"As you enter this facility you are greeted with a warm hello from friendly staff. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure everyone who enters feels welcome. The facility is small compared to most it is licensed for 50 beds. The rooms are small but cozy. You are welcome to bring your own belongings even a TV and /or radio to make it your own space. Staff is limited to the RN's and caregivers as for another services you may need to aid in your healing or Rehab you will need to have your Doctor arrange for a Physical Therapist or OT to come and see you here. They do not have these professionals on staff. The facility is clean and well maintained. The menu is well planned and there are healthy choices. The patients seem to be happy and well cared for. The staff is attentive and is very warm. I would place my loved on here if needed. "

"Mom was in Country Villa twice but it seems like her last stay there, the care was not as good. I'm not saying the staff was all bad. We mainly went to Country Villa because of my mother's doctor. I think he was on the board of something at Country Villa and because it was close to home. The room was clean but there just was a difference and it has a lot to do with the staff. It seems like with regards to their food, my mother would be one of the last people to eat. Another examle is if they gave some of the other residents cookies and something to drink and when she didn't get anything, she drank out of the flower vase. One of the other residents told me that so maybe they can watch over small things more closely. "

"We already got my grandma in Arcadia. Their staff is awesome. They are all very professional, very nice, and very caring. The place looks good every time I go in there. Her room is spacious enough. They have an activity schedule on the doors in every room, so they definitely have activities. From what I've seen, they have Bingo, and then if they need to get their hair or nails done, they offer all of that. "

"HELLO, , MY SON HAS BEEN A RESIDENT AT CHERRYlEE" FOR 15 YEARS... IN 1979 WE HAD HIM IN SEVERAL NURSING HOMES AFTER AN ACCIDENT AND WE HAD DIFFICULTY CARING FOR HIM AT HOME AS HIS CONDITION WORSENED. HE HAS BEEN PRETTY WELL TAKEN CARE OF THERE BUT THERE WERE TIMES WHEN WE HAD TO CALL IN "OMBUDSMAN" BECAUSE OF SOME MISUNDERSTANDINGS.. THEY DO PROVIDE THE CARE AND TREATMENT HE NEEDS AND ALSO HOST FAMILY INVITED PARTIES FOR HOLIDAYS AND OTHER OCCASSIONS...HIS BIRTHDAY IS ON THE 4TH OF JULY. HE WILL BE 55 "

"I have toured this facility. It is a 59 bed Alzheimer's-dementia Care SNF. It is small and they tend to cater to the asian community which is nice when you want your loved one to fit in with the population. The staff is primarily asian as well. It is clean and well maintained. Non-odorous. The lobby is homelike with a fireplace. Staff are friendly and caring. Patients seem happy, sitting in front of the nurses station while listening to music. The activity director seems really dedicated to the patients, keeping them busy at all times. It is secured and safe with locked doors. The downside is that it is on a very busy street. Shopping is very close by. It does not seem to be close to a hospital I would recommend this facility. "

"My sister is now in Monrovia Post Acute. The thing that I like the most is that it seems every single person that's employed there is so very caring, and they give their attention to the patient. It's really remarkable. The only thing that I don't like is that they put three people in a room and usually one of them is very ill. The food is not very tasty, according to my sister. She just can't eat some of the stuff. Their activity room is closed, because of COVID they still aren't making activities in one particular room. However, the activity manager brings things around, like if they want to color on paper or if they want to do crafts in their room, they provide those things. They don't have a salon facility there but they have physical therapy that is separate, and it's a very good program. It's located close to a hospital, and the freeway is about two blocks down."

