Ivy Park at San Marino was very beautiful. It's just very limited in their services. That's because they're small, and I knew I would not be happy there because it was such a small community, but that's OK for people who don't want to be around a lot of people. For meals, you could make your choice, and it looked like they had a pretty good menu. They were nice in that way and very accommodating. The chef will make you a special meal. All that sounded great. They didn't have different activity rooms or anything like that. The rooms they had were so small and only so many people could fit in there when they had little games at the table, but they had a reason to have that because they didn't have that many residents. If you only have 65 residents, you don't need a lot of space for games and stuff like that, but it would bore me to no end. The lady who greeted us was very nice. What I was impressed with was when we walked in, they had this type of beautiful picture frame that had words on it, and it had my name in it, saying welcome. I was so impressed with that. It was beautiful. That's a plus. Nobody welcomed me like that. They gave my sister amd me a beautiful gift. It was a bag with some homemade cookies, and they were so good.

Ivy Park at San Marino is the nicest in my father's price range that I've seen, and it's also literally up the block from where he lives and where his brother and sister live. It was incredibly clean and well kept. We actually had lunch. My dad didn't want to stay, so they asked if they could pack him a lunch, and he said yes. They packed up their special of the day. We took it home and ate and it was delicious. I like that the menus have a lot of choices. It seems like the food was very fresh. We looked at a one-bedroom and a studio. The one-bedroom was very large. He even said, "Oh, this is larger than what I expected," which was good. There was a lot of staff around. I wish the grounds were bigger. I wish there was more outside space for him to walk around. That's probably the biggest and only really deficit that I noted during our time there. It was excellent. I would live there if I needed it. I've seen a lot in the past and it was definitely the best kept property. My father is not aware of how disabled he is, and his remark afterward was, "Oh, I could see myself living there," which I thought was great. And then he said, "In a couple of years."

My friend has been in here for like a week now. Everybody is very friendly and helpful. The place is very clean and elegant. So far, it is very good. We love it. My friend's room is like a studio and very spacious. She has no balcony, but I think they have other different room layouts. They have different activities for her. She goes to eat in the dining area.

I liked it a lot. The marketing person was very nice and served us a great meal. It was very nice. I was very impressed. I saw a very nice shared room, but my friend didn’t want a shared room. They were friendly, and I liked it.

It was nice, but there was really no independent-living. It was a welcoming atmosphere and probably the location attracted me most.

It was very lovely and hotel-like. The staff seemed great, but I did not feel that their memory care was active enough. They were more of an assisted living, and my folks needed memory care. The staff that assisted me was very nice. I saw a lot of staff who were very warm and welcoming. We saw some exercise program going on. The dining area was restaurant-style.

We moved my sister here. It is great. The room is very nice and very spacious. The staff is really helpful. I think the food is fine, but I did not eat there. They have activities and are having a trip to a museum and shopping, which is nice.

My mother-in-law is here. The size is smaller, and it is better for her. The staff is great. They have wonderful activities, but my mother-in-law did not partake in them. It is near a few hospitals. It is near a lot of things, but she doesn't go out. It also near our house which is nice. It is wonderful, and everything is terrific.

It is a community located in a fairly busy residential area, and it is a community that is very well-fitted to metropolitan people who do not mind being in an area that feels as though you are still in a city area. It is close and convenient. My wife really liked this community. It was just fairly busy, and there was sort of a metropolitan feel to it. Their outside area seemed a little small for the ability of what they had there. Parking was only underground, so there was not a lot of street parking around the area. When you walk in, they have a lovely area. There was a little small community area. The dining area was quite large. The rooms were nice too. The staff was very friendly, especially the person who was doing the tour. He was very friendly and was calling us back numerous times.
