My mom had a terrible accident here in Maplewood Care Center. We didn't agree with their explanation of the accident. She actually split her head open and had 12 stitches, 15 staples, and a fractured neck. I was very upset. They didn't report it to the state because they are claiming it to be an accident. They are claiming that she fell over a wheelchair and caused this kind of damage. My mom and her roommate have Alzheimer's. The staff heard a noise, and when the nurse went in, she found my mom in a pool of blood on the floor. Nobody knows really what happened. There were no cameras, and the people in the room can't tell you what happened. I was very upset and very disappointed. You pay that kind of money for professional care, and that’s what we ended up with.

My husband is in the Maple Wood Care Center and he's been there for quite some time now. The staff is very friendly, caring, and efficient, and I'm pretty much satisfied as far as the care he's getting.
