I very much like what Holiday Orchid Terrace has to offer in terms of the layout of the apartment, and the fact that they are pet friendly. I could take my puppy with me. We talked about the food service, the activities, and their philosophy and mission statement, and I liked it very much. And the people there were very helpful in answering questions and giving me the information that I needed to have. The apartments are adequate in size. I would probably have to downsize a little bit to fit my things into a one-bedroom, but that would be okay. It is adequate. The maintenance staff has been there 18 years since the place opened, which I thought was amazing. And he told me that the general manager has been there since the place opened as well. So that says a lot about the atmosphere, what it's like and job satisfaction and so on. I was amazed by that. The staff showed me a menu for the week and the schedule of activities for the month. The dining area was clean and inviting. The color scheme and the layout were very pleasant. With regard to the staff who gave the tour, it was amazing how quickly she has learned her job. She's only been there a short period, but she was very gracious, and she knew the answer to every question that my son and I asked her. She invited the general manager to come in to meet us, and they were very cordial, answering our questions and giving us the information that we needed to know. The building was very clean and very comfortable looking. They have common areas, a library, different meeting rooms, and activity rooms. They have gatherings for games and lectures, too.

We moved my mom there 11/12/23 What do they feed their people ? There have been days when there are no cooks available. What’s going on? You have housekeeping staff cooking food. Do better. I have been there and witnessed that there are no cooks available. I have tried every other available option to contact people there no response. I’ve tried to eat their food. Are you joking the meals that I have seen are disgusting

I like Holiday Orchid Terrace a lot. The facility was sparkling when you walked in. It was so nice and neat. It looked like a ballroom because of the arrangement. The staff was marvelous. She was a nice lady. The rooms were bigger and nicer. It has more common ground. I have a dog, and I could let him out for walks. The people that were staying there were very friendly. It was just a very impressive place. The food smells good.

My aunt has moved into Holiday Orchid Terrace. I like the fact that she is close to the activities and food. Since she's had a stroke, it's beneficial that she was close to those things. I also like the fact that she has access to the outside of the apartment through her own independent area. The community is nice and well kept. They have physical exercise classes, game classes, and things that she could participate in. The staff is friendly and helpful. They offer a variety of food, so she has choices, and I like that. The dining set-up is very nice, and they wait on the individuals.

My mother moved into Holiday Orchid Terrace. It is a great place. The staff has been great, and they are very caring. My mom has a 1-bedroom apartment with a bathroom connected to her bedroom and a kitchenette. It's a brand new carpet and everything in it is new. They have an activity room, and they do bingo. They have access to food, fruits, and everything at the counter at the bar. They have 3 meals a day. They take care of the linen and everything.

Holiday Orchid Terrace seemed to be family-oriented and everyone seemed to know everyone. The workers were very friendly and they knew a lot of people's names. The residents that I saw while touring around were milling about and communicating with each other. The facility looked very clean. They had a big dining room and an exercise room. The rooms that I looked at seemed very clean and very nice. They had some rooms that had outdoor access with little patios, so my mom could sit outside her room and watch the birds. Each room had a refrigerator and a half kitchen.

We have been in Holiday Orchid Terrace for a few months now. We like the grounds. There's a lot of grass and places to walk. It's nice. I like the layout because it's a very open entry, dining room, balcony, and pool. That's all open, and that's what I like. Excellent apartment. We have a two bedroom with a nice deck, 2 bathrooms, it's beautiful. The staff is excellent. I have no complaints. Very friendly, very helpful. We don't go to a lot of the activities. They have something going on every day. They have bingo and they have exercise classes and a lot of craft sessions. The only thing we are going to do, is they have music most Friday afternoons. So, a piano player, or a guitar player, or somebody coming in to play for an hour. The food is very good. It can become repetitious, but it would be repetitious any place when you get three meals a day, but very, very good quality stuff.

