"My Dad was here and we were satisfied with therapy and some of the nurses. A few could have had a better bedside manner, but by and large, the majority were excellent. The main thing is, they got me strong and healthy and back home in time for our daughter's baby shower! "

"Hopkins Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare was clean, and the staff seemed friendly. They have a gym. The courtyard is very small, and it's mainly for smokers, so that's the only thing. They have days where they sing, and they have movie nights, too. However, they didn't have too much entertainment. Also, some of the couches were old. They were nice and elegant, but they were a little bit old. In terms of location, there's a restaurant and a hospital nearby."

"I had to express my appreciation to all the staff members for helping a group of Laurel Bay's residents enjoying the fireworks celebration. It was nice and lots of fun to see the fireworks. The colors were beautiful, it was nice to be part of the viewers of this Fourth of July Celebration. "

"I absolutely love Lincoln Park! The facility is very nice and the staff is awesome. They feel like family to us. I have never had a complaint and my husband has been here since July. I am so thankful that they accept Veterans, so the men can visit with each other. "

"my father been a resident going on 4 years now and honestly I felt nervous leaving him there because who really wants to see a family member in a nursing home, but as time went by I l've seen how the nurses, the staff members treat my father with such patience and care. There's certain staff members that goes beyond for my dad. They would care for him as if he were their own family member which I love.. Even though the building been under renovation, you will notice how clean the facility is....during this pandemic the facility arranges video calls for family members and I tell you this is the best thing that could happen...the person in charge is so kind n patient and goes out his way to make sure an appt is set up for me n my family to talk to my dad....hes amazing!!! I really cant speak on the activities because my likes to stay in bed or sit by the nurses station to flirt with the staff...that's his speech therapy lol...Him being at ditmas park center has been a big stress reliever!!!!"

"Cranford Hall was at one time the estate of a wealthy family. The property itself is about 150 years old and tucked into a residential area of this small New Jersey town. The building itself and the grounds are quite lovely, offering a shady, comfortable sitting area for the patients who are mobile enough to visit with their families when the weather allows. The trees are as old as the property and still surround the building, keeping the lovely old estate appearance. If you didn't know it was a nursing home, you would never guess, it simply looks like a well kept old mansion out of the way of the city traffic.The interior of the building has been compartmentalized over the years to accommodate the residents. The various wings of the facility house the patients according to their mobility. Alzheimer's patience, for instance, have a separate section of the building, and for their protection, cannot gain access to the entry hall or the grounds. Patients who are mobile enough and of sound mind can have freedom of movement in many common areas, including the great hallway downstairs.The interior of the home is not fancy. It is plain, and visually, can be a little depressing. It does, after all, house the very old and infirm who can no longer live on their own. Although the patient rooms are spare, they do provide space for the patients' personal effects and the families are allowed to bring small pieces of furniture if desired, such as a bedside table, or a favorite chair, etc. to keep some feeling of home for the patient. The rooms have plenty of space for family photographs, or even pictures drawn by grandchildren to display on the wall, and these practices are encouraged. Cranford Hall has several small resident birds and a guinea pig that live in the great hall, are well-cared for, and enjoyed by those residents who love animals. When my mother lived there, we were also permitted to bring our family pet to visit her, as long as the pet was properly restrained and well-behaved. We appreciated this so much.In my experience, the staff was very attentive to my mother, and she was always kept clean, comfortable, and was properly tended to. Their treatment of her was warm and caring, and several particular caregivers indicated to me how they loved her. I felt that those particular people had a special compassion, and it comforted our family to know this. Cranford Hall is family-run, and the lady in charge of the facility now actually grew up there, and although she is elderly, she is still very involved in the day-to-day running of the home.Although there are many more homes that will put more into the visual aesthetics of their facility, I rated this home on the higher end of the scale because of the quality of care that is given to the patients, and the level of attention they recieved from the staff. They took much of the worry away from us during my mother's stay there, and it did help so much to ease the burden. We were very encouraged at how well she was kept physically by the staff, and in determining these things for our family members, this is such a large consideration. "

"Hi. Cornell Hall of Union NJ, is, in my opinion, a good nursing home. The staff is so kind and considerate of their patients. Very nice atmosphere for patients to be in. The patients have all kinds of activities and holiday parties. The patients also, make lots of friends that seem to be very,very friendly.This facility overall, is the best that I have ever seen.The patients are free to go home with relatives for a visit and a short extended stay with their loved ones, from time to time. The facility is cleanand the air is fresh. This is a plus because, I have visited other nursing homes and I can tell you that when I walked through the doors, immediately, I was overcome with bad smelling air. But this place, is not like that at all. This nursing home, keeps their establishment, very clean. I'm really very happy about this. "

"My aunt stayed at Manor Care Mountainside for rehab. She's been there a few times in the past few years. The blinds in her room were dirty, the walls were chipped, and neither one of the TVs had a remote. I kept asking for one, and the nurse just went to another room and got one for me. The rehab staff and the nurses were really good. The food seemed fine. They had bingo and a few other things. Her room was clean and the floors were always clean, but the blinds needed to be replaced and some of the furniture was very dinged up. It looked very rundown."

" My mom has been @ Clark Nursing Home for the past 4 years. She is very happy there. When I finally accepted the fact she could no longer live unassisted, was becoming immobile, and in need of more and more special attention, I visited 4 facilities and ultimately chose Clark. The facility looked clean and up-to-date. It smelled clean. The staff was professional and friendly. My mom also accepted her new situation (which made this move much easier). By the end of the first year I saw that the cleanliness, the professionalism and caring was still there and perhaps had gotten even better. Nurses, Aides, Therapists and other support staff had developed a family-like relationship with my mom. COVID-19 has made visitations more challenging but the management @ Clark Nursing has met those challenges admirably. "The facility was very nice. The staff was very kind and caring, and were constantly making sure that everyone's needs were taken care of. Any issue with residents was solved in a timely manner to the best ability of the staff and faculty. The residence itself was also very nice, and was well kept. The grounds were very nice to walk around, and every resident seemed like they were enjoying the atmosphere. Every resident who I talked to expressed their overwhelming sense of satisfaction with the facility and its staff. As well as beautiful grounds, the facility also provides activities to participate in order to enjoy the time spent to the best of every resident's ability. Every resident had an opportunity to participate in an activity that they enjoyed. For example, the facility offered arts and crafts, musical sessions, and they had even recently installed a new Wii for the residents to play. "
