"I toured Clearwater at Glendora, and I love it. I mean if something would happen, I would go there. It was just lovely, and it felt like a five-star hotel. I didn't like the kitchen, but the rooms were very nice. They have a refrigerator. The person who took me around was very communicative. She was just perfect. I have tried the food there, that was delicious. They had an outdoor area; you can do a barbecue there."

"We went to look here, it's brand new, it's beautiful, and they have a very nice staff. It was very luxurious and very nice. They had a very nice exercise room and a beauty parlor."

"My parents are at Glen Park at Glendale, and it's going great. They have adjusted to this better than the assisted living they had been at previously, and the staff seems more attentive. Overall, it's very good. It's very clean and very well kept. It has a Hollywood theme with famous old movies off of the wall, and it gives them a lot to talk about. The room that they got was immaculate, and the food was pretty good. It felt homey."

"We will be moving into West Park Senior Living. The rooms were larger, and the closet was huge. It's got two bathrooms, a living room, and a bedroom. The people are nice. They take you to the doctor. They have three meals a day, and you can have a glass of wine at dinner. They have free parking. We will be on the seventh floor."

"Their parking was an issue at Brookdale Uptown Whittier as we didn’t find a parking lot, but there was street parking. They were close to shopping and all of the stuff to do outside of the facility, but we weren't interested in that. Their dining rooms were set up differently, and they didn’t seem to have as many people that required assistance. Their rooms are nice and big, and the one room that they did show us has a small kitchenette with a refrigerator. The gentleman that was in charge was very polite and gave us information. "

"This is assisted living with several levels of care, including Memory Care and a skilled nursing facility. In addition to the many activities and programs, there is an exercise gym with lots of equipment (Wellness Facility) and a plethora of therapy dogs. (Residents can own a cat or dog.) It is located near lots of restaurants and coffee shops. Solheim has received a 5-star rating. However, in my opinion, communication between staff and residents/families could be improved.. "

"The one that I almost chose was Brookdale (Brookdale Central Whittier). It just wasn't geographically as good as the other one. It was clean and friendly. The dining rooms were all wonderful. The grounds were particularly nice. They had a friendly and accommodating staff. "

"I couldn't have found a better place for my Mom. The staff there is wonderful. They took such great care of my Mom until she passed away. I would highly recommend this facility. It is more like a home environment than a care facility. Each resident has a spacious room and you can decorate it how you choose. My Mom enjoyed the ladies at her dining table and the food was good. Every time I visited the home they treated me like family and was truly so beautiful to see such an amazing staff care for someone I love so much. I would recommend this over many retirement homes in the area. I toured most of them and Posada was the best fit I found by a long shot. "

"I liked Oakmont of Whittier a lot. It was just totally out of my price range. The rooms were very spacious with minimal furniture, but it could be made into a comfortable space and dressed up into whatever you wanted it to be. It was good. Their theater room was like a mini theater, and it was beautiful. Nice, spacious, walkways, staircases, and chandeliers; it was extremely nice. It would have cost much more than what’s within my budget. But the personnel were very helpful. They had beautiful dining areas with tablecloths and napkins; it looked more like a restaurant. They had serving areas that the people could kind of see the food being prepared and then served to them. The Alzheimer’s unit was one of the locations that they were going to put my brother in because they had more caregivers there, and I didn’t think that was the best fit for him, but he did need more care. If they have had space for him and the money was right, this is where he would have been. "

"My mother-in-law moved to Walnut Valley Senior Living Community. What I liked the best about this place is their staff and cleanliness. It's a very clean place and the staff is very friendly and right on point about exactly what's going on. They know everything. It's a very well-structured building. I've seen them put out bingo nights, They have other entertainment that goes on on the property. They have a big TV room with the ladies that are always sitting in there talking and there's a library. The activities are overall very good. The value for the money is good."

"Sparr Heights Estates Senior Living was a wonderful place, but I cannot afford it. The one thing that stood out in my mind was that there was so much integrity and respect for the patients. They showed me a single room, and it was like a suite. It had a bathroom, a little sink, and a closet. It was also attached to a courtyard. The staff members were friendly, kind, and very generous with their time. The building was clean. It was on one of the main roads, so that was a little bit concerning, but it was locked."

"My Mother has been at this facility since 2009, and I never worry about her. I know she is being well cared for. The staff is friendly, and she is happy with them. The facility is clean, and they decorate nicely. They take the time to have special guests come to entertain or educate the residents. The large living room with the big screen Tv, and fire place I really like, it makes it a very warm atmosphere. I feel very comfortable, when I am there. The parakeets are a nice touch. Mom always loved parakeets. The grounds outside in the front yard remind me of a place you would find in Santa Barbara, and Santa Barbara is a beautiful area. I would definitely recommend Leisure Vale. Driving up the street to the facility, there is a large Church on the hill that is very Majestic looking, it is part of the park that is down the street, it is breath taking. "