I toured Holiday Orchid Terrace. The staff and the rooms were very nice. They had quite a variety of floor plans, so you could have a one-bedroom, but some of them could be different sizes and square footage. Some were a little bit larger than others. I made a note that the lady said they have 34 different floor plans, so there's quite a lot to pick from. I had lunch at this facility, and what I had was very tasty. I liked the way the dining hall was laid out. There was plenty of room for people with walkers to get through and not banging into chairs and things of that nature. In terms of activities, they had a ton of things going on. I went right before Easter, and they were dyeing eggs. They play bingo, they have bridge, and they have church services. The atmosphere was very positive.

The lady that took us around Holiday Orchid Terrace was the assistant manager, and she was good. The facility was bright, airy, and clean. It was nice. The food was OK. We had catfish. macaroni, and corn on the cob. They had a refrigerator, a little kitchenette, cable TV, and free parking (we liked that). They had everything we wanted, except we'd like to have a washer and dryer in the unit and there was none in there. We'd like to have more counter space, and they didn't have a stove in the kitchenette. So, those were all negatives, but the size of the unit and cleanliness were all OK. It was all nice. The staff were all very friendly.

Holiday Orchid Terrace was really nice, and I really liked it. The people who assisted us during the tour were caring and informative. They were nice and sweet. We were treated to lunch and it was very good. They had a little exercise room, and a room where they could play cards or bingo. I think once or twice a week they had happy hour. They also had movie nights.

Holiday Orchid Terrace was laid out very nicely. Everything was nice, roomy, and comfortable. I went there for lunch, and it wasn't bad. Their food is a step above McDonald's. The living atmosphere was depressing. There are too many old people there. The facility was very, very personable and very nice, but it just wasn't for me. Everybody I met was very pleasant and cordial.

We liked Holiday Orchid Terrace. We certainly did. The only thing was they don't have a step down from independent living. If you need additional services, you would have to call a service. The staff was very helpful though and their food was excellent. They offered a very nice variety of different activities that we would have enjoyed. They offer transportation to your doctor if you need it and tours to different restaurants at different times.

Holiday Orchid Terrace has very polite people. They helped by showing the places and the options that they had. My aunt is there, too, and they have a very good program there. They have transportation where they take you on outings or to the store if you don't have a car. Then you've got one or two bedrooms, or a studio. The dining area is big and sit about 100 and something people. They have their own chef that cooks the food. It's great. It's formal dining. They also have their own balconies where you can walk out, a kitchenette, and a living room in the apartment. The shower is wheelchair-accessible. The grounds are gorgeous. They also have seating with rocking chairs and benches outside in front.

Holiday Orchid Terrace had beautiful apartments with full appliances. All their stuff was so new and so nice. You could also put in your own furniture. They had a piano, a library on each floor, and a nice community room. The table in the visitor's dining room can be flipped over to become a poker table. They had chess, dominoes, and puzzles. The public laundry was very nice. There were a couple of apartments that had their own washing machines. The outdoor area was very nice. The staff would bring the residents out and they would plant flowers. The courtyard has different sitting areas. It was an animal-friendly place, everybody seemed to have a small dog, and doggie treats were at the front desk. In the dining area, you order restaurant-style. There's a salad bar, milk and juice bar, or you could order something else off the menu. Everything was so nice over there. The staff who gave us the tour was a blast. She was funny and jolly with everybody.

My father moved into Holiday Orchid Terrace. It was a great experience. The staff members were friendly. The residents seem to be happy. The facility was clean. It was just a nice place. Meals are included. They have movie days and ice cream socials. They take them out to an activity in the metropolitan area once a month; it could be a movie or a baseball game. They have bingo, and they bring in musicians to play. They have a lot of different activities. They have a library.

