"Both of my parents spent their final years at Holly Hill. We came to know many of the staff members over the years, they were always great to my parents. It seemed like a very warm and welcoming place to us and we have a lot of fond memories from there. They have recently completed a beautiful addition to the facility. With that kind of growth the personalized care from ownership seems to have suffered. Our father passed away on the 12th, the owner never even offered condolences to us until 12 days later. He knew us all very well. We had been going there for 8 years. We even shared prayers with him when our mother passed away. But I guess in the end it's a business and we are no longer a customer. Nice facility, Great Staff, but things have changed from what it used to be. "

"The staff and especially the therapists were excellent! I went to Heather Hill unable to stand or walk, and ten weeks later I walked out under my own power. I highly recommend them. I am very grateful to the people of Heather Hill for helping me get my life back. They became like family to me. "

"Please note: this is only a review for the rehab/skilled nursing section of Eliza at Chagrin; our family did not have experience with assisted living or memory care, and those may be quite different. My 90 yr. old mother-in-law was in rehab there for three weeks, until Medicare stopped covering. The landscaped grounds are quite lovely - I saw wild turkeys roaming - while the rooms are fairly plain and the furniture slightly worn. The facility is clean and looks to have a nice library area, dining room and patio. Staff seemed stretched, and staff social worker was surprised when I mentioned my mother-in-law hadn't had a family care meeting which they said was to be scheduled within a week of admission. It was finally held 2 1/2 weeks later, and was essentially a discharge meeting. My MIL got PT and OT 5 days a week, and sometimes even on the weekend, which was very helpful for her. The biggest disappointment was that my MIL was not given a bed bath or any such basic hygiene for three whole weeks, likely due to staffing issues. After pressing them, they finally gave her one the day of discharge, and told her, "now you can tell your family you had a bath"."

"My mother was moved to Blossom Hill for her last days. She was cared for by the staff with an incredible amount of compassion. The staff was so good to her and my dad. They were very personal and understanding. We were so glad she was there and we were able to be with her to the end while she was being cared for with such professionalism. Thanks Blossom."

"My mother-in-law was in Mapleview Country Villa. It seemed like a nice place, everybody was friendly, and they were concerned about her. She had rehab there, and when she had some other issues going on they tended to that too. The facility was clean and was set up very nicely. The staff that I interacted with was very good. She did some physical and some occupational therapy there."

"I had stayed at this facility for 16 1/2 months and most of the time the nurses and assistant nurses did a good job. Unfortunately there is a big turnover with employees and it’s hard to find good help, but the ones who have been their along time are very good. Rooms were clean and lots of activities to do and the food was good most of the time."

"My wife is in Kensington for about two months now. We are familiar with it because my mother in-law stayed here before as well. We are satisfied withthe facilityand my wife is getting good care. The food is fine. They have 5 or 6 different activities in a day, and she participates in some of them. "

"We're on the waiting list at Anna Maria. It is an older facility that they re-did, and they are doing a brand new additional opening up this summer. The staff was wonderful. They had a full nursing staff, a doctor on call, and all kinds of amenities. They had three meals a day. We haven't eaten there, but we went to the dining room and looked at the menu. The menu was something we could go along with, and if you weren't happy, they would change it to whatever you ordered. They had a workout room and a van to take you to doctor's appointments. "

"My mother-in-law was at Aurora Manor Special Care Center. We did not have any complaints. She was cared for well. The nursing staff was attentive. As she was passing, there wasn't a restriction on the number of people that could be in there with her. She did not have a roommate. They seemed to be very supportive and understanding of family. If we had an issue as far as needing to change the bed quick, that kind of stuff, they were on point regarding that. They had a common meal area, but for those that needed to be in their own room, the meals were brought to them. They had activities because walking through at different times, they would make an announcement whether it was a music thing that was happening. It was apparent that they were able to engage those that were at the facility if they chose. Sometimes, they didn't have enough staff but we didn't have any specific issues in getting someone if we needed someone. There seemed to be a healthy and varied diet and they seemed to be very cognizant of the patient."

"My mom was at Legacy Place & was given excellent care. The staff was always so friendly & mom loved the friends she made there. "

"I went and visited a client of mine (I am a care coordinator) in this facility and I was so impressed with how clean and nice this facility was. The staff is very friendly and my client is being cared for very well. I have been in some facilities that the minute you walk in the door you feel like I would never put my animal in this facility let along a family member. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. "
