"Broadway Healthcare has Mandarin-Chinese speakers, which is kind of important for my mom who does not speak English very much. The staff is very helpful. Whenever we have questions, they answer us, and if there is any issue or problem, they will call us promptly. My mom has her food brought to her, and the food is OK. My mom is in a limited diet. For her dietary restrictions, it is good for that. They have 4-person rooms and 2-person rooms, and my mom has a private room to herself with a private bathroom. It is not super fancy. It is kind of a hospital room, but it is clean. It seems kind of safe. "

"My dad is at Live Oak Rehab Center, and I like it. We didn’t have any problems with it, but dad didn’t seem to be adjusting his current situation. The staff is nice, but everybody seems to be in a wheelchair and not doing much all day. "

"After searching around for nursing home for my mother, we chose Fernview. because it is not a huge home and was very clean when I visited. My mother was very ill and staff was wonderful with her. They took very good care of her needs and our family needs. We requested that she have her own room, which I didn't think they would have given to her because it was not a big home but they did. Also whenever we had questions for the doctors or nurses they were there too answer and help immediately. The home was also very clean and well taken care of. They had many activities for the residents. Also our family was able to visit whenever we wanted too, I was even able to stay with her overnight. After my mothers passing they were very comforting with us. I was very pleased with the service we had at Fernview. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nursing home. "

"Alderwood is honestly a great assisted living facility. I've only met one staff member who did not seem to love their job, and even they still did more than what was asked of them. All of them have made an effort to get to know my family, and greet us by name whenever we visit. The amenities are also very good, but I cannot give more information since my grandmother seldom utilizes them due to her inability to walk and lack of desire to socialize. The residents are also very kind, they smile at me every time I go. The best thing about Alderwood is that the staff seems to really care. Everyone there is happy, and I rest well knowing that my very fragile grandmother is in caring hands. It is located in a good, quiet area. San Gabriel is a great city, and is also very close to my city so visiting is very easy. I cannot stress enough how great this assisted living facility is. With all of the stories of abuse and etc, it is very hard to choose a home, especially when my grandma has been known to lie incessantly. We wanted to know that we were putting her in trustworthy hands, and her social worker, constantly makes sure of that. She has told me that he visits her constantly and my family is also close to her social worker. Although assisted living places aren't really the greatest places in the world, I think Alderwood is the lesser evil by far compared to other homes. "

"My mother-in-law is in assisted living now. My uncle is also there and I visited a couple of times. The staff is very helpful. I have friends that have relatives there too. The rooms look small, but adequate. They have lots of activities. I would recommend them."

"My mother spent six weeks in the Mission Care after her hip replacement surgery since April 2021. The nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists and staffs were all loving and caring. Nicole (the nurse) would hold my mom’s hands to encourage her to eat more. The therapists (Charlene) would encourage her during the therapy to walk again. One nurse set up my mom’s iPhone to have the tidal wave sound to help her go to sleep. With all these professional and emotional support, at the fourth week there my mother was able to walk on her own again with a walker. She is 86 years old and had a three hours surgery! Lee, the administration director had gone above and beyond his duties to support us at the most struggling stage when my mom just got admitted to the facility. At the end he also guided us how to get prepared at home when my mom was ready to be discharged. From admittance to discharge, the whole process was pleasant and smooth. My mom’s health had absolutely improved A LOT after spending 6 weeks there. "

"I feel highly fortunate that my mother is a resident at this facility. The quality of staff/resident interaction is exceptional. Residents are always dressed, well groomed, and engaged in interactions with others when not resting. The staffis highly communicative with me, the person responsible for overseeing care. When there is any medical issue, no matter how minor, they call me to inform me of the details and the steps that are being taken to resolve the issue. The staff is always cooperative in answering my detailed questions, and resolving differences when we disagree. The food is of good quality. The facility never smells of urine or diapers. It is clear when I visit that they staff genuinely care about my mother and she is comfortable with them.Each year the court sends an investigator to evaluate the quality of provided care and to be certain that as the conservator I am doing my job. The facility is open and responsive to these visits, never acting as if there is something to hide. "

