We considered the Chateau Ann Marie for our aunt which we were attracted to, given that it is an all-female facility. We thought perhaps she would be more comfortable in this type of environment, given the loss of our uncle a few years ago. The staff seemed compassionate and caring. We could see how residents enjoyed this alternative senior living environment. Everyone that we saw seemed to be well taken care of. The rooms were all decorated nicely, and seemed to be personalized. The communal areas were clean and adequate. The food and menu was nice, however, we did not see anything particularly outstanding about it. Some of the facilities we have been visiting are offering fine dining restaurant food -- so we might be a little spoiled. Still, the food and snacks all looked nutritious. The activities offered seemed a bit limited compared to other places, however, the residents did not appear to be sad or bored. Of the many facilities we visited in the area, this was one of the more affordable. It would be adequate for anyone needing care, but we did not see anything particularly striking about it.
