We used California Homecare Services - Duarte, CA for my father. They would come in, feed him with a feeding tube, and just generally keep an eye on him for anything that he needed during the day, and diaper changes. Half of the caregivers were really good, and the other half looked like they were inexperienced. The first lady that we had kind of set a bar where she would come in and she would clean for us, and she would take him out on walks (put him in a wheelchair and walking around) and do whatever he needed. Other ones would just be there sitting around not doing anything when they weren't required to feed him or change his diaper. They don't seem to be attentive and work interactively with him in conversations. California Homecare was liberal about the scheduling, except we had one person, and they were only expected to be there once a week, and she kept on calling out for various reasons.

California Homecare Service has provided extraordinary care for my 95 year old Father. They have lived up to their name of "homecare" by taking care of all his needs including preparing meals, bathing, getting ready for bed and entertaining him.
