games, bingo, cards, and went to a movie within the facility. They also did field trips. She got to go to a Country Manor and tour in the area. The people treated our mom like she was a queen. They have a social worker who helped us tremendously in getting my mom Medicaid/Medicare and all of that stuff taken care of, an activity director who keeps the folks pretty busy, and a medical record section that helps set up her appointment if she needed to go to the doctor and transportation. My mom felt very much like the people there cared about her. One nurse in particular (and it’s funny because this is the one that my mom didn’t get her name, but when she was on the night shift at bedtime) would tuck my mom in and give my mom a hug and a kiss. We did notice that some of the patients had smiles on their faces; it was a really nice atmosphere. "

"I thought my son had good care at North Auburn, and I don't have complaints with the staff. They were very good and very friendly to him. The food was good and had a nice variety with a choice of three juices, hot chocolate, or coffee while waiting for the meals. He was in a shared room that they did a good job keeping it and the room him clean."

"The staff seemed friendly enough and the stories about them were all quite good. The amenities seemed pretty good with lots of activities throughout the week. The facility itself was very well kept and maintained with a lot of care and hard work. The neighborhood it was in was not the nicest looking. "

"I'm currently staying at Puyallup Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. This nursing home is wonderful. The only thing that has stopped me from saying yes to them to stay here is that I was hoping to find a one-bedroom and a long-term facility. They only have two here, and they're both being used, and I'm trying not to share a room. They do have private ones, but I don't know if Medicare people are allowed to have them. They have bingo. They have games and live shows, people singing, and playing piano. The staff is wonderful and very efficient."

"My mother-in-law stayed at Garden Terrace while she recuperated from surgery on her leg. Some members of the staff, at first, were kind of difficult for her to get along with, in the beginning. But it didn't take long before we saw that they were caring, professional, friendly and surprisingly easy-going. I also love the fact that they have a freezer full of ice cream for both patients and visitors. Personally, I don't think I've eaten so much rainbow sherbet in my life as I have when I was visiting my mother-in-law there; and we visited with her a lot. Though I never ate any of the food, I have to admit that the food that my mother-in-law did eat looked incredibly unappetizing. That, and the fact that the entertainment department insisted on showing Lawrence Welk (how cliche) nightly in the recreation room, was rather disappointing. Again, I never actually participated in recreation activities, but my mother-in-law and I would always make jokes about how dull the activities seemed. Those would be the only knocks I have on this place. But they're minor to me, because I expect tastes differ from mine (and my mother-in-law's) and other people's. "

"I will say, our family had reservations in the begin of my father transition upon arriving to this facility. The management staff teamed together quickly with a game plan for my fathers well being. Our family worked with the nurses to assist in providing my father the most comfortable care possible. They have been wonderful. The facility is clean, the residents seemed happy. There was live music and events. The staff was always polite and helpful. Our family is forever thankful to all of the kind hearts that helped our father peacefully transition. "

"They were most helpful, caring, and patient while caring for my mother-in-law, even when she was in extreme pain. The nurses looked after her as if she were a member of their own family, and knew us by sight, as we became a nightly fixture. The doctors on staff were very responsive and we seldom heard a complaint come from any resident. The facility itself is clean, however it could do with a remodel. My mother-in-law's health deteriorated while there as her battle with cancer began to consume her. She was placed on a special diet to assist her in her battle and though she seldom felt like eating, the nurses devoted much of their time sitting with her, and encouraging her. When the pain rose above a certain level, she was taken care of quickly, which comforted us, as well. After she passed away, we received the most beautifully written condolence card signed by many of the staff. It touched our hearts and their kindness will never be forgotten. "

"My friend had fallen, and she was in the hospital for like 15 days. I was looking for a place to put her, and they recommended Heartwood. They said they were already able to place three people over there, and they all seemed very happy. Heartwood is a house care facility, and they have a memory program there also. They talk about memory loss, and she participates in all that kind of stuff. She also participates in the games, and she has made a lot of friends. It is a single story place, and they have good meals and good therapy. They have exercises and games. It is a good place, but it is a little on the pricey side. The service is really great, and as long as the people are happy, there is nothing else you can say. "
