"Just to let you know that most everything was good a Sagebrook. but I want to let you know that Vivian was the BEST. I came in from the hospital on Friday and Saturday and Sunday I had no pain medication and I cried most of each night because I was in pain from my surgery. Nurses said they could do nothing without a Dr. telling them to do so. So, they called no one and I was left to just live thought it. When Vivian was my nurse, she did what she could do to help me feel better. Always came in to check on me even after I was finally on pain killing Meds. Most of the nurses were good, but Vivian was just the best. Didn't take a long time with me because of all her other patients, but just enough time to see I was Ok. Neva Friedrich"

"Our experience with Llano Nursing And Rehabilitation Center has been fine. My father is not upset to be there. The staff is good. I haven't run across anybody with a bad attitude. The food seems to be fine. My dad hasn't complained about it. They have physical therapy, speech therapy, a recreational room, and a big open room where they play dominos and bingo."

"I visited Cottonwood Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation. The staff was very responsive. Cottonwood is a little more of a nursing home feel. It was very clean and very well kept. Like I said, very caring individuals, but it is just a little bit more sterile. It is a different environment. The rooms basically looked like a hospital room. They have a hospital bed, two closets, a big round table, two comfortable-type sitting chair, an in-table and the table that swings across the bed. They have a TV on the wall and built-in cupboard. "

"My husband was here, and I thought it was fine. However, my husband didn't like any nursing home. We chose them because it was located here -- a mile from the house. They were good and appeared to be very clean. He had his own room. The personnel were very friendly, very nice, and easy to deal with."

"Out of every place we've looked at thus far, Longhorn Village is the top. All the staff, from the management people all the way down to the maintenance people who we were introduced to, was nice. The residents were talking to us and telling us it is a great place. The rooms were large, lighted, and airy. The dining facilities were immaculate. They have their own pool, water aerobics, card game nights. They have trips to Austin. They do cruises once a year on cruise ships. You name, they have it. We talked to the activities director. He said if we can think of anything, if we can get a couple of people that want to do it, they'll work it up. I'd highly recommend them, but it is costly. "

"Spring Oaks is smaller and a little less expensive because it's in a smaller town. But the nurse to patient ratio is quite high. The place is not so bright and cheerful or warm. However, the physical therapy department is quite good. The rooms are not bad. It's a little bit basic and plain, but they have nice television. "

"My mom was in Lampasas Nursing & Rehabilitation Center for 3 and a half months. She got out yesterday. The staff is much more caring there, even though they are understaffed. I would say every facility is understaffed. I don't think that's the facility's fault. I think it's people calling in and just not coming to work. The building was old. I think the rooms are really small for two people to occupy them. The staff is very friendly though. The furniture is very, very old like the beds are prehistoric. I realize it's an old building, but the furnishings are very old. The doors are falling off. They need to be more updated on the beddings. I know the building is a little old itself, but they could use a little bit of uplift on the beds and stuff. The staff was very friendly, nice and caring people. They go outside to do stuff with the residents. They're very good and we had a very good experience with several of the people there. They do what they're supposed to do. They did the paperwork and they called me when something happened."

"My father is in Regal Health Care. Our experience has been good, so far, but he has only been there for three weeks. It is small, and the staff is friendly and informative. The room is nice and clean. Their memory care unit offers more one-on-one care, and the patients cannot get out. "