I have toured Orchid Terrace. It's only independent living, but they offer some third-party services. It's very nice. It's a top-tier senior living center. The environment is upscale and very pleasant. I talked with half a dozen people there who seemed very satisfied. I was there for the menu portion of lunch, and it seemed like the people were pretty happy with the place. I toured three different rooms. I toured a studio and two one-bedrooms: A more efficient single one bedroom and then a larger one bedroom. I liked everything I saw. At $3500 for a single room is a little better than the other facility, but still, what I would consider being a little pricey. This place impressed me as a very nice place. If I could afford it, I would consider it. At $3500 for a single bedroom, the views were nice, and the appointments were nice. They had full-size refrigerators, the other facility only had small refrigerators with small freezers on top of that, so having a full-size refrigerator was a plus to me. The other facility had microwaves in the room, and in this place you would have had to bring your own microwave to it. My father-in-law could just as well bring his own. All in all, I thought the place was wonderful. They have in-house activities that you do with other people that you sign up for like bingo and cards. They have entertainment that they provide themselves. There's a piano that someone comes in and plays twice a week. There are organized walks in the morning and the afternoon that you could participate in with the other tenants, so you can meet a few people. The walk is all the way around the facility. It's a very nice place, so I was impressed. They offered a lot. If you were a gregarious person that liked to get out and do stuff, there was plenty to do. They offer transportation to take you to your doctor visits and they had once a week trips down to the grocery store to pick up a few things. They had a lot to offer. It's an excellent place. I took a tour with the tour guide. She was very helpful and answered all of my questions. I met the lead maintenance guy who had been with them for the last 16 years since the place opened. He was on top of everything and knew every square inch of everything and every room. I met a couple of the housekeeping and they come in once a week to do the vacuuming. They offer a sheet and towel service that is just part of the room if you want it or if you want to do your own sheets on the bed, or if you have something fancy or silk or whatever, then they have a laundry room for you to do your own laundry and as you need it. They offer a laundry service as a pro bono. If you want to hire someone to do all your laundry, they have some people that do that within the facility as well. The facility looked excellent. It was well-maintained and well painted. I didn't see a single thing while I was there that was a distractor. I didn't see one thing that made me go, 'Hmm, okay, that's not right.' I didn't see holes in the wall, I didn't see marks on the furniture, and I didn't see somebody who looked like they were in distress or being ignored. There was no bad odor within the place. I didn't stay for the meal, but the food looked pretty appetizing. They have three different choices for lunch plus an ala carte menu. There was some kind of a fish meal, there was a chicken and potato, and green bean meal for a second, and there was some kind of a chicken pot pie for a third. Then if you didn't want any of those, you could get grilled cheese and tomato soup, you could get a tuna salad sandwich, or you could get a ham and cheese sandwich or a cheeseburger. So there were all these ala carte things if you didn't feel like eating much of anything, which is mainly for people that are off going somewhere for a doctor appointment and won't get back until 2:00. They were very flexible to make sure everybody was taken care of, and got what they wanted and needed. I was impressed. The dining room was very nice.

We went to Orchid Terrace. We liked the openness of the people and the amenities that they offer. We talked to some of the residents when we were there and the staff and everybody seemed very, very happy with it. The staff during the tour was very helpful and answered all of our questions. He was awesome. He offered us a meal. It was in the middle of the morning, so we weren't there at mealtime, but he said that we can come back any time, all we had to do is give them a call. It's absolutely clean. The apartment that we toured had a balcony and looking at some of the layouts, they all seemed to have either a balcony or if they're on the main floor, it might be like a porch, but it looked like it was an outside door to a sitting area, which was one of the big things we were looking at.

My mom moved into Orchid Terrace. It was very clean, friendly people, and various sizes of apartments were available. What I don't like is they've taken a long time to send a welcoming committee to adjust my mother to the surroundings. The food's very good. They could use a little more entertainment. It's very nice. They have transportation. There's a full time health care staff there, 24/7. They have laundry rooms available on each floor. They have a full-kitchen that's available for residents to use. They have a library.

Orchid Terrace was a beautiful place. It seemed like they had everything that you could want, but I didn't find it a friendly place. I didn't feel like people were engaged. We saw a lot of empty hallways and nobody was out and walking. So, I wasn't happy with that. If I would be in a place, it would have been a place where activities were going on and people were engaged in doing the available things, and not where people just stay in the room, but the rooms were very nice and were good sized. The staff who gave me the tour was very informative and friendly. They knew the place well. They answered all my questions and nobody had to call in to get the answer from someone else. I appreciated that. The dining area looked very nice. It's a very attractive dining atmosphere and it was like one of the newest ones I saw. Everything was beautiful and it seemed like a very updated place.

