"When I came into the facility it smelled awesome like you had just washed your clothes at home. The rooms were clean, some were not and that's understandable. The staff was very friendly for the most part. When I went they were playing bingo and they have a calendar up that lets everyone know what activities are going to happen for that day. The building has a therapy room incase anyone needs therapy. I bring my mom every so often to do a 5 day stay and I highly recommend this facility. "

"My sister is at Killeen Nursing and Rehabilitation. It all seems very good. The only thing right now is, they're a little short-staffed. So, some things may not be getting done. It's clean, the furniture looks good, and everything looks new. My daughter calls her aunt every day, and lots of times the nurses' station does not answer. They usually take the phone to my sister so she can talk with my daughter, but she hasn't been able to get in touch with them now for a couple of weeks. They don't answer or they don't call her back. I don't see any activities; my sister is pretty much bedridden. I don't know what she does for the 24 hours a day that she just lays there, so that bothers me a bit. The actual staff that tends to the patient seems well, but the director of nursing seemed a bit standoffish. My sister is on Medicare and Blue Cross, and I don't know what they're charging her. They need more staff."

"RehabLiving at The Meadows was a very nice facility. The staff who assisted me with the tour was very professional, very nice, and very helpful. The building was recently remodeled and it was very nice. They had physical therapy, planned activities, art rooms, exercise rooms, and TV rooms. The courtyard looked very nice. We were very impressed with the place. It was all one story, and it had a very nice layout."

"My dad is at Hillside Medical Lodge for rehab. Everybody has been very friendly, very nice, and very helpful. The room is probably a little smaller compared to when he was in an actual assisted living, but they keep everything very nice. They take very good care of him, so I don't have any complaints. I haven't tasted the food, but he seems to enjoy it. I would say it is worth the money because they do a very good job with him."

"this facility has apartments for elderly and also a medical center. the cool part is that they make the patrons feel like they are home and help the ones that cant make it on thier own. early and late dinners and room service. they also have Alzheimer's assisted living residences. they work to preserve self-esteem, maximize independence, and enhance the personal satisfaction of all of our residents through innovative living areas, individualized assessment, and specialized care. retirement comunities and daily activities its not anything like the nursing homes you see on tv its better. "My father is in Regal Health Care. Our experience has been good, so far, but he has only been there for three weeks. It is small, and the staff is friendly and informative. The room is nice and clean. Their memory care unit offers more one-on-one care, and the patients cannot get out. "

"Spring Oaks is smaller and a little less expensive because it's in a smaller town. But the nurse to patient ratio is quite high. The place is not so bright and cheerful or warm. However, the physical therapy department is quite good. The rooms are not bad. It's a little bit basic and plain, but they have nice television. "

"Two surgeries whose aftermath left me in need of extensive rehab. The first one left me unable to walk. I was in two seperate facilities, one in Round Rock & one in Temple. Neither once was able to improve my situation. I live in Belton, so finally I decided to move to Belton in order to make it easier for my wife to visit. My son came to Belton to check out facilities and decided Creekside was the place to go. It has become my home away from home when I need help and encouragement. The staff is great, rehab has been very effective, and the surroundings are extremely pleasant. Today I have been released to go home. Thanks to Creekside I am now able to return home and to work.. If you have loved ones in need of a rehab type facility, Creekside Terrace is the absolute best I know of. "

"My mom was in Lampasas Nursing & Rehabilitation Center for 3 and a half months. She got out yesterday. The staff is much more caring there, even though they are understaffed. I would say every facility is understaffed. I don't think that's the facility's fault. I think it's people calling in and just not coming to work. The building was old. I think the rooms are really small for two people to occupy them. The staff is very friendly though. The furniture is very, very old like the beds are prehistoric. I realize it's an old building, but the furnishings are very old. The doors are falling off. They need to be more updated on the beddings. I know the building is a little old itself, but they could use a little bit of uplift on the beds and stuff. The staff was very friendly, nice and caring people. They go outside to do stuff with the residents. They're very good and we had a very good experience with several of the people there. They do what they're supposed to do. They did the paperwork and they called me when something happened."

