"Valley Healthcare Center was better than a couple of the others I had been to. They had two patients in each room, and they had a nice physical therapy with the machines. They had a room with TV in it and other things the patients could do. The lady who showed us and took us around was very nice, and that's the one that I would choose if I had to go somewhere. "

"Our mother spent 7 months there. The staff was so caring that they soon became a extention of our family. We all showed up at various times and never found her in a neglected condition. She actually was fearful of being transferred to a closer facility. They provided so much love and support to our big family all thru the process of her shutting down. Several staff members even attended her memorial service. "

"I often visited a friend of mine staying at this facility after he had surgery for esophogeal cancer. Unfortunately after surgery he was unable to speak and could not breathe without oxygen. They provided him with various means of communicating, such as erasable boards and portable typing equipment. When I visited they would always wheel him outside with his oxygen equipment, so he could have a chance to be outside. They were polite and accomodating at all times, providing different outdoor areas for our visits. If they knew what time I was arriving they would already have him set up with portable equipment for his trip outside. They were upbeat and friendly and the accomodations were clean. They got to know me and would ask personal questions based on things I had shared, making me feel they cared about me as well as their patient. "

"The TVs come on loud at night. Everyone I've had dealings with is great, but at night I keep hearing, "I can't make them turn it down." It seems to me that just being considerate would make the sounds come down at night. There are headsets for the hard-of-hearing, and I'd even get a couple if I had to. I'm told I have the option to close my door, but my roommate doesn't like that. Anyway, if their one closed door accommodates everyone else, wouldn't that be better than all the other doors being closed. Don't these people sleep? They did finally close their doors tonight, but you can still hear them. They must have the TVs loud enough for the dead in there? "

"My husband was in Reche Canyon, which was probably one of the nicest ones we were in. I felt they were short staffed because my husband's complaint was that he was left alone and didn't get service when he rang the bell. However, the nurses' assistants were terrific and had enough to do, but they never walked slowly. He played poker and bingo. "

"Everything seemed OK to me during my visit at Del Rosa Villa. I was able to see their rooms, and they are normal-sized rooms. I like the way they had a place outside where the patients can sit. Overall, it was a nice place. "

"The hospital arranged Country Villa Hacienda for me. The staff were very nice, funny, and hard workers. They help you get back on your feet after being in a hospital. I get along well with everybody. The food was good. The rooms were nice and comfortable. It was my first time being in that facility and I enjoyed it being there. "

"Heritage Gardens is a clean and inviting facility. The room that our relative stayed in was not a private room, but he had good access to entertainment and stimulation while in recovery. The nursing staff were very calm and professional, which is important as our family member was initially suffering from severe confusion following surgery. The residents appeared happy and well-adjusted. Their staff were very good at answering our questions. Visiting hours were very good, and the facility did an excellent job of handling things with our family's insurance company. We felt very fortunate to be so close to such a great nursing home. They made the family feel much more secure about leaving our love one with them rather than having him come back home when we were not going to be able to provide quite the same level of care that he needed in order to recover fully. "

"I'm currently in Linda Valley Care Center. I've been here for about six weeks. I've been in three of them here in the Redlands Valley, and this has been the best caring facility I've seen. They're very attentive. It runs like a machine. Everybody's got a job to do, and they do it, and everybody's happy. This care center here is pretty good. They're really out there for you. Everyone's helpful. My room is a shared room. It's a very welcoming place, well-kept, very clean, and the staff is constantly cleaning. The people have a lot of compassion. The food is excellent. It's been completely remodeled, freshly painted, and everything works. You get what you pay for."

"There’s Community Care on Palm that’s really nice. It’s for mild and moderate memory care and for those who don’t act out. It’s beautiful. The staff was polite, but my mom was too far advanced with her Alzheimer's to be accepted there. We were able to take a short tour, and they explained that she didn’t fit into the culture of their community. They have rooms with 2 beds in each one and a hall that goes in a complete circle. You have an inside courtyard with windows that you can look out of, and there’s an outside courtyard that's gated. They have a beautiful little yard, and people are very calm there. The staff seems very nice and very adequate. Everybody gathers together in the dining room. It seems like they have a really nice community. It looks like it’s very family-oriented, so everybody is together and gets along really well. They were very impressive. "

"The staff at Highland Palms Healthcare Center were very nice, but there were not enough of them in my mom's area. I wish there was just more of them, so they would be more attentive to the patients, but they did a good job with the cleanliness. "