"Atherton Baptist Home is very caring and very helpful. They have a housekeeper who comes in every Thursday and cleans. Some caregivers take care of me, about different things, if I need care. They put on my stretch socks for me and they collect us for meals and make sure that we have our meals properly. They come into your rooms and sit and talk to you. They communicate well with you. It is so much easier to get around here and do things and they are very helpful in your transportation and so on. The food is very good. It's excellent. They've also done some building projects just recently and they just finished a courtyard and a three-story building with two elevators and it's up-to-date everything in it. About once every month or a month and a half, we're allowed to go to a restaurant with a group (of course we pay for it) and we do various activities. We make birthday cards, new kinds of Christmas cards and other kinds of things. We have a person that does that. She is full-time here. She comes around and talks to us and she's very good. We have a place where we can plant our own seeds and grow our own garden. The atmosphere is very congenial. The social atmosphere here is very good. We have lots of different races here and we all get along."

"My dad was at Monterey Park Convalescent Hospital for a month and a half. The nurses and staff were good, but my dad just wasn't ready for it yet. My dad goes to a lot of activities, and he's very active, so it's not a good fit for him right now. But for people who can't move or do anything, I would recommend this facility. The facility is very clean. My dad likes the food. They were not doing a lot of activities because of COVID. They had a patio in the middle with chairs, sofas, and an umbrella. The rooms were a little outdated but very clean and well kept. They had an activity room and a therapy room."

"My sister and I are very grateful to Arcadia Care Center for providing excellent services as mentioned in your website a "Total Health Care". Our Mom is recently admitted in June 2022 and has been providing IV antibiotic therapy. She is much better than before with less coughing now. It is to our surprise when PT/OP come to offer and demo basic techniques to stretch Mom’s leg, set proper position, how to move and lift safely our Mom on her bed. Thanks a lot for all the efforts from admissions director, Social Services, Activities, Food Services, Community Liaison, and a great team of well-trained health care providers including nurses, and supporting staffs to do your best for maintain a well balance and quality of life. Thanks so much for easy set up to FaceTime/Zoom for seeing our Mom on daily basis during recent lockdown."

"My grandmother was a resident at this facility for about 2 years. After multiple strokes, she needed round-the-clock care and a full-service staff to tend to her needs. The facility was always clean and in order. Seemed to be a very sterile environment, both in the private rooms and out in the high-traffic areas. The cleanliness was never an issue. However, I felt the care was slightly under par in her latter time at the facility. One half of my grandmother's body was completely paralized and she was unable to move freely on her own, needing assistance with every day tasks we take for granted, such as putting on lotion, going to the bathroom, etc. There were days when I would come to visit and her fingers were full of dried blood, small scabs, and dry skin from all the pricking the staff would do to her fingers. There were others times where her bed sheets and diaper needed to be changed and they had neglected to do so. Other times I would come to find her hair dirty and uncombed, or her face dirty. She would get cold very easily and I would find that she was always in need of an extra blanket when I arrived or sometimes her sheets and blankets were not covering her feet and she would just need someone to readjust them for her to keep warm. There were also times when I would visit and her mouth would be extremely dry and her throat would hurt because they had neglected to give her water. My grandmother was taken care of, but not in the way that I would have hoped, and definitely not in the way that I would have done. Had my mother and I had the finances and the space to do so, we would have much rather hired an in-home nurse and had her spend her final days with us, in an environment of love, care, and in a place where she would have been perfectly provided for. "

"Great nurses. Carmen and Whitney are very attentive and nice. The facility itself is small, made my mom feel cozy and at home. Great infection control, I was very pleased with the communication from social worker and case manager Cindy. "

"As you enter this facility you are greeted with a warm hello from friendly staff. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure everyone who enters feels welcome. The facility is small compared to most it is licensed for 50 beds. The rooms are small but cozy. You are welcome to bring your own belongings even a TV and /or radio to make it your own space. Staff is limited to the RN's and caregivers as for another services you may need to aid in your healing or Rehab you will need to have your Doctor arrange for a Physical Therapist or OT to come and see you here. They do not have these professionals on staff. The facility is clean and well maintained. The menu is well planned and there are healthy choices. The patients seem to be happy and well cared for. The staff is attentive and is very warm. I would place my loved on here if needed. "

"I visited a family friend who was residing at GEM for short term care and I have to say the facility is very clean, staff are friendly and it’s a very nice facility. I highly recommend GEM for your long term or short term stay. Residents are active in the activity room and staff are respectful and friendly. "
