My Father-in-law lives here. As prices go these days, the price here is reasonable. The food is very good, and I have no problem with it, I do sometimes think it is excellent. I just hold back on saying it is always excellent, but it is always healthy. The facilities are very good and well taken care of, but this is a small place (about 100 residents) so they are not as extensive. Where they excel, which is THE most important thing, is with the staff. They care so well for their residents. We ALWAYS know that Dad is in the best of hands. Thank You Dawn and your wonderful staff.

I went and saw Grand Montecito and it was beautiful. It was wonderful. It was great. I would highly recommend it. That's exactly where I would've placed my mom. There's a little beauty parlor for my mom to go get her nails and her hair done. They make everyone come out to have dinner, lunch, and breakfast. There's no eating in your room, so they have everyone socialize, which is very nice. They insist that they come out and I like that. I got to interact with one little lady when we were touring because it was dinnertime, and I keep thinking about that little lady. I'd love to go back to visit. I'd love to go volunteer there. It was just a really neat place. They use the Montessori method and this new program called the SPARK Program. I was very impressed. They don't just let the residents sit there and vegetate. They actually try and motivate them and get them to engage and get them back interested in what they used to be interested in to just kind of spark their memory. Everyone was wonderful. It was all new. I was able to take pictures, which was very nice. All the seniors were out in the dining hall and they were all being interacted with.

I went to Grand Montecito Memory Care. They have sensors so they know if somebody like wets the bed or somebody leaves their rooms, they were able to kind of track patients well. I like that feature. They provide all the furniture and the furnishings, which I like. The staff seemed very nice. The guy that gave the tour was very nice. They appeared to be taking care of the patients well. They seemed to be very gentle and caring when they were attending to the patients. The rooms were nice. The semi-private ones were very private, and they were spacious and very clean. They provided the nice furnishings. I have a whole calendar of activities. All of them have stretching exercises and physical exercises, and they were doing that while we were there. It looked like they had the regular kind of activities. They had games and things like that would engage patients. They had a van, and they were taking people out on outings. All they had was memory care, and I liked that it was just smaller units so that there was a little more attention. The staff seemed very nice. The facilities were beautiful.

Mother has moved in less than a month ago. We really like it. She is getting good care. They're brand new and she is one of the first six people, but more have moved in since then. The care has been phenomenal. Although that's not where she wants to spend the rest of her life, she does like it. It is a beautiful place and it is all brand new. They treat her well, and that's the most important thing for my brother and I. She is not complaining about the food. They have activities just about every hour of the day. There is something for everybody. Their amenities are nice and the residents are safe and comfortable. They have a courtyard, too.

We have moved my father-in-law in. The overall experience with the community was wonderful. They were fantastic to work with and they were terrific people, but unfortunately he passed away recently. Nevertheless, everybody was fantastic, and everything was beautiful. It was a great community. Everything was great including the facilities and the staff. The environment was wonderful. It was absolutely friendly, accommodating, and caring.
