Johnson Better Care wasn't that great because when I walked into the door, it had a smell to it. That turned me off immediately. The staff also didn't show me around. They just asked me questions and they could've been more considerate with someone looking for a place like that. The supervisor should've been more involved in answering my questions and not leave me up to an aide or at the reception. I felt like she should've come out of her office. I didn't receive the hospitality I was looking for. Also, they didn't have enough people on staff to take care of what they needed to take care of. I didn't see many RNs or anything like that. They need more staff for a place of that size. When we walked to the door there were people in wheelchairs smirking and I didn't think that was good. We saw a resident drop a cigarette on her lap and she began to holler as if she was getting burned. We tried to help her get the cigarette out. There was no one that was on hand that could get to her. Also, I don't think they need to allow residents to smoke in the premises especially because they're elderly people. I think it's dangerous to allow them to do that. The residents just sit there. They need activities.
