My father is at Carolina Inn at Village Green. I rate it very, very good. He seems to be very happy. They have plenty of help for the residents. They have all kinds of activities for the residents. It's really a wonderful place to live. I have tried their food and it was good. The common areas are wonderful. They have music shows, magic shows, and comedians that come in. They have bingo during the week. They always have something special for every holiday. They have a lot of activities. They have wine tasting once a month. He is in a single room. It's big enough for his bed, a dresser, a computer desk, a couple of chairs, his recliner, and another chair. They're very clean. He seems very satisfied with his room. The staff is extremely helpful and extremely nice. They were very good to work with when we were getting my father registered and getting him into the facility. His floor has like eight rooms on it, and they have a nurse assigned just to that floor. There's plenty of staff. Also for assisted living, their food is very good. It's not five-star cuisine, but it's very good. They go around the room every day and personally ask off the menu and fill out the menu for everybody in the complex for the next day. The community is beautiful. It has a beautiful outdoor area, a beautiful covered patio, and open areas. There are two or three small what we call family rooms that have couches where you could go in and visit. They have two or three activities every week now. My father doesn't participate in a lot of them just because it's not his thing. They have the schedules posted in the elevator, and so I see all the things that they're having. It's a little bit more expensive than where he was, but it sure is nicer.

I walked through the Carolina Inn at Village Green. They showed me more of the assisted living, which is not what I'm looking for. The grounds were nice. The people were pretty nice. The rooms were decent. Some of the rooms were shared, but a lot of them were not. The facility was very clean. The staff was nice and knowledgeable. They showed me the grounds and what they do daily as far as activities and things like that. They showed me the library room and game room. They bring most of the residents together, which is what I am looking for.

I liked Carolina Inn at Village Green. The only problem there was the price and they just had one room with a bathroom. For a studio, it wasn't that bad, but it was still small. The upkeep was very nice though. They have a game room, cafeterias/eating areas (on two floors), a recreational park, and vending machines. For their activities, they do arts and crafts, bingo, and trips where they take them out to different places (like a shopping day). They also have a very nice outdoor patio. It's huge and they got plenty of seating areas. They have a walk-around area, if you want to go walking outside, with plants and overhead fans to keep them cool in there. It was very, very peaceful.

I visited Carolina Inn at Village Green Fayetteville. It looked nice, it was nice. They were helpful there, they were informative, they showed us the entire place. They had single rooms, double rooms, little, not a kitchen per se, a little refrigerator. It could be furnished, or not furnished, you could bring your own furniture. It was very clean. They had organized activities, they had outside space where you could garden. They had a nice dining room, three meals a day, you could eat in the dining room, or your room. While I was visiting, they were playing bingo.

The staff at Carolina Inn at Village Green was very knowledgeable, very friendly, caring, and amazing. The food was amazing. I got to talk to the chef. Although it's an older building, it's still well maintained. The only thing I didn't like about it was it was multiple stories and just more compact. The rooms were nicely done. I saw varying sizes and it depends on the budget. Some were quite large and others were more studio-like. The patio spaces were amazing.

Carolina Inn at Village Green is nice; it's just a bit on the pricey side. That's why we didn't pick it because it was very expensive. It's beautiful. It's in a large estate, and the facility is gorgeous and well-kept. The staff seemed nice enough. The facility was clean, and the upkeep was gorgeous.

My husband has been in Carolina Inn for more than a month now. They are not allowed to go out because of the Covid, so he gets depressed there. It's not only him, but other residents as well. They have activities, but because of his limitation, he could hardly join them. He also complained about the food, and this morning when I called him, he said, "Oh my God! My food is just oatmeal and it's cold." Also, when I talked to the staff on the phone, I tried to be in a hurry because I know they won't stay with you for so long. I was like, "When I was looking for a place, you're so good entertaining me, but now" It's not all of them though; sometimes, it's the nature of the person. I have not been inside. I only stay outside when I see my husband in a visiting room. They're clean because they practice the protocol. There was a company that was supposed to give him regular speech and occupational therapy, but it did not happen. I was told because of the Covid, they don't allow people outside to do that. They were saying that they're going to arrange an in-house company to do that for him, but I have no idea if they have done that because it was only last week when I called them about it. It's also really expensive, which is really a problem.