"Review: My grandfather has been the primary caregiver for my grandmother for the last 30 years, and Santa Teresita Manor is the ONLY place that he trusts to care for his wife. We managed to get her into their care days before the Covid-19 epidemic froze all new admissions to long term care facilities. Care and Commitment to your Loved ones:First off, you don't need to be Catholic to be welcomed there. Their service is to all regardless of faith.  Before admission to the Manor, one of the nuns sits with your family and discusses the needs of your loved one and the family. It covered way more than I would ever have imagined, and covered many things that would not have occurred to us.  It really helped to calm a lot of the anxiety and fears that my grandfather had been suffering from. They toured us around the facility and my grandfather even became a bit excited!  The facility was very sanitary in appearance and odor (super important to me), more intimate and less "hospital" feeling in decor, nicely kept up, and perfect for my grandmother!  It had great facilities, and the residents did not appear to be depressed and unhappy (I've been elsewhere and not had the same experiences). The nuns at Santa Teresita joined their order due to their passion for caring for the physical, mental, and spiritual care for our loved ones. I can absolutely attest to their care in all 3 categories! Both my grandfather and I have noticed a steady upswing in my grandmother's mood since entering Santa Teresita (sometimes you can miss signs of depression when you're living with a situation for so long).  Their service and commitment is outstanding. These nuns and caregivers are outstanding in their care and attentiveness. They call any time there is any change of any kind in your loved one! Whether it be doctor visit results, +/- 3 lbs weight change, diet change recommendations, EVERYTHING! Response to Covid-19: Santa Teresita had possibly the fastest response to the Covid-19 epidemic in all of California. They immediately locked down and implemented the strictest of policies to ensure the safety of their staff and those under their care (including use of completely separate facilities and staff for those patients under quarantine). We get emails once or twice weekly with updates with general updates, plus Covid-19 positivity rates at the facility. I can happily state that there have been NO NEW CASES for over a month now! IN ADDITION, ALL STAFF AND RESIDENTS HAVE RECEIVED BOTH VACCINE SHOTS!!! Santa Teresita had gotten all their patients and staff BOTH shots before I had even managed to get ONE shot for my grandfather!  Outstanding! Visitations and facilitating communication:This has been the key to keeping my grandparents going during the last year. My grandmother is a quadriplegic, and on a daily basis she has someone who assists her in using Facetime with my grandfather. They also help her go through her emails and letters and read them aloud to her.  Visitations have depended on the state policies and positivity rates, but recently we have been able to schedule regular, in person, socially distanced visits with 2 or fewer people present at a time (the rest wait outside and swap placed). This has been an awesome development, and one we have all been thrilled about! Santa Teresita gets two thumbs up, 5 stars, and 10/10 from our family!"

"After searching around for nursing home for my mother, we chose Fernview. because it is not a huge home and was very clean when I visited. My mother was very ill and staff was wonderful with her. They took very good care of her needs and our family needs. We requested that she have her own room, which I didn't think they would have given to her because it was not a big home but they did. Also whenever we had questions for the doctors or nurses they were there too answer and help immediately. The home was also very clean and well taken care of. They had many activities for the residents. Also our family was able to visit whenever we wanted too, I was even able to stay with her overnight. After my mothers passing they were very comforting with us. I was very pleased with the service we had at Fernview. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nursing home. "

"This is an 18 acre senior residential community that offers services from independent living to hospice care owned and operated by a not-for-profit church organization located near the foothills. My guide was eager to point out that they have strict standards set by the organization they have to adhere to. The grounds are serene and beautifully landscaped. The interior has been remodeled and is very clean; I didn't detect any odors. The staff was very friendly and seemed to know the residents by name. The rooms were very nice and spacious; residents can bring their own furniture. The rehab room was very nice and well equipped because they focus on maintaining an active lifestyle and continuous learning. The menu was appetizing with fresh offerings. "

"Both my parents were residents. My mother broke her pelvis when she was 88 years old and the doctor in the hospital told us she may never walk again but at Mission Care with the most AMAZING staff and Rehabilitation Program she did walk again! The place is very clean and comfortable but to me, the most important thing is the level of care and the kindness of the staff and they are without a doubt the best facility I have ever visited. I can rest at night knowing that my loved one is being cared for... "

"Ramona is wonderful, nice, and extremely clean. It has a great patio with a very homey entrance that has lots of benches and tables in a picnic area. Everything looks brand new or remodelled, the closets are beautiful, and even though there are three beds, each bed has its own private TV and telephone. There’s more than enough staff at about 2-3 people per patient, if needed. They have card games, bingo, and two pianos. The food is really good, and the dining room is fancy. "

"We didn't really care for Two Palms. It was sort of dreary and dark inside. I did have a tour, and I did speak to a person there. All I did was walk in, and they took me around the rooms. They showed me the cafeteria where people eat. They showed me some of the bedrooms too. I didn't stay that long -- maybe ten minutes -- and it just seemed very old, dark, and dreary. The people were just sitting around doing nothing. "
