My mother was so sick when she went there, and thanks to the staff, and especially thanks to their fine medical director, Dr. Kreis, she is home again and living independently. I thought she was going in for good, but they made her better! It was more than I ever could have expected! "

"My aunt is at Wellington and I'm thinking about moving my mom there. She would rather be at home but she is comfortable there. The facility is nice. The staff is friendly, nice and professional. She hasn't complained about the food but she is losing weight. The food looks okay to me. The facility themselves have been remodeled and they are very modern. They have plantation type blinds and what looks to be wooden floor but is laminated wooden floors. They have nice sized closet and flat screen TVs in the room. The doors have alarms on them and if someone were to leave or come in, they can hear the alarm go off. They probably need to put something up outside where you walk into the door that is more of a barrier to the streets. The place sits right on 31st street which is a major traffic vein to the center part of Temple. I would be concern if someone where to get out that shouldn't be; they can be on the street in no time flat. My aunt seems happy with it though. "

"Cornerstone is the BEST you will ever find. They treat the people that live there as family. We have regular care meetings. If there’s any issues or concerns they will call. I couldn’t ask for a better place for my mom."

"I went to visit a friend's mother and couldn't believe the great care she was given. The staff was very friendly and eager to help. "

"My husband is in a nursing home right now. He is in William R Courtney Texas State Veterans Home. It is very, very nice. They are very affordable and they have a lot of activities. They have a lot of people come in and entertain them. They go out to lunch once a week. They go to museums. They are a very nice place. My husband is not a foodie. He would complain about any kind of food, but I have eaten there several times, and I have not found the food to be that offensive at all. For a nursing home, they are very caring people. They take really good care of the veterans. "

"My mother is currently in Indian Oaks Living Center. I am very pleased with it. It seems to be well-liked by the residents. They get together and talked to one another while they are eating their meals. The staff is wonderful; they are very attentive. Their price is about average, and it may be slightly cheaper than some of the other places. I was told by my brother that they had quite a few activities for people during the day. The security is excellent. "

"My friend is at Rosewood Nursing & Rehab Center. Everything is good. It is a good place for her. The staff members and nurses are good people. They have quite a few activities and do rehab there too. They give her surprises and play ball. She is making friends there. I’m happy where she is, and it is close to where I live, so I could go over anytime. "

"Killeen Nursing and Rehabilitation is a very clean and spacious facility. I've spoken with the director, the admission specialist, the business officer, the nursing staff, also the caregivers, and they were all very professional. I can be at peace knowing that my mother is in good hands, and I am very close to her so I can visit her regularly. They also are very conscious about COVID. They are making sure that their staff is tested regularly and people coming in to visit must wear a mask. They have their hand sanitation stations. They also make sure that I just go in to speak with my mom only, not just wander around the place. They have a special kind of mask that we must wear (the medical one), and so we can't just wear any type of mask to protect those residents and people that are there. The food smells delicious to me, and most of the time my mother is eating it all. She has balanced meals with protein foods like meat, mashed potatoes, vegetables, dessert, and always something to drink. In the front lobby, they have a piano and one of the residents was playing it. I thought it first was another person that they had hired to come in for entertainment because it was just so beautiful. They also have an activity area, a television, and games; some of the residents may not be able to play them all. They also have physical therapy, and the gym is really beautiful and really nice with enough equipment to use. My mother is on Medicaid, so I really wouldn't know how much we pay. As far as how they've handled the business of getting her admitted, they've been very helpful in getting things I need done (even faxing to the Social Security office a form that my mother needed to have signed by one of the doctors). They've been very kind and very helpful with all of these."

"Since my mom has a memory problem, we have chosen Westview Manor because they have locked areas where she stays, so that was the main thing. The room is just average. Some of the employees are really, really nice, and then some of them just don't talk to you hardly at all. I have not tried their food, but they don't look all that good. I would say they're average. However, the dining area is good. They usually eat in a big, open community area. It's always clean and everything looks nice. They have an outdoor courtyard that's enclosed, and they do lots of activities. They have bands and people come and sing for them. They play games and stuff, so it seems like they have a lot of activities. My mom has adjusted pretty well, so for her, it has been OK. We haven't been 100% satisfied with it, but it fits OK for us."

"My uncle was at Coral Rehabilitation and Nursing of McGregor. What I liked most was that they seemed more attentive to the patients. They were very friendly. They didn't have much entertainment for the people at the beginning. They had tables and chairs, and you could watch TV, and that was it. They had just opened it and that's all they had. They had a lot of private rooms. My uncle had a private room, and had more space than he does now. They were all attentive to him and very kind. They would stop by and say hi. They were on top of things. I never saw anybody fussing, complaining, or telling them to wait. It's an older building, but they kept it clean. And they were working on putting in a gathering place and working on fixing up the yard and the building and all that."

"My mom has been at Hill Country since October 2014. She has had great care and the staff there is very caring and supportive. I would highly recommend it to anyone. "

"When I came into the facility it smelled awesome like you had just washed your clothes at home. The rooms were clean, some were not and that's understandable. The staff was very friendly for the most part. When I went they were playing bingo and they have a calendar up that lets everyone know what activities are going to happen for that day. The building has a therapy room incase anyone needs therapy. I bring my mom every so often to do a 5 day stay and I highly recommend this facility. "

"My dad is at Hillside Medical Lodge for rehab. Everybody has been very friendly, very nice, and very helpful. The room is probably a little smaller compared to when he was in an actual assisted living, but they keep everything very nice. They take very good care of him, so I don't have any complaints. I haven't tasted the food, but he seems to enjoy it. I would say it is worth the money because they do a very good job with him."
