"We have mom with Home Instead in Riverside. I prefer Richard, the new owner. He's been the owner for a couple of months now. He has really helped my mother. She has now memory issues and it's very hard to move through and to live your best life. We've had these caregivers since the beginning, and they're just wonderful gals. Home instead has been there for my mom and I and to us, that's everything. They help with putting on their shoes and socks and bathing. Mom can do her own bathing up to a point. She has a hard time with her feet and her legs, so they help with that. If she has a doctor's appointment, they go with me and help me with the rollator. They help with light housekeeping, cooking, and washing of clothes. They do pretty much a lot. Just the ability to sit down and talk with another individual about their lives and about what was important to them, about anything and everything, just the person to confide in. It's been very hot here in California, so we have to find other ways of walking, like going to the mall, so she gets some exercise. She also likes to see other things than the four walls in the house. She has a park directly across the street from the house that they usually take her when they can."
