"I toured and the place was delightful, homey, and welcoming. There were people around engaged and the residents were out, it felt friendly. The room that I saw was spacious and clean, and most of them had a lot of outside space. The staff who gave the tour was delightful, enthusiastic, and welcoming. I didn't sample the food but the dining area looked great. In terms of activities, I saw one impromptu game of mahjong and board games."

"My grandfather initially had reservations about relocating, but the warm and hospitable reception he encountered has enabled him to embrace this new chapter in life. He has formed valuable friendships with fellow residents and has been made to feel an integral part of this community, enhancing his overall well-being. We are highly satisfied with the quality of care he has received here. The staff's attentiveness and support have been exceptional. The menu offers a variety of appealing options, and we appreciate their encouragement for him to engage in the activities. This community is truly outstanding, and we wholeheartedly endorse their services for other families in need of care."

"I liked Sparr Heights Estates Senior Living. It was the first place we saw, and it was much smaller. The area where everything was done (like watching TV or doing their exercise classes) was smaller. At that time, the majority of the individuals were in walkers or wheelchairs and really weren't getting around. I have two friends whose parents were in that facility. Both of them were extremely happy with it. They really liked the facility and had no issues with it. The lady that took me around was very nice. She was a different person than we initially were scheduled with. There were a couple questions that she wasn't sure about the answers to, which we would have been able to talk to the person we were initially supposed to go on the tour with. The apartments were also smaller, but they were nice and clean. The challenge was they didn't offer nearly as much as the other facility did. Their prices were lower, but they didn't have cable included in the price. It depends on what your needs are. They also didn't do field trips. They didn't have a craft room, but they had exercise classes."

"Clearwater at Glendora is very nice. It's very large, and sometimes when you go upstairs where the rooms are, it looks like a maze, which is fine, but it just seems a little informal. The staff who gave the tour seemed great. The facility itself was very clean and pretty modern. It seemed pretty new. Everything was great inside. They had a large gym and a physical therapy area."

"With Glen Terra, I was very impressed when I looked at the rooms. The three that were shown to us were very spacious for my mother, but not too large for her. They have lovely dining room area with linen table cloths and flowers on the table. The gentleman that I spoke with, Carlos Vera (I think was his last name), was very accommodating to us. He led us to believe that he and his staff will be very mindful of my mother as well as any facility should be. He's coming from a nursing background which makes him possibly a little more sensitive and positive towards the elderly or those who are choosing to live in that particular facility. Their facility will be assessing my mother on where she is, her level of ageing, and what is needed for her and her care."

"I'm in Leisure Vale Assisted Living. The staff is really good. They're incredible, really nice, and really helpful people. The food is great. It's really well taken care of. I've been here 14 months and I just really love it a lot. I live in a room, and I have a roommate and it works out well. It's not an apartment. It's like a full-size bedroom type thing. I've been to other places before and this place is really special for some reason. At 2:00 p.m. every day, they play bingo. They also have an exercise program every morning. They have a dart game they play. They have a horseshoe game, but it's not with horseshoes, it's with plastic rings. They play games with computers. They play word games, spelling games, and things like that. They have courtyards, one in front and one in the back, which is the smoking section, and they have a living room area. It's a really huge room and people can come in there and watch TV or visit with each other. They have a huge dining room. They have a recreational room. It's a little bit smaller, but it's more for smaller groups. They're really incredible, good people. They keep us pretty busy. It's definitely reasonable."

"This place has been such a blessing for our family. It's always clean and peaceful, which helps create a calm environment. My grandma's room is tidy and comfortable, just the way she likes it. The food is fresh and well-prepared. She enjoys her meals and always mentions how nice everything tastes. The staff here really make the difference. They’re not only professional, but also kind and friendly. They treat my grandmother with patience and warmth, which means the world to us. "On the occasions I have visited Sakura Gardens, I have found the facility to be impeccably clean and was impressed by the friendly and caring staff. Most importantly is that my aunt is always smiling and cheerful, a good sign of the care she is receiving. Shin, in particular, is always helpful and makes sure our questions are answered."

"Hollenbeck Palms is phenomenal. The facility and staff are outstanding. The environment and the meals are beyond incredible. The apartments are phenomenally well cared for. The activities are numerous. They are in wide variety and flexible topics. They have card games, movie and music activities. They have field trips to concerts, operas and theaters. They make arrangements for people to come to their facility as well as for the residents to go out to local venues. I am so pleased and lucky that my mom is there. "

"I went to Park View Place. The apartment has huge, huge doors. They had stoves. It was an inductive stove. They had a bedroom and a living room. There was a nice bathroom. All of them have walk-in showers. It had a shower seat, one of the teakwood or whatever it is, shower seats. They had a restaurant. We ate there. They had tablecloths and silver service. It was upscale and elegant. The dining room chairs are like what you would have in your house. The furnishings were a little more upscale. The decor that they decided on at Parkview was different but still new."

"Emeritus was a really nice place but kind of expensive. It was clean and it seemed like Beverly Hills. It looked so neat and it did have everything. There was even a place where they wash your clothes right there in the facility. It was self-sufficient and that's what I like. It was a little more expensive than the other facility but it was self-sufficient. The staff was also very helpful. "

"My parents are at Glen Park at Glendale, and it's going great. They have adjusted to this better than the assisted living they had been at previously, and the staff seems more attentive. Overall, it's very good. It's very clean and very well kept. It has a Hollywood theme with famous old movies off of the wall, and it gives them a lot to talk about. The room that they got was immaculate, and the food was pretty good. It felt homey."

"It is a very good facility. It has a great view. The food is excellent. The people who showed us around were very friendly. Everybody there was very friendly. Even strangers that we passed by in the hallway or in the yard, they were saying, "You'll love it here!" The residents seemed very pleased with this place. "
