"My mom has been in Memory Care at Kingsland Walk for over three years. The facility is well maintained and clean. We are thrilled with the Executive Director, who is organized. professional and easy talk with. She is good with employees and always smiling. The staff is wonderful ..from Maintenance to Housekeeping, Medicine and Caregiving. We adore the MC Director, Tanika, and all the Care, devotion and long hours she puts in caring for my mom and all the residents. She and her staff are the best we have had in all our tenure here and we feel extremely blessed that mom is safe, clean and cared for in every way. These wonderful people are like family to us."

"I toured Friendship Village Chesterfield. I love the property. It's absolutely beautiful. It's right next to Faust Park, and the Butterfly House is right there, and that's a wonderful attraction. The people that work there are amazing. Absolutely amazing. They're the kindest group. I've worked with a lot of people in real estate when I was in real estate, and I've also worked in other areas, and these people just exceed anybody I've met in a business relationship, so I'm really impressed. They're so kind, and they act like your family. And the facilities are so beautiful. I'm getting one of the smallest rooms. It's not a studio. It's a step up from there. What I like about them, when anybody moves out, they go in and gut that unit down to the studs, and everything is new, and then you have new appliances as well. The staff member who toured me was wonderful."

"My cousin is at Tower Grove Manor. For what it is, it is a reasonable cost. He just feels like that's where he needs to be all the time, as long as he's physically able. Economically, that's the best thing for him right now. He has a bathroom and a kitchen. He's happy and satisfied with all the workers and the staff there. He has air-conditioning/heating, freezer/refrigerator, microwave, stove, kitchen cabinets, a kitchen, and a sink. He's got public transportation and they have an elevator in there. He can go outside on a patio. He's real happy with the food. The staff has been pleasant to me and they have maintenance there that's been really good to help my cousin."

"I liked everything about The Lumiere of Chesterfield. They had a private chef who worked with the people who lived there to get on the menu what they preferred to eat according to their diet. A lot of these people are diabetics and when they go to another facility, they don't care what they eat, they just put garbage on the menu. This private chef makes a world of difference. They have high ceilings and big, spacious rooms. It's much more spacious than a lot of the facilities I've seen. It makes it feel much more luxurious and much more like home."

"I toured Garden Place Columbia with my dad. It's much larger. It was absolutely beautiful. The rooms were fabulous. The person who gave me the tour was wonderful. She was great. Their dining area looks ideal. It's perfect. They have rooms for activities and then they have a list posted of what the activities are going to be for the next month. I was very impressed with that. The facility was beautiful. It looks new and well maintained."

"We checked out Lake St Charles Retirement Community and looked at their independent living. The physical appearance is beautiful. It has very good qualities, it is extremely clean, and the people there are very nice. The service that I received when we first walked in was very polite and very professional. The gentleman walked us around the place explaining everything and all the amenities. I was very pleased with everything. We didn't try their food but the menu looked very good. I think they also have an ice cream shop. Everything is homemade like the cakes, pies, and cookies for the residents. They have soups, salads, and desserts. Nothing is brought in so it's very good. They have a nice recreation center for the people. They also have a lot of military people there so it's very nice. When the staff walked us around, he told me about the amenities they had for the military people and my uncle is a retired veteran so that's good. He talked about all the games that they have and different things so there were a lot of activities if they want to participate there. Everybody was extremely nice. There wasn't a single rude person. Even the people that you walked by, like the patients, were all very nice. They all said hi and talked to each other. I have to say that it's a very nice place. You get a good feeling when you walk in."

"Harvester Residential Care is close to where the family can all come and see my mom. It is also close to her home, so she can go home if she wants to. The second reason we chose it is because of money; it's pretty reasonable. I think Harvester Residential Care is a good place for my mom. They have a good reputation. All the residents seem happy, and every one of the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. Today is her second day; however, my first impressions are very good. They have bowling, they take them shopping, they see movies, and they play cards. It really seems like they're trying to keep their people entertained and active. I met the activities director, and she was very energetic. Mom is sharing a room with another lady. The only thing I don't like about it is that there is no bathroom in the room. The bathroom is across the hall."

"I toured The Boulevard of St Peters. The executive manager was awesome. He was so nice, caring, talkative, and guiding us in the right direction. The unit they showed me was two rooms. It's got a walk-in bath and a little kitchenette. The staff was beyond great. The place was brand new and perfect. They had a walking area, which was nice, too."

"I've chosen here for my mom, and she has moved in there. It's been great. It's very clean. The people there are very nice, and they seemed to actually care about the residents there. I feel comfortable with my mother being there. They keep them occupied to a great deal. I appreciate that as far as just sitting in her room, they've got stuff for her to do every day."

"I visited The Villa at Riverwood. It was very nice and very close to my house. The staff was good. I ate there and thought the food was good. They have activities and an exercise room. The rooms were very nice. During the time I visited, they had brought in a lady to demonstrate how to make a recipe, which I thought was nice. They had many sitting rooms for entertaining friends. The atmosphere in the dining room and facility was good. "

"Garden Place Senior Living Millstadt looked older and so much more like a nursing home than the other places I've been to. They didn't seem to have as many activities as the other places we've seen. What they had was music, some entertainment, bingo, and movies. I also didn't think they had quite enough staff. Other than that, it's a very clean place. The dining room was very pleasant looking. It was a large room and it was open on both ends to the common rooms in the lobby and then the kitchen on another side. It had a lot of windows."

"The facility is immaculate and well maintained. The staff is very courteous and attentive to personalize needs. My mother has lived there for over a decade and she loves it there. We value the communication between the management and staff. I would recommend this facility as a crown jewel of Monroe County."

"I toured The Boulevard at Wentzville, and I loved it. They were very nice, and they have a very nice facility. I checked out one room, and the place was closer to my home at the time. The facility was gorgeous, and everybody seemed to be really nice. They have great activities, and they have a pool that I could do some exercises in. The person that helped me there, her name was Katie, was very nice. They have meals three times a day, and it's just like a restaurant. You just go down and order what you want, and they have someone bring it to your table. That's very nice, and the rooms seem really nice. The one I was looking at was the studio, but someone else beat me to it."

"Revela at O'Fallon was brand new. It's beautiful. It's very impressive. It's huge. They have a bigger memory care wing, and so we went into that. Everything was great. It's just expensive. It's private pay, so once mom's money runs out, then she has to leave. The room was beautiful, clean, and new. The staff was very nice, and very gracious, took me around, and spent like 45 minutes with me. They have a pastry chef, so it's pretty amazing. They had a lot of people out doing things. Even within the memory care, they were participating in something. Either they were playing a game or they were doing some kind of activity. There's a courtyard, but it's all secure, and they're checking on them once an hour. It's not like they can leave without somebody knowing it, but you have the freedom to kind of move around and go to different areas."
