"Johnson Better Care wasn't that great because when I walked into the door, it had a smell to it. That turned me off immediately. The staff also didn't show me around. They just asked me questions and they could've been more considerate with someone looking for a place like that. The supervisor should've been more involved in answering my questions and not leave me up to an aide or at the reception. I felt like she should've come out of her office. I didn't receive the hospitality I was looking for. Also, they didn't have enough people on staff to take care of what they needed to take care of. I didn't see many RNs or anything like that. They need more staff for a place of that size. When we walked to the door there were people in wheelchairs smirking and I didn't think that was good. We saw a resident drop a cigarette on her lap and she began to holler as if she was getting burned. We tried to help her get the cigarette out. There was no one that was on hand that could get to her. Also, I don't think they need to allow residents to smoke in the premises especially because they're elderly people. I think it's dangerous to allow them to do that. The residents just sit there. They need activities. "

"Mc Lamb's is family owned and is a nice little rest home. It's not a very modern place but it's clean and comfortable. The people that worked there stayed in touch with us about anything, any questions or comments they had or any details they needed to share with us about mom. We could always count on them to look after her and assist her. Majority of the residents there are able to get around and fix their rooms. We placed mom's stuff in her room so she felt at home. She had people around her all the time. "

"My dad-in-law is in Four Oaks Senior Living (Oakview Commons). They are very good to their residents and treat them all with dignity and respect. You can have a private room or a semi-private room that are very clean and very well maintained. The grounds are maintained very well, too. Residents have different activities to do on different days. I would recommend this community to others."

"This place is a great place for many reasons for assisted living care. It is an older facility but I'd kept very clean. They take patients for their Dr. Appointment. Also doctor visits on site at certain times. My friend says food is very good and there are between meals snacks. They do their laundry and staff are excellent to work with. The cost is very reasonable for those who can't afford an expensive place. "

"They have well lit and ventilated rooms which are cleaned regularly. The working staffs are polite to all our requests. As the rooms are cheap with all basic amenities, it's a real steal!"

The Eastover Gardens facility was originally opened in the ’50s as a motor court hotel servicing HWY 301, then the main north-south thoroughfare from Florida to Maine. "My mom is going to stay in Fayetteville Manor. It is a great place. They have all kinds of activities that they do with the residents -- church, singing, exercising, arts and crafts, gardening, and more. Absolutely, I would recommend it. It is only for Alzheimer's and dementia patients; they only have Alzheimer's patients there. "

"I went to visit a loved one. The Staff was very personable and friendly. They were good with my grandfather and helped him accomplish his daily activities and responsibilities. It was a very clean facility and the where also very sanitary and medically most of the staff followed medical procedures to prevent the spread of infection and contamination. There were a few issues that i felt some of the CNA or personal care workers did not follow like for example, hand washing which was and is very important. This is very concerning especially being in a hospital or assisted living facility. In other words, hand washing is very important because these people are old or their immunity is down so wash your hands! Other than that the staff was great and didn't have any other issues. My grandfather loved it and was there for approximately 4 months but passed away but did enjoy his time there! "
