Terrible care, even if family members are there to oversee. They do no physical therapy and it takes them over an hour to get to the patient, if you’re lucky! Very old, deteriorating facility. Honestly the maintenance gentleman is more helpful than the care staff! If you value your loved ones, avoid this facility.

Communication with Silver Hills is difficult. It is hard to get connected to a living staff person. It seems like all calls get transferred to voicemail and then the calls are not returned. The biggest issue is that when someone calls with updates on medical conditions the nurses don't bother to read the patient chart before making the call. So they offer incorrect information and then argue with you. There is new leadership in place, but I wouldn't recommend this facility. The problems run deep.

Specifically SilverHills Physical Rehabilitation Center is where no one will help. Nurses scatter and take no heed to my needs. CNA’s try to get to everyone, but let me know how hard it is for them. I’m just fed up and am in no position to move home until the end of July. I’m pretty afraid of how my pain will be dealt with. I’m non weight baring, due to my fractured pelvis. Look into all Medical fields and you will find the lack of people entering this field. COVID was detrimental to our health care providers. Scarce as hen’s teeth, as my mom would have told. Be aware and go into why this is a very different world. The room is plain. The shades are over 20 years old. The smell tells the age of all surroundings.

This facility provides the bare minimum in care for patients. There was a roach in my mother's room. I was told they spray but they can't keep them all out. Her food was served cold with no utensils on a regular basis. My mother was afraid to ask for a bandage for her cut finger. The beds have no rails, instead they place a half inch blue mat on the floor in the event of a fall. They do not have a Covid protocol in place for incoming patients. They place them in a room together, and when the person's 10 day "quarantine" is up, they move them to another wing and move another person in. My mother was in this transition for 7 days. She was then moved to a room that shared a restroom with another patient, the rooms were separated by a half wall. The roommate had her son spend all day in her room, sleeping in the recliner and using the patient restroom. The staff was made aware of this issue and did nothing to stop him from using the patient only restroom. They claimed my mother had a UTI and put her on an antibiotic that is known to cause diarrhea, even before her culture came back. Why they would prescribe this type of antibiotic when the person is basically non mobile is beyond me. For lunch one day they served her a leftover chili dog from a BBQ they had for the nurses, knowing she had diarrhea. She did not eat lunch that day, luckily I had brought some apple sauce and carrots for her to snack on. I ended up pulling her out of there against medical advice. I can care for her better at home than that place could.

This is a terrible place. The staff provide bare minimum care. The beds are small and broken. My husband was too weak to get out of bed but his bed had no hand rails or bed alarm. Bed was missing a wheel on the front so sat lopsided. He is 6' tall & his feet hing over the edge of the bed. The food was served cold and was unappetizing.. The facility was not clean. Decor was minimal and depressing.

Avoid Silver Hills Facility at all costs because they care more about collecting profits than their patients. Silver Hills does the bare minimum for treatment and rehabilitation because there is no urgency to see the patient's progress and leave, because that would mean revenue walks out their door. This is a fact because my loved one was there for over a month and saw little to no progression on his health. As a family we had to fight, scratch and claw to get information about his care and progression from his case worker or even Doctor Steele. When you get little to no communication from any facility like this, it's an automatic red flag that something isn't right. When we finally found out that my loved one was staying in their diaper for long periods of time in the night and when we started to read the reviews it took us down the path to get my love one transferred to another facility in a different state. Even this exchange and process was so difficult because they wouldn't work efficiently or communicate timely with the VA or the other facility. This slowed the process down and made it even more frustrating. Even the last hour before my loved one got a medical transportation and bed approval at the other facility, Doctor Steele had the nerve to call and tell us he wasn't discharging our loved one because it was against his medical advice. He didn't say what his medical advice was though, interesting don't you think? Anyway his medical advice holds no weight because you have the right to discharge your loved one at any time if you feel they aren't receiving the right care or there is a better option for them. I would highly question Doctor Steele medical advice in the first place because I believe as the Head Doctor of this facility he would put profit over people. Now on the flip slide my loved one who finally got transferred to another facility out of state has only been there for one week and the facility are telling us that he could be medically discharge by the 10th of December. This is because with the right care, the right communication, the right reason to operate a facility like this should be about patient care and patient recovery more that it should be about profits.

My father is in rehab at Silver Hills Health Care Center. I have been over there to take his things to him, and so far, everything has been really nice. The experience has been good. Everybody has been really pretty nice. I haven't had a bad experience at all with anybody. My father said that the food is very good. From the outside, it looks very nice. All the landscaping is very nice and clean, and from what I can see from the inside lobby, it's very updated and very nice.

The service here is horrible. I can never reach anyone on my first attempt on the weekends. It takes me hours to find out how my relative is doing for the day. When I complain about the service they tell me they are busy during the times I call. I start calling at 3pm on Saturday and I call back to back and it goes to voice mail. That's just one of my many complaints. I would not recommend this place to anyone in fact I'm also going to file a complaint with the State.

This place is nasty. There Was dried blood on the walls. Just a dirty place. Doctors are worthless. The rehab therapist are good, but overall the place is a dump.

I was at Silver Hills for eight days, and the staff was very nice. My place had two rooms with a divider wall and a shared bathroom. The food was OK, and the activities were very nice.

We went to Silver Hills for my mother. I like it somewhat better than the other facility. The rooms were a little bit better. They were a little larger and a little more private. They weren't private, but you have a little bit more of your own space. The staff seemed very friendly. They seemed more engaged with the patients, so that was good. The dining area was good. As for the menu, they didn't have a whole lot of variety, but at least they did have some specialty diets. I thought the sanitation was fine.

Silver Hills was close to the hospital where mom was at. When we went to see it, the people were really nice. The main part is where people are there for the same reason she was there to receive therapy. The food wasn't any good but she was happy with the therapy and that's why she was there. The nursing staff was nice. They kept the rooms really clean.

The food here is pathetic. Several attempts were made to try to get food that was edible. The food service mngt will lead you to believe the food is good and that she eats here. It is a big lie and a falsity. Once you are admitted here it is too late. Sample any meal here if you doubt trois review.

When my father was discharged from a hospital after having surgery, Silver Hills Healthcare Center was the only place that he can go to. It was the rehab center that was recommended by his primary physician. He is comfortable in this facility. I like it because of the staff, they're on top of everything.
