"I thought Park Valley Inn Health Center was very clean and very nice. The staff was wonderful. I really like them. I like the facility. My friend got to stay for a little over a week, but they brought him back to my house the day before yesterday. Their issue was that they just couldn't take anymore Medicaid-pending patients right now. I didn't eat there or even see any of the meals. My friend didn't seem to complain about the meals. He seemed to enjoy them. They had activities. They tried to get them active every day. I was really looking forward to it, and I'm still hoping that after this all works out I can get my friend approved for Medicaid so that he would be able to go back there."

"My husband arrived at Winsor Duval in September 2017 when he came Windsor he was falling daily had been 3 previous facilities and by the time he got to Windsor he was on so many psych meds. The staff at Windsor discontinued all psych meds, he's now goes to the bathroom and does not use it on himself he attends activities and now has a better quality of life. I would recommend this place, it's not pretty but the staff is very caring."

"When my husband had an ankle replacement, he went to Reliant Rehab as an inpatient. I believe he was there for a week. It is a beautiful facility, sparkling clean! My husband also said it is a wonderful place. He had a private room that was spacious enough for him. They have a cafeteria where patients', visitors and family can eat and their food is excellent. My husband enjoyed their food too. We actually had a friend who was one of the cooks there and he made sure that they're cooking something that Gerry really like. I loved the administrator of this facility. He is a young paraplegic and he is just fabulous. All of the physical therapists that we have used are also excellent and very caring. My husband was very happy there as much as he could be in the circumstances. "

"The staff and employees are so nice and accommodating. They have strict visitation rules and the check-in process is somewhat involved, but it's all for the best and not a problem. The rooms are clean, no typical rest home smell. Yvette (Admissions) and Stephanie (Business Mgr) were especially helpful in getting a room very quickly with very little notice. The place is definitely not new, but the vintage 50's feel is nostalgic and quite comfortable. The courtyard is really nice. Visitor parking, however, is quite limited and street parking is sometimes the alternative, and the small street gets congested. The residents seem happy and well taken care of. The entire place seems to be well ventilated, it always feels fresh and comfortable inside. "

"Beautiful well maintained facility. Rooms are private and nicely decorated; private bath and kitchenette with sink, fridge and microwave. Weekly activities and trips to shopping and local restaurants. Most caretakers are helpful, accessible and knowledgeable and friendly. Food is adequate and appetizing(My Mother is a picky eater). Staff returns my calls and go out of their way to be pleasant to visitors and to their residents. Although 90 years old my Mother is active and stays busy. She is enjoying her private room and the activities. Due to having strokes, she is sometimes frustrated if her call button is not answered immediately, but that is to be expected when there are other residents that also need attention. I am very appreciative of the care and love that is shown to her by the caretakers and the staff."

"This is a wonderful facility with great and very caring staff. Our mother stayed here for 2 years and she was very well cared for. The staff was only a phone call away, and the facility is very cleaned and in order. The Management at this facility was very kind and always responded quickly via email and/or phone calls."

"San Gabriel Rehabilitation & Care Center is OK. They treat him very well, and the only problem that we are having right now is they moved him into a room with a roommate and my dad is not very happy with that roommate. But he's very happy with the food, and the people that are taking care of him; that's the most important thing. I have tasted the food, and it's very good. They're home-cooked meals. They keep them active, and they encourage the residents to be active. The furniture needs some updating. "

"My father is currently in Pflugerville Care Center. My mother just got out of there. They are very caring, lovely people. They are short staffed, but I really have nothing negative to say about the staff because it takes special people to do that. The rooms are OK. They have two people in one room, but the TV is only in front of one bed. Luckily, my parents were in the same room together, but at first my father had a roommate and the TV was in front of his roommate, so he didn't get to really participate in much TV watching, which was depressing for him, of course. It's one of the better nursing homes that I have been in because this is not the first rehab my father's been in. Neither one of my parents got sick and they've been vaccinated. They've got excellent food, and my parents said it's so good. That's a definite plus. My dad's social worker says a lot of the staff has been out there for lots of years and they're passionate about what they do. It takes special people again to do that job and do it with a smile, and I saw it many times. Somebody ran into the main entrance, so no one is allowed to go into the main door. You have to go around to the back of it right now. It's a bit inconvenient because my mother has a broken back and she's on a walker and a back brace. I drive around back and they allow me to drop her off."

"I visited Longhorn Village, which was further away from central Austin than I wanted to be, but other than that, it was an excellent facility. I have a number of friends who live there, and they're all very happy with it. The staff was fine. It's quite lovely and far enough up the hills to get a lot of open country in a sparsely occupied residential area. It's way far west toward the lake. They have a vehicle that can get you to a hospital and also an ambulance service. "

"My parents moved to Legend Oaks two months ago. It was convenient, and the experience has been good. The staff has been very good and caring. The overall cleanliness really stands out. They have a lot of activities for the elderly groups; they do bingo and trips. "

"As far as nursing home scale, I guess Estrella Oaks Rehab is okay. I felt dad’s getting good care. I’m very comfortable about the care, but he does not want to be there. The people there are extremely nice. He just not wants to be there. He’s 92, and he can’t live on his own. We’re satisfied with the people who work there, and we’re satisfied with the facility. "
