"The facilities were very nice and updated. The outside was also nice, but more parking is definitely needed. The staff were generally nice, but some were not as knowledgable as they should have been about my grandma's condition. The amenities were nice, there was even a hair salon on the 2nd floor where residents can get their hair done. The eating area was also updated and bright and cheery. Overall, a very nice facility! "

"I moved my mother to their assisted living. I am impressed with the care that they give and the amount of staff. It is a nice and pretty environment. They staff has a positive, friendly attitude. She has a single room that is a lot larger than any of the other places that I visited. They have a good of selection of quality food, and the dining room is attractive. They have religious services, holiday parties, bingo, exercise activities, current events, classes, meetings, and arts & crafts. They can improve on reminding people of the activities. They have a calendar, but people have a hard time following it. Aside from that, I think it is as good as it is going to be for her. "

"why is there no atm or little shop for residents to get things they need. it would allow them to feel more independant. they would not have to rely on others for daily needs. place is beautiful and staff is great."

"My issue is with billing when my mom went on hospice care when I agreed to pay $350 per day for room and board beginning on April 16 2019 for which I sent a check for $2450 to cover from 4/16-4/22. My mom passed away just after midnight on 4/19. I requested a refund for the unused days I paid for. After several phone calls the check arrived for less than expected with no paperwork attached as to how it they justified the amount. I called again asking for a call back to resolve the issue and instead received paperwork showing they were charging for a day prior to going on hospice for which traditional Medicare pays. My wife advised me not to send the payment in advance and wait to be billed I wish now I had listened to her advice."

"We went to Dumont Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare. It was very good. Very nice. The space is pretty big, and there are a lot of people helping. It's very active, and it's very well organized. I couldn't go inside the rooms, but I saw them from the hallway because they are preventing people from getting sick from COVID, so I'm not allowed to go in. But it was pretty big, nice, and well-decorated. The beds are pretty nice. It's very nice inside. They had the therapy section. It's pretty big and very nice. They are giving therapy to everybody, not just to one person. They work together. I see a lot of good things about the communication between them. I saw that they work well. It's very clean, too."

"The rooms are very nice,Laurel Bay is a wonderful place to live it is very homey. I,ve been living here since 1998 and if you have to live in a nursing home Laurel Bay is where you should stay whether it’s short term or long term it’s all just like one big happy family. Everybody is a part of the family. We do all kinds of activities including great parties and wonderful live entertainment. It’s one big family we all take care of each other. Administration and staff are always there for you. Laurel Bay is a very welcoming place. M. "Sands Point has been taking care of my dad for many years. Nursing is the best and they always keep me posted on anything that is going on with him and the facility. He prefers to do his own thing, but recreation helps him with anything he needs. The director of nursing and the administrator, as well as everyone else there, is always available to answer my questions. Thank you to Stuart who always helps me with communication, when I'm not able to get there myself. The place is clean with is also very nice. "

"All of the activities start on time. Many different activities are offered in the facility. The staff is very helpful. My favorite activity is playing Bingo."

"The staff was very friendly and actually knew what was going on with the patients in their care. They always make sure that medications are dispensed on time and accurately, and they are very patient with the patients. They always are constantly checking in on the patients, and communicate very well with family members. The building, at the time was very old, but it was clean and organized. The food looked like it was very good and my grandmother said it was much better than most. Also it is nice to see the same staff members there for a long time which to me means that they like what they are doing, rather than treat it like a job that just pays the bills. When I walked through the building I always got a nice smile from everyone I came in contact with. Also it looked like their equipment was up to date and pretty new. The building has since been removed and they built a new complex that is about 10 times the size. "

"From the moment you walk in, the place is welcoming and clean. The staff are thorough in keeping tract of all the people coming and going to ensure everyone's safety. Even as a volunteer, I wear a temporary ID while in the facility. It's common to hear that living in a nursing home can become depressing for residents. The activities department does a wonderful job of keeping the residents busy and engaged with each other and with other staff members. There is a calendar on each floor that lists the schedule of activities for each day of the month. I usually come in on Bingo day, which runs for about 1.5 hours. The staff are so organized at transporting and seating the residents before and after the activity. There are plenty of volunteers who get to help those residents who may not be able to hear well or see well so that everyone has a chance to play. The staff are kind enough to let volunteers go around the facility and spend one-on-one time with residents when there are no activities going on. As a volunteer, it's very rewarding for me to get to learn about their experiences as well as to put a smile on their faces. I think it's important to note that the nurses are very organized when giving out medication and keeping tabs on their residents. The rooms are clean and tidy, and there is enough room to allow privacy for two people who share a room. Once a month, the activities department holds a party to celebrate the birthday celebrants of that particular month. This is a time when family members and friends get to spend time with their loved ones while having cake, cofee and dancing to music. It gives the residents a chance to mingle and socialize with those they don't usually see on a daily basis. The staff here not only do an exceptional job of taking care of the residents, but also go that extra step in getting to know them and treating them like family. "

"Not many people know to much about this facility although, it is situated in one of the best parts of the city. As well, as 24/ 7 living in nurses, there are also plenty of transportation that is helpful in order to transport the patients to and from doctor visits. With a staff of qualified and caring professionals.This facility provides senior services in New Jersey to those individuals transitioning from hospital to homes in our sub-acute program, as well as those who require long-term care in our nursing home facility New Jersey. The facility also has around the clock ambulances, in case of any possible emergency.
