"Margaret is my caregiver from Home Instead. I've been using them for five years now and it's been great. I'm in a wheelchair now, but I was in a walker when she started with me. She took care of the food for me, making meals and putting them in the refrigerator so I would have them for the rest of the week. She basically took care of everything I needed done. I haven't had her every day. I've also had another person. She comes two days a week, Tuesday and Thursday, and it is four hours each day. She takes me to my doctors and to my physical therapy. It has been a lifesaver for me."

"Our regular independent caregiver went on a 3 week holiday. Deservedly so , but then we were without help. Our 93 year Mom with Alzheimer’s had just suffered a stroke then bronchitis and just started to scissor her legs not helping us with walking. Caring for her had become a 2 person job. So we are so grateful that we interviewed John. He came with his caregivers to bond with us and he rescued us. Every caregiver he sent during these trying holidays were super sweet and on time. We loved working with them all. John, continue your conscience service. You were the right choice for our caregiving needs. Much success to you and we will continue to work with you on weekends."

"The agency staff and caregivers are wonderful with my mom. We use them on the occasional date day or when we go to events so that we can maintain a healthy balance of rest and avoid caretaker " burn out". It's comforting to know that someone skilled is with her and handling her needs."

"We are using TheKey - Central LA for my grandmother. It's just once a week that they come for about 5 hours. So far, they have helped my grandmother wash her clothes, give her company, and tidy around the house for her. The only issue I'm having is that I haven't received the bill, and it's already the fourth week. I spoke with a gentleman who was the one who did the interview with us, and they're working on it. He's really quick, very straightforward, and keeps me in the loop of what's happening. They are very friendly people. It felt very legit."

"Right at Home comes in a couple of days a week. They fit my needs and they're in the price range that I was looking for. My parents are very happy with the person who comes in. I would prefer billing to be an online thing. It's paper statements, and that's the only issue that I have."

"I've been using Home Instead - Pasadena, CA for over two years now. I was very fortunate that I got their best caregiver in their office because he has been really helpful with my husband. I am the full-time caregiver, but I have a Home Instead caregiver, three times a week, six hours each day, so that's 18 hours a week. He helps me because I am only 4 feet 8 inches and my husband is 6 feet tall. It is very difficult for me to handle him. At the same time, he's still cognizant enough to follow directions, but we need to tell him what to do, like in bathing and dressing. It helps me to have the caregiver when I have to go out for instance because my husband also is a fall risk and he has fallen many times and so it's better to have a bigger person and this person is large and is very gentle. My husband calls him the jolly gentle giant and he's been very helpful. He comes from a caregiving family and so maybe that helps but he kind of knows how things are going. A lot of times if I don't think about doing something, he does, and he really helps me keep my husband safe because of his ways and manners. He's very, very helpful. Someone that I know at my church had used my caregiver for a shorter period of time. He's in high demand. I would like to use him a couple more days if I could, but he is taken up on the other days. People that use him really like him because he knows what he's doing and he's very pleasant. He knows how to talk to people and how to be a good caregiver. It's a real skill and he says he does really enjoy doing his job and it shows in how he treats his clients. Some people have criticized the office the way they do things, but you have to learn the system and it didn't take me long. In the beginning, I didn't know who to contact if I had to change an appointment or something like that, but you learn who to talk to and everyone has been very helpful and always very pleasant. I've been with them two years and I really don't have difficulty because I've learned who to contact and they've helped me with some paperwork. There is a person that's above my caregiver who's in charge of him. There's always somebody that I'm in contact with. If we're going to do something else on a certain day, I know to call ahead of time. I haven't had any problem, so I can't complain. If you're having trouble, you need to tell them."

"Christina is a wonderful caregiver who goes to my mother's home three times per week. She plays games with my mother, engages her in conversation, reads the newspaper with her and also assists her with many needs. I am so impressed with Christina's professionalism, but mostly with her care, compassion, love. My mother absolutely loves her and as she puts it, "Christina is a nicer than nice person!'"

"Visiting Angels has been an amazing support for our family during times when we really needed extra help. From day one, they’ve gone above and beyond, showing just how much they genuinely care about the families they serve. Over the years, they’ve cared for both my dad and now my grandfather, and the experience has been nothing short of incredible. The caregivers aren’t just kind and supportive—they feel like part of the family. It’s such a relief knowing our loved ones are in great hands, whether it’s helping around the house or just being there to provide companionship. Their respite care has been a lifesaver for us. It gave us the chance to catch our breath and focus on spending quality time with our loved ones, without the constant worry about the day-to-day. You can tell their team isn’t just there to do a job—they’re truly committed to helping families through the ups and downs of caregiving with so much heart and professionalism. We’re beyond grateful for everything Visiting Angels Whittier has done for our family. If you’re looking for senior care that’s reliable, compassionate, and genuinely makes a difference, I can’t recommend them enough. They’ve been such a blessing!"