The caregivers are excellent and caring. They treat your family member(s) like family. My Mother in law resided there recently until her passing and I was so impressed how the staff treated my family. They went well beyond the call of duty to make sure that we were taken care of. My Mother in law had been in multiple residences and they did not compare to the comfort and dedication presented by the staffing at the Carolina Inn. The facility is well kept. The food is excellent. I cannot comment on the activities because we did not participate in them. I feel that the value is very competitive. I cannot recommend this place enough. Trust me, you will pleased.

I've rated Carolina Inn at two stars simply because the facility looks nice enough for me to have wanted to place my dad there. Unfortunately, this facility turned down my dad after having accepted him a few weeks prior. I even turned down another facility while holding out for the room I was told my father would be placed in. When I called Carolina Inn to get an update, they'd changed their minds. Also, I thought my last conversation with the representative was private, however a male nurse was listening in and I wasn't told that. He'd chimed in and made comments supporting their decision. They had weeks to call me and tell me that they no longer accepted my dad but instead didn't return my calls or emails. Leaving my dad in a rehabilitation facility, where he was being well-treated after his stroke, while waiting for him to be placed at Carolina Inn was a waste of time. If your loved one is capable and doesn't mar Carolina Inn's 5-star Boutique atmosphere, maybe they will accept them. I am thankful for the grace that was given to me from the facility I'd turned down, as I desperately needed them and they didn't let me down like Carolina Inn did. They at Village Green/Carolina Inn are dishonest and uncaring, in my opinion. The emotional pain they caused me was just another heavy blow to all the emotional pain I was already experiencing while taking care of my dad's situation.

My mom has been living at Carolina Inn at Village Green and it's been very good. I would highly recommend it. One thing that we truly like about is that there are RNs there versus LPNs and nursing assistants, and for the type of care that my mother-in-law requires, that has been truly beneficial. The in-house physical therapy that she's been required to have has been awesome. The staff is very well-trained. The food is excellent. Anytime we go in there, the place is always clean, and nothing is ever left out. The clothes are washed on the floor where the patients live, and it's truly a different experience from any other place that I have visited. They offer art and painting, bingo, lectures, needle crafting, yoga, and other chair exercises. My mother-in-law is right beside the activity room, so it's very convenient. They offer three full meals and they have a bistro where you can go anytime you want. The staff is very knowledgeable. I asked a staff member about my mother-in-law just to see if she knew who she was, and she did. She knew exactly what was wrong with her and how far along she has progressed in her care off the top of her head. That was pretty amazing.

My dad came here a couple of months ago after suffering a brain injury. The staff is very friendly, know me by name when I walk in the door. The nurses are very caring about the residents. The facility is extremely clean---my dad is on the 3rd floor, and it's like living in a "boutique" hotel. Although he technically has a "small room," it is very large and roomy--they even allowed me to bring in a full-size bed for him to sleep on. The residents can bring furniture from home. They furnish a tall dorm fridge in each room--they even provide them with water and sodas for the fridge! They have an excellent chef with a variety of food daily. And the activities----if a resident is bored, it is NOT from lack of activities!! They take them out to eat twice a month, if the resident chooses to go. Thursday is shopping day---Walmart, Belk, Hamricks, or wherever the residents vote to go! Every evening on the 3rd floor, they have wine & cheese at 4pm before dinner. Every Friday afternoon is Happy Hour--they have a DJ, hor d'oeuvres....go all out with the decorating with their theme, etc. Families are invited to come participate in all events. They have a nail salon and spa, and hair salon. They have laundry facilities on each floor--you can pay to have them do your family member's laundry, or you can do it there, and not have to drag it home and back. It's a wonderful place for someone who can't be home alone.

