"I am a current temporary resident of this facility because I had a total knee replacement done. So I came here seeking PT and OT treatment and also regular treatment while I was healing. This is such a nice place with wonderful care and you can tell that the workers are sincerely concerned with making sure you are comfortable and cared for. It is clean and I love love the nurses aides are always there for me. So I couldn’t recommend this high enough!!!!"

"I have to share how I feel about the Dumont Center for Rehabilitation. The place is beautiful and comfortable to visit. The staff are welcoming and helpful with all our needs. Starting with Executive Administrator all the way to the hospitality staff, they’re 5 star. My mother has been a resident for five months, on the third floor unit, and the improvement in her is night & day. She was unsure about staying, but now she is one of the staff as she walks around making others feel at home. I can go on forever with my gratitude, but I’ll stop. I just have to thank you, Dumont Center, for giving my family and I the confidence to place our loving mother in your care. For ever grateful!"

"I put my father in Sands Point Center. The staff is very good; they are very caring and attentive. I didn't taste any of the food, but it smells good. It is very clean, and there are lots of activities. Justin came in the other day to perform, they have pet visits from their pet therapy, and they have Bingo and different kinds of luncheon, Wii, trivia, and contests. I am very happy. "

"It is very good that we moved my mom to St. Mary's. The facility where she was before wasn't good to her. She was getting UTI and she wasn't being cleaned properly at that facility. Since we moved her here in St. Mary's, she cleared up and got better. What I like most about this center is that she doesn't have any health issues like infections or bedsores. Plus, her health is getting better. She is awake and alert, so obviously they take very good care of her there. However, they could improve on the number of their staff. They were too busy taking care of their patients that they can't spare a staff to take calls from families. Yesterday was my mom's birthday, and so we called her there. Unfortunately, they were too busy to let us talk to her on the phone. That was disappointing. Except for that one time, their staff has been great. Nevertheless, I think family is important too when you're in a nursing home. So they should always give access for communication between families and patients. "

We were kept fully informed on our moms care and constant communication via telephone or email if we were not present in the building. I would highly recommend for all elderly care. "My father is a resident at New Community Extended Care. I wanted to take my father out of there, because I'm not happy with this facility. I don't see it being safe and sanitized. I'm just not happy with it. I need to get my father out of there, and put him in a better facility. And to the point that I can actually go see my father. I shouldn't have to sit here and have this nurse practitioner timing me for me to see my father. He's not capable of me physically going to see him through a door; my father has Alzheimer's needs, it's not gonna work. The only person that I honestly trust is this nurse practitioner. She's amazing, but that's it. Unfortunately, I never got the opportunity to actually sit down and have lunch with him. 'Cause I was working at that time, I used to bring him food and he always seemed like he was starving. He would eat it all up. Every time I walk in there, it smells like urine. And I understand that. I understand that they are all with diapers, or whatever, but I was going to his bathroom and the bathroom floor was sticky. It was not cleaned. The money that they're taking is his social security."
