"Westmont of Riverside is a beautiful community surrounded by 55-plus housing, so it's a very normal neighborhood-like environment that you drive through to get to their facility. It had a nice little fountain in the front, lots of parking, and it was beautiful and quite lovely. We were late, we called them first, and they were very gracious about it. The lady who helped us was very professional. She was a little off-putting at first, but I think that's because we were so late and we were probably interrupting her schedule, but she got over it quickly enough. She was very pleasant and certainly knew what she was talking about. They had a lot of things for people to do. They have a lovely library that is huge. We also went by what she called an art room. It was dark, no one was in there at the time, so I don't know exactly what they had in there, but she said that is where they have painting and stuff. They also had a sort of thing like when you're in old high school and there are recesses in the wall with glass where awards go. They had those types of things, and they had celebratory seasonal things displayed there. It stands out because nobody else did it. They had what looked like a giant activities room where they played Bingo. She said they also had various things that went on there at that particular time; they were doing bingo. One standout thing there, and I can only give the very basics of it, is that they had an on-site doctor. You don't have to use the doctor, but in probably all the old people's cases, they're all going to have doctors, and if you move a distance, which my sister would be, she's going to have to find another doctor within her group. While she's looking for a doctor, they have an on-site doctor, so she could sign up with them. It doesn't have to, though; they were clear about that. Most of the things that these old people are going to have going wrong with them are colds and flu, and they need shots and basic stuff that a GP is efficient for. It's really convenient to be able to book a doctor right there on-site. You can also get your pharmacy needs there, which is also nice. You don't have to, it's clear, but you could. They also had transport there, where if your doctor was off-site and you booked an appointment, you could book transport with them to get to the appointment."

"Everything is fine here. I've been here about almost eight months now. If you can't be home, this is a really good place to be. It's well taken care of, and it's very clean. The caregivers are lovely. I enjoy living here and I've made a lot of nice friends and acquaintances. They have a lot of activities going on and I just wanted to give them a little thumbs up there. They're very caring and if you need something, all you have to do is ask and eventually, you'll get it. They have been short of help lately because of this pandemic. Now that things are opening up, there are people that leave to go to get different jobs and so forth, but they take care of you just as much as they can. I have one particular caregiver that I just really love. I have to have help in the shower and she's wonderful. I just so appreciate it. If I can't be home, this is a good place to be. I play bingo, bunco, rummy, and left, right, middle. We have little activities like questions and answers, Who Am I? What am I? and things like that. I love those. It keeps your mind going. We have ice cream social on Sunday. Anybody that wants to be there is there. We have activities outside in the courtyard. We've had country music coming in, singing and playing the guitar. I folded a flag with another gentleman here on Flag Day. I'm a veteran, so I got to do that. The food itself is good. Sometimes it's not cooked as we'd like it to be, but they give you everything. My fingernails are much better since I've been here because I'm eating more vegetables and they have a variety of everything. Right now, you have two choices of your entree and that's good. You can have chicken or you can have fish or you can have whatever. We have three good meals a day. I enjoy the oatmeal and today we had muffins which are good and they have a variety of breakfast. You can have eggs scrambled and you can have an omelet if you want. They have ice cream once in a while and things like that. The meals are very well balanced, if you choose to eat that way. I have my own little freezer here, so I could keep ice cream bars and things. I have food in my room. My room is wonderful and very comfortable. I have a nice little apartment with a nice bathroom and I have a nice refrigerator, a microwave, and a little kitchenette there. It's very comfortable for me because I'm out most of the time doing something. I don't stay in the room that often, but when I do, I'm reading or watching TV. I'm very happy here. I have a balcony. My granddaughter got me two chairs and a little table that I have out there, and if the weather is receptive, I'll go out there and sit for a little bit. There are trees and a beautiful courtyard right in front of me. Everything is so well-kept. It all looks beautiful. They have a lot of overhead expenses with the staff and the food, so the value for money is fair. The dining room is lovely."

