"I took a tour, they were nice and courteous there. It was a little bit smaller than the other place I visited, but we like it. The staff cared, and they had the amenities that we needed or that we were looking for. It's accessible to all of my mom's doctor's appointments so that's nice. The staff we met there were informative, patient, nice, and sweet. Their dining area seems community-based and open. The surroundings felt warm, you go in and it doesn't feel like a nursing home. Everybody was friendly there, it didn't feel like the people there were forgotten about, and there was a lot of care. They have transportation to doctors' appointments, which is great. They also had activities that they coordinate for the residents. I remember seeing a few people playing cards in like a sitting room. They have stuff that they plan and then daily stuff that they can do, which is nice."

"Sycamore Living is brand new. It just opened in the spring. It's on the small side, but I don't know how many residents they have, I think it's under 50. It's modern and clean. My mother's been there for 2-1/2 weeks now. The staff is very informative, and they've been calling and keeping us posted on how my mother's doing, so the communication is very good. I guess the food is fine; I haven't heard any complaints. I like it. It's very open. My mother's in a private room, but I would know better if I was able to visit her and I was walking in the hallway. I only had a tour of the facility, so it's hard to say. It just looked very nice. It was an office building that was reconfigured to make it into a nursing home or whatever you call these facilities. They have assisted living, long-term care, and rehab. It's a large building, and it's brand new."

"My issue is with billing when my mom went on hospice care when I agreed to pay $350 per day for room and board beginning on April 16 2019 for which I sent a check for $2450 to cover from 4/16-4/22. My mom passed away just after midnight on 4/19. I requested a refund for the unused days I paid for. After several phone calls the check arrived for less than expected with no paperwork attached as to how it they justified the amount. I called again asking for a call back to resolve the issue and instead received paperwork showing they were charging for a day prior to going on hospice for which traditional Medicare pays. My wife advised me not to send the payment in advance and wait to be billed I wish now I had listened to her advice."

"We went to Dumont Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare. It was very good. Very nice. The space is pretty big, and there are a lot of people helping. It's very active, and it's very well organized. I couldn't go inside the rooms, but I saw them from the hallway because they are preventing people from getting sick from COVID, so I'm not allowed to go in. But it was pretty big, nice, and well-decorated. The beds are pretty nice. It's very nice inside. They had the therapy section. It's pretty big and very nice. They are giving therapy to everybody, not just to one person. They work together. I see a lot of good things about the communication between them. I saw that they work well. It's very clean, too."

"The Best!!!!!!! They saved my life!!!! I cannot express enough gratitude to the Sands Point Team, for helping to save my life. I arrived on a stretcher and was able to leave, walking on my own. Rehab is the best. Nursing is wonderful. From the Director of Nursing, to the unit nurses, certified nursing assistants, Administrator, Guest Services, on and on. The facility is clean, the food is good and most importantly, the staff is caring. I highly recommend Sands Point Center to anyone and everyone. "

"My mom was at Clove Lakes for short term rehab. When she arrived, she could not walk without assistance. She walked out of Clove Lakes holding my hand and waving to the staff. She returned home after recovering following a long hospitalization. No one cooks like my mom but she loved the food and said it tasted even better because she did not have to cook it or clean up. Her rehab therapists and nurses were amazing. The aides treated her with tender care and she loved each one of them. She loved to treat them to little candies I would bring for her and when my sister and brother visited, she had them bring in little candy treats to give to the staff as well. Thank you to the Management of Clove Lakes for being there when we needed you most and if the time comes that we need you again, we will be certain to call you and to tell our friends about you. "I’m sorry for any one who had a negative experience in any way. It’s very stressful to place your loved one into a facility either long or short term. My grandmother’s room is clean and she is very well cared for. She is not a fan of staying in any facility but I find the staff very pleasant and easy to work with so far. They’re very helpful and attentive to her needs. I’m grateful for all of their help. Every case and situation is different. "

"My daughter-in-law works at Silver Lake Center and that's where the hospital sent me. It was nice, clean, and the therapy was nice, too. I was comfortable. However, they could update their menu a little more and work on a better dietary plan. Their food was terrible. "

"New Vanderbilt is OK, but the food could be better. The nursing staff on the floor is pretty nice. The room is semi-private, with two TVs on the wall for each patient. The dining area is just tables, and the food is a little bland and in small portions. "
