"South Mountain Rehab is nice, and I think the staff is nice and very concerned. They have patience with the family. They are nice and do the rehabilitation for their client. They try to have fun with them. So, I find them good. I wish my mother could stay there. The rooms are nice. It is two patients to a room. The facility is very nice too. They have different activities for them. They have people from the outside come in. They have different amusement forms. They sing. They have gospel and churches. They also do things outside, but maybe they can do a little more outside activities. "

"My issue is with billing when my mom went on hospice care when I agreed to pay $350 per day for room and board beginning on April 16 2019 for which I sent a check for $2450 to cover from 4/16-4/22. My mom passed away just after midnight on 4/19. I requested a refund for the unused days I paid for. After several phone calls the check arrived for less than expected with no paperwork attached as to how it they justified the amount. I called again asking for a call back to resolve the issue and instead received paperwork showing they were charging for a day prior to going on hospice for which traditional Medicare pays. My wife advised me not to send the payment in advance and wait to be billed I wish now I had listened to her advice."

"I was a patient at Meadowbrook care center back in 2015 in the summer and was there for almost 2 months. 5/28/15-7/20/15. I wasn't a model patient mind you as I'm a stage 4 lung cancer survivor who came in because I had a staph infection. The facility and its staff treated me nicely even tho honestly a few things I was frustrated about which were the amount of time in the beginning it took for aides to come and attend to me. First what was required was 2 to help and it's hard to get two aides to help as they are all busy helping other patients. This facility has some temporary residents and some who are permanently there others come back and forth because of medical problems. I couldn't walk when I got there so physical therapy help where tgst was concerned. Particularly one gentleman named Scott worked me pretty hard. We do PT & OT Mon- Fri & so,e on Saturday. I had other things going on beause of having fallen out of bed a Mercy hospital in Rockville Center as a bruise foot that took time to heal about 10 weeks as I was there. I even had an appendicitis on 7/9 and had to return to Mercy also I was anemic prior to that and returned again to get to units of blood which took 10 hrs so the doctors and nurses plus all the staff where very attentive. I give thanks to this facility for teaching me to walk again, I left on 7/20/15 after I got off antibiotics on 7/18/15 and was on them thevwho time there and at Mercy. I decided I wanted to give back soon after bad now am a volunteer there working 2x a week on mondays and Thursday nights helping residents with bingo and eveb met my room mate which honestly she was a bit of a pain ha ha but I made it through. As a cancer patient Memorial Sloan Kettering is my hospital and I continue to get MRI, Pet scans and Cat scans routinely. The food at Meadowbrook was fine but I find that folks are picky and I knew I'd only be there for a short time. I owe great gratitude to Meadowbrook and showed that to them on my last day there treated them.....the therapists to lunch and my floor to donuts. I then moved on to out patient therapy two days later in Seaford where I live. I worked out with a cane now no cane at all tho I still have issues with my knee joints becof the steroids I took. Thank you to all the good folks there. They will not be forgotten. "

"While looking for options of senior citizens assistance for my parents I got to Livia. Customer agent via web chat was kind and helpful in providing answers to my queries. As son of senior/ederly parents I want to provide them a wonderful and more enjoyable life for the rest of the time that GOD may have planned for them. Customer agent was very attentive, so I hope the rest of the personnel is as good as him or even better. That would provide a sense of trust and confidence that your love ones will be in good hands."

"I went to Belair Care Center after a total knee replacement. I couldn't have been happier with my stay there! The staff is friendly and helpful. The place is very clean and gives you a warm feeling. They have a little restaurant you can go to for lunch (that has a beautiful outside patio). I played bingo, did art therapy and even got visited by their therapy dog, Chloe. I give physical therapy an A+! "

"I chose to come to Laurel Bay because I find comfort here. All departments including nursing, recreation, dietary, and housekeeping all do a great job. I enjoy eating the food served at Laurel Bay. I enjoy pet therapy, listening to music, special events, and socializing with my friends. "

It could have been FIVE star if the waiting time at the elevator s were reasonable. And the fare at the café better. Bad coffee and orange juice. The food for patients is adequate for instatutional service. All in all : a wonderful place....No terrible surprise s.... "

Activities for residents include movie nights, painting classes and talent shows. Being a Catholic facility, there is a beautiful chapel for residents and staff that is sometimes frequented by members of New York's senior clergymen. "

"My aunt recently left The Riverside Rehab after a month of physical therapy. The community is absolutely gorgeous. The rooms are all updated with a beautiful pantry on each floor. The patients are well taken care of by the CNAs, nurses, administration, maintenance etc.. Every single person I came in contact with treated me with respect and were helpful. When my aunt needed anything she was never ignored. She felt important. She did amazingly well with her PT and she continues to thrive now back at work. "