"I Refuse to give them even one star. They have almost killed my mother for lack of oxygen an supervision. She has been verbally abused by the employees and physically abused by another resadent. Mind you she was only there for 4days. We are currently in search of a new place for her. They offer nothing but excuses to everything that happens there. "

"I was in Park Place Manor, and it was good. It was clean. The people that took care of me were good. I told them if I ever had to go back into one, that's where I would go. The only thing I had a problem with was the food, but I talked to the head of the kitchen and told him, "You need to do something about this" and they started fixing it. I was ambulatory. They had people that couldn't get out of bed. They had people that were in wheelchairs and they took them to the dining room and they had to feed them. They had all levels of care there. They take great care of their people. They have some things they need to improve, but they are trying. When I told them that, the kitchen started being better, we started getting better food and the care started getting better. I was in the rehab center for about three weeks. When I got there, I was getting cold food. When I left, we were getting hot food. I talked to the director, I said, "You have to go in there and eat what we eat. You need to tell your people when we ask for a shower, then give us one." They put us on a schedule because of the fact that they had so many of us. Since COVID, healthcare professionals are quitting work, and our healthcare professionals are working 12-hour shifts. They are doing a very good job having to work 12-hour shifts. We had all kinds of activities. We had exercises, games, and movie nights. The girls would come down and get us for physical activities. They had a room that was set up and they made sure we did our physical activity every day. I was in there because of a fall and they would walk me and get me to where I could walk better. By the time I got out of there, I was walking really well. They are the cleanest rehab center around here. They give you great value for the money that you have to pay. I met a lady when I was there, and she'd been there for two years. She got a great value for the money she had to pay. When she went in, she couldn't walk. She was stuck in the bed and every place else was trying to take everything that she made. After that, she was up and walking, she could dress herself, and take care of herself. There were a couple of other ladies that were going home about the same time I was. They went in and they couldn't do anything. When they left, they were able to take care of themselves and they were going to go home to family. The girls that work with you want to see you get well and be able to move and take care of yourself. The nurses are the same, they want you to take care of yourself and be able to do things."

"Since my mom has a memory problem, we have chosen Westview Manor because they have locked areas where she stays, so that was the main thing. The room is just average. Some of the employees are really, really nice, and then some of them just don't talk to you hardly at all. I have not tried their food, but they don't look all that good. I would say they're average. However, the dining area is good. They usually eat in a big, open community area. It's always clean and everything looks nice. They have an outdoor courtyard that's enclosed, and they do lots of activities. They have bands and people come and sing for them. They play games and stuff, so it seems like they have a lot of activities. My mom has adjusted pretty well, so for her, it has been OK. We haven't been 100% satisfied with it, but it fits OK for us."

"My uncle was at Coral Rehabilitation and Nursing of McGregor. What I liked most was that they seemed more attentive to the patients. They were very friendly. They didn't have much entertainment for the people at the beginning. They had tables and chairs, and you could watch TV, and that was it. They had just opened it and that's all they had. They had a lot of private rooms. My uncle had a private room, and had more space than he does now. They were all attentive to him and very kind. They would stop by and say hi. They were on top of things. I never saw anybody fussing, complaining, or telling them to wait. It's an older building, but they kept it clean. And they were working on putting in a gathering place and working on fixing up the yard and the building and all that."

"My aunt is at Wellington and I'm thinking about moving my mom there. She would rather be at home but she is comfortable there. The facility is nice. The staff is friendly, nice and professional. She hasn't complained about the food but she is losing weight. The food looks okay to me. The facility themselves have been remodeled and they are very modern. They have plantation type blinds and what looks to be wooden floor but is laminated wooden floors. They have nice sized closet and flat screen TVs in the room. The doors have alarms on them and if someone were to leave or come in, they can hear the alarm go off. They probably need to put something up outside where you walk into the door that is more of a barrier to the streets. The place sits right on 31st street which is a major traffic vein to the center part of Temple. I would be concern if someone where to get out that shouldn't be; they can be on the street in no time flat. My aunt seems happy with it though. "