I had a difficult time making a decision to even place my mother in such a facility. I had made a promise, long ago that I would always care for her. When I was caring for her physical needs it truly was easy for me. When she developed dementia that got progressively worse, I found myself becoming angry, tired, and my health became an issue. I started to see a counselor so that I could get to a place where I didn't feel guilty because I could no longer help her. I did speak with Mr. Lucente and he suggested some places for me to visit. The problem was they were too far from the house. I found a very nice place across from my home so that meant I could be close to my mother. The staff is wonderful and caring. The facility is clean, and attractive. The activities director is always creative and plans monthly family get togethers around certain themes and I find many of the residents family members participate. I never thought my mother would adjust in the beginning, but after 2 months, she began calling the place home. I bring her home about every weekend and by Sunday she is asking to go home. She has made friends and is doing well. Best of all I don't feel guilty.

My father has been here for a few months now. At a time when the choices and needs can be overwhelming, I am sure glad we chose Carolina Inn. We were looking for a place that could provide the level of care he needs but also the social environment he wants. He did not want to be confined to a bed in a nursing home which seemed to be the only other choice. They have a graded price/care scale based on needs. I did not find this anywhere else. It was either minimal care or bed ridden nursing home. Nothing in between. I eat there at least once a week and the food has been good. There is cafeteria style and also a bistro with specialty items as well. Even a happy hour with wine, beer, cheeses. His room is clean and his care has been great. He has limited mobility and needs help with most things. Any questions or concerns I have had during this process, they have always been one step ahead of me. We live a few hours away and it is comforting to know is well taken care of. I just feel the need to share my experience as I know this is a difficult decision that most of us will face and this is what worked for us. We were pretty much sold on this facility after our first tour.

We ended up choosing Carolina Inn at Village Green because a friend's mother was there and because of the very friendly staff. It looked like they really care for the people, and they wanted to be there. It is an excellent facility. It had more of a feel of a hotel than it did of your standard place. I've had several meals with my parents there, and they were very good. Their dining facility felt more like a restaurant. They have bingo, chair aerobics, shopping trips, pet therapy, trips to a movie theater, and special events for Easter and Mother's Day. They also have music and cocktail hour on Friday nights.

It was very clean and bright. I felt like the staff really took the time to get to know my grandmother and my family. They often called us by name and could remember details about our lives. We felt very comforted each time we visited her and we knew that she was safe and happy there. I have been in other facilities that were not nearly as nice or as clean. We did a lot of research on the best place for my grandmother. They offered a lot of services like in-house beauty salon, sitting rooms, shuttle services to other doctors appointments my grandmother had (to alleviate the strain on my family). It was a blessing.

Village Green is a moderate sized adult assisted living facility in the Fayetteville, North Carolina area. The price wasn't outrageous, and definitely it is what I would consider fare in comparison to some of our other options. While, I don't feel this is the worst assisted living facility on the planet it definitely could have used major renovations. The smell of the place was putrid, and that of rotting food. The heat in the summer months was barely tolerable. My relative constantly had bed sores, and complained of mistreatment from a few of the assistants. These could not be substantiated, but I'm sure while they may be exaggerated, they were based on certain truths. While these aren't glowing remarks, there were definitely a few positives. The activities laid out for the people staying at the facility we're broad and entertaining for what they were. The food was also not as bad as it could have been, we we're pleasantly surprised. Overall, I would give it a two star rating and that's being very generous.

When my family talked to my Grandmother about the service in this facility, she just kept boasting about how great it is to live there. She wants to recommend it it to others that need assisted living as well. My Grandmother is checked on multiple times a day to make sure shes ok, the staff even knows her by name and get to know her on a personal level to keep her comapany shes exclaims! The Carolina Inn sounds like a great place to be also because of the location. it is a safe enviroment with almost no hassle of stairs and if there is a mobility hassle, their staff will be there right away to help. I feel better with my Grandmother in good hands.
