The PT staff and gym are excellent. Food is generally passable, but often inedible, and most often cold. Aides are overworked due to understaffing. People lay around for hours in wet diapers waiting for help. Riverside billed my insurance with diagnostic codes that had nothing to do with my condition. I'm confident they related to a roommate. The mice are a real problem. Wifi not available in all rooms. The rooms are dark, but clean. I would never recommend this place, nor would I ever go back.

don't send your loved one here, avoid this place- it ignored my mom and she eventually developed an infection and died

My sister is at The Riverside, and so far, so good. She's in a private room, and it's very clean. I saw gathering rooms. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the facility. I have no problems with it.

I'm satisfied with the care at The Riverside. My wife's room is OK. She has another woman in there who is about her age. Overall, I think it is really good for my wife to be there. There are quite a bit of entertainment. She doesn't take part in it, but they tell what is available at 2:30 p.m. upstairs, which is what they call the penthouse. They get her out in the morning, and they bring her to breakfast in the dining room. They come and get her for occupational therapy. Half an hour after lunch, they come and get her for the physical therapy. The food is very tasty. It is a good selection. I'm happy with the food. I'm also very satisfied with the physical therapy. The building is being rehabbed, and the elevators are being rehabbed. They are rehabbing it inside and out slowly, unfortunately, because there are people in there. The staff members vary; some nurses are very compassionate.

I wish you could give zero stars!!! We just had to remove my father from the facility only 3 days in, he was told he needed 20 days. The treatment and lack thereof by the staff was horrendous in nature. My dad who has severe COPD and is oxygen dependent, was first put in a room with the ceiling literally water stained and plaster falling from it. After several complaints went ignored, he was finally moved to another room. Once he was in the new room the staff disappeared. He needs assistance getting to and from the restroom. His calls were ignored for hours at a time and he was forced to soil himself on more than one occasion. He called home repeatedly upset and crying. When we reached out to the facility, phone calls went unanswered, ringing 30 times each call. When we did finally get through to express our concerns, the nurse had enough of it and hung up on us. Shortly after, he was brought to the bathroom and then left there for just short of an hour!!! He also had asked for a cord attachment to his light so he could turn it off at night. I guess his was broken. No one could be bothered to fix the cord nor come in to turn a light off. Yesterday we personally went there to see what was going on and it was not better at all. The excuses piled up quickly. They were understaffed, they needed to help patients on another floor, they were busy, etc...... Meanwhile, walking around you could observe staff members standing around doing nothing, on their phones, talking and laughing with co-workers!! While listening to this we observed rodents running rampant from room to room. Now, because we decided to remove him and not subjugate him to further abuse they refused to put in our request for home care visits (from an outside service) and also refused to write his medication prescriptions! As we were leaving, my father had to use the restroom. We were told they had no walkers for him to use. After complaints to 2 more staff members and almost 30 minutes later someone emerged with a walker and he was able to use the bathroom. No human being should have to deal with this type of treatment. STAY FAR FAR AWAY from this place.

My aunt recently left The Riverside Rehab after a month of physical therapy. The community is absolutely gorgeous. The rooms are all updated with a beautiful pantry on each floor. The patients are well taken care of by the CNAs, nurses, administration, maintenance etc.. Every single person I came in contact with treated me with respect and were helpful. When my aunt needed anything she was never ignored. She felt important. She did amazingly well with her PT and she continues to thrive now back at work.

The Riverside Premier Rehabilitation & Healing Center was dark, and it looked clean. The location is very nice in the city, but I found the place drab. It was very quiet, very quaint, and very homey. There were private rooms and different settings. I met some of the staff; they were pleasant enough.
