My mother spent six weeks in the Mission Care after her hip replacement surgery since April 2021. The nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists and staffs were all loving and caring. Nicole (the nurse) would hold my mom’s hands to encourage her to eat more. The therapists (Charlene) would encourage her during the therapy to walk again. One nurse set up my mom’s iPhone to have the tidal wave sound to help her go to sleep. With all these professional and emotional support, at the fourth week there my mother was able to walk on her own again with a walker. She is 86 years old and had a three hours surgery! Lee, the administration director had gone above and beyond his duties to support us at the most struggling stage when my mom just got admitted to the facility. At the end he also guided us how to get prepared at home when my mom was ready to be discharged. From admittance to discharge, the whole process was pleasant and smooth. My mom’s health had absolutely improved A LOT after spending 6 weeks there.

Both my parents were residents. My mother broke her pelvis when she was 88 years old and the doctor in the hospital told us she may never walk again but at Mission Care with the most AMAZING staff and Rehabilitation Program she did walk again! The place is very clean and comfortable but to me, the most important thing is the level of care and the kindness of the staff and they are without a doubt the best facility I have ever visited. I can rest at night knowing that my loved one is being cared for...

My mother is currently in Mission Care Center for rehab. They're doing pretty well. They're very sensitive, and their facility is very clean. We are able to visit through the window outside, and they've been great during COVID. She had a private room (they have private rooms), but we asked her to move so we can get to a window room, and the window room looks like a hospital room, but there's nobody there because there are not many people currently in the facility. They provide everything a board and care would provide, like activities, TV, exercise, and those kinds of things. They told me that she's doing all that they're asking and twice a day. I call them, but getting them to call me back is hard, so I'm the one who follows up.
unhappy with dc planner

Father went there after hip fracture and partial replacement. Adequate care, appreciate staff efforts in this time of covid-19 but the ball was dropped very badly by dc planner, Billy, esp re ordering a walker and a commode to be delivered to the facility for us to take home with Dad. This was not done and 3 days later still not delivered because he did not provide the vendor the necessary billing information. This puts my father at risk for falls and hip dislocation. Thx, Billy! You need to stay involved to make sure your family member is taken care of at discharge. Sorry I had to downgrade the facility because of poor discharge planning

When my dad first arrived it looked decent and clean but after being there for awhile I started noticing it wasn't as good as it appeared. The CNA were great when needed assistance, the two outstanding ones are Blanca and Nelson, they really care about the residents. The front desk or office people needs to be supervised closely, they listened your concerns but nothing was ever done, you have to constantly follow up with them. The front desk people tend to ignore or avoid assisting residents, I myself have assisted residents when I saw they were in need and no one from the front desk even blinked an eye or thanked me. The food at this place is horrible, you're better off bringing in your own food for your love ones. The place is also understaffed in the evenings especially when my dad needed changing he would have to wait over an hour at times. They don't sanitize the mobile commode or shower chairs after each use. This facility needs definite improvement for the sake of the residents.

The nursing staff is very good and very professional. The director does NOT care about the patients well being and appears to be too busy to help in any situations regarding any complaint processes. Also the office staff seems uninterested in helping families with insurance issues or trying to obtain better coverages. Even the social worker NEVER contacted the family to explain options either. The overall staff is wonderful and helps the patients recover, however, the insensativity of the director and office staff seem to really hurt the overall performance of the facility. The lack of caring in the directors attitude is not only unprofessional but also unacceptable. He should be looked upon by his superiors as he will ruin the place with that attitude.