"It has a community that is friendly, alive, living, full of life, very pleasant, and comfortable. They were a little more than adequate. It's an older place, but it's welcoming. Everyone that we've met was very pleasant and very friendly. It's a larger place than we had expected, but it was clean. It wouldn't get boring because it's larger. The dining area was very nice, very pleasant, and very inviting. They had parking, balconies, and an outdoor area, like a community place. They have karaoke. They have family get togethers. They have dancing and live music. We were actually greeted by people who lived there and said this is a great place to live (which no other place we went to did that)."

"Corona RCFE was very nice, and the people were very friendly. The grounds were good. The room is perfect for my mother who is 92. She just needs a room with a little bed, a chair, and a TV. That's all she needs. It looks like she can go out and go to the dining room area, and things like that, and they have those things available too. The staff who helped me was very friendly and answered all the questions. She was very good. I didn't sample the food, but the dining area was fine. For activities, they have a little room where people can go and they can meet with each other and play games and so on, so that's fine."

"I like West Park Senior Living. They took me through the residences. They took me to various plans I could have there. I can't remember the girl's name who gave me the tour, but she was very nice. I'm contemplating whether or not I'm going to stay there. The layout was excellent. It was clean, and they had good maintenance. Overall, I thought it was really nice."

"My mom moved to Clearwater at Glendora. It's beautiful. The people are warm, kind, and professional. It is a welcoming environment also, not only for the residents but to the families. It's only one year old and it's beautifully decorated. So it's a lovely atmosphere, even just to walk into and beyond that, it's really the people. Their director is so kind and loving, and taking care of elderly people is her passion in life, and that comes through the nursing staff being very professional and thorough. Everyone just seems concerned about your loved one, not just like they're just doing a job. We had a very nice lunch. The dining area for memory care is not as elegant, but it's bright, clean, pleasant, and enjoyable. They showed me and told me a lot about the programming, but I haven't seen or done any of it. One good thing about what they say about their programming is that they routinely involve the memory care people with the higher functioning assisted living people, and they try to include everybody as best they can in the activities. I would say from the pictures they've sent me of my mom and what she's doing, they seem enriching and stimulating. One of the reasons I was looking to move my mom, her former place was too expensive for the care they were giving. I think this place is a really good value for what they're offering."

"My aunt and uncle moved to Bayshire Yorba Linda. They can accommodate a lot of things. The grounds are kept clean and the atmosphere is very inviting. It was very spacious. It didn't seem like everything was kind of crammed in. The people that we met there were very helpful and very kind. We haven't run into any problems as far as helping my aunt and uncle. The food is very good. My uncle is not as social as my aunt. Even within memory care, they have a lot of activities to stimulate their brain, and to keep them busy. We've been very happy with the available activities. The value of memory care is awesome. It's pretty reasonable."

"I went here for my mother. It was very well maintained. When you first walk in, it is very pretty. The entryway was very nice. It was very clean. I believe I walked through with the owner. The rooms were nice. It was set up very nicely. It had a very nice restaurant-type atmosphere. It just wasn't the right fit for my mother's needs."

"Magnolia at Highland is okay, but it has many rules and regulations. When you get old you're tired of rules and regulations. The room is very clean and the people get along well. You do your own cooking because it’s not assisted living. You do your own cleaning unless you have a caregiver. It’s a no smoking facility. You have to go to the sidewalk if you wanted to smoke, which is good. They have potlucks and birthday celebrations every month -- they do a lot of things for the seniors. They have a card club, swimming pool, and a recreation room that we exercise in. They've also got a barbecue grill. "

"We put in a credit application at Vintage at Kendall, but my daughter was denied. The visit was great. The property was well kept up, and the people were very nice. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The grounds and the amenities were very nice. I remember they had a recreation room and another room where they played pool. They had a pool outside, a barbecue area, and garages that you could rent. "
