I’m using HomeCare.com. It’s fine. They’re very good and very responsive to any concerns I have, and they’ve provided me with a good health care aide, not great necessarily, but good. They also provide light housekeeping, they help me clean myself up, and they take me to my appointment. They get here within a certain time window between 7 and 7:30, and that’s when I need them here. A lot of times my communication is directly with the aides. If she can’t come on a certain day, the agency would contact me to see whether I need some assistance or need somebody to fill me in on a given day. I think I’m paying more than I probably should because they have a mandatory number of days that I can contract for, and that’s probably more than I usually need. To maintain the contract, I have to keep them on a certain number of days.

Before my mother-in-law passed away, we had in-home care for her from Home Care Helpers. We used them for less than a week. They were there for a few days before she went back to the hospital. They were trying to get her rehabilitated so that she would be able to be home and stay home and get better more so than what she was getting in the nursing home. They tried to help her gain her strength. They tried to help her with main functions of getting dressed, taking a bath, and preparing a couple of meals a day. She was comfortable with them and her husband as well. Her husband was just very pleased with the attention that they gave her. We’re very pleased with them too. They were there when we needed them. They were very cooperative and very caring. They provided fast and very personalized service.

This agency and the workers are a Godsend! The care has been phenomenal! There is nothing that I need; that they do not provide. Compassionate and always ready to assist! I couldn’t imagine myself anywhere else. I’ve had other home care agencies in the past; where the staff was late, stole, and just didn’t care about us. Healing hearts is punctual, knowledgeable, and always gets back to me quickly when I have questions. 5 stars!

Highsmith Home Health Care just started in business about three years ago and is one of the fastest growing home care agencies in the area. They have been caring for my mom for the past year and a half and have gone up and beyond the call of duty. By visiting my mom when she was in the hospital, caring for my moms hair, purchasing health care supplies out of their own pocket and by working with family members changing work schedules to provide the best care for my mom. Highsmith Home Health care has truly been a blessing for my mom and the family.

present customer at Independence Village in Raleigh…, Dissatisfied with the service. My elderly family member reports the aids don’t show up. The HomeChoice Healthcare contact reports my family member declines the services at times. The service log in the family member’s apartment shows inconsistency in the aids documenting their visits. This leads me to side with my family member. If it isn’t documented, it wasn’t done. Keep an eye out on those logs and make sure you are getting what you are paying for. I don’t feel like we are. That’s getting ready to change.