I visited Orchid Terrace to see what was available, what the pricing range was, and to just take a look at the facility to see what I thought of it. I thought it was very nice. The unit that they showed me was good, and the price was okay. I did not eat there, but I observed that the dining room looked very nice. They have housekeeping, a dining area with three meals a day, and organized tours for the residents if they want them. They also have a library and community get-together areas that all looked really nice. They had adequate parking for people who still drive too. I looked at one of the larger units (about 1,100 square feet) with 2 bedrooms, and I thought it was adequate. My concern at this time is about storage. If I was to make a move, I would have to figure out where to store some items because they do not have any storage facilities (other than what's in the units themselves). I thought it was very clean, and I didn't have any problems at all. Plus, they also have security around the clock.

We loved Orchid Terrace. We were very close to renting that one, but in the end we ended up going with another place. In our in-person visit, the guy was phenomenal, and he was great. It was a little outdated, and it could have been remodeled a little bit as far as the hallways, but they kept the lawns very nice. It is very close to the highway, so it is convenient that way. The rooms were very nice. They were also in the middle of remodeling all the rooms.

Orchid Terrace appeared very nice, but my mom just needed more care than they really provide. It's clean. I got to go in a room and see, and they're more like little apartments. They had kitchenettes. My mom just needs more care. She can't really take care of herself. The staff was very helpful and spent a lot of time with me.

Mom was there 7 years and it was all 5's when she moved in. Food quality as well as quantity has dropped. One night supper was a hot dog and nothing else. They used to go on outings and that had declined. There is no security or management available after 7 PM until morning. The manager is unfriendly and allowed the fire doors to be blocked open while waiting for repairs. The one thing that is always on time is the annual rent increase. These declines were happening before COVID became an issu

My friend moved into Orchid Terrace about a month ago. She's limited because they had her under quarantine since she'd been there. They bring meals to her room. The staff is doing great. John, the sales manager has done an excellent job trying to accommodate us. My friend has a 1-bedroom apartment with a balcony, but they have different types, sizes, some don't have balconies, and they have a 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and studio.

My overall tour at Orchid Terrace was very good. The staff who accommodated me during the tour was John, and he was really nice. He's actually more informative than the staff at the other place I visited. The location of the community is accessible to everything, it's about a mile away from the mall, and it's very convenient. The apartments were very nice, they had balconies and you can look down on the courtyard. It was just like a postcard.

Nancy and I are currently residents for the last 3 plus years. We enjoy living here very much and our only regret is we did not come earlier. Jake does a great job on the food, and the staff is very helpful and caring. The facilities are very adequate for our living needs at this time. Deb our new activities director and can be counted to add a nice touch of creativity and meaningful things to do.

Orchid Terrace was super nice. It's independent living, but they have additional care you could hire if you needed to. It had a very warm atmosphere, they have a really comfortable looking and nice dining areas. The rooms are very bright and had a lot of natural light in them which was really nice. They have what they call the Pink Ladies. I guess they're the ones who helps out when you needed additional care. We saw everybody coming down for lunch. They have the usual amenities like an amphitheater, crafts room, and activities. The apartments were really nice, seem inviting and everyone had their own private little porch. It was the nicest place by far that we've visited. They took me on a tour of the whole building. They have a lot of areas where people could gather and talk. They have a theater area. The dining room is a good balance and not overly fussy décor-wise. It just seems like a nice place to eat and sit with friends. The place was spacious and well-lit. They also followed up with me. The community is located in a residential area, and it was a very nice setting. There's lots of people out and moving around and there are hand rails down all the hallways. The apartments are what kind of struck me as being the best. They were just really nice and beautiful. The building itself was beautiful, very roomy, clean, well-decorated and laid out nicely.

Orchid Terrace was wonderful and very nice, but the price for the rent was out of my reach. One of the things I didn't care for was that the floor covering was a white rug, which there's no way I'd like. For those who can afford the place, there's nothing to improve on. The place was very clean, everything was spotless, and staff was very friendly.

Orchid Terrace is great. The staff-members are all very patient and caring. My dad's studio apartment is a perfect size for him, and they do the housekeeping, so it's very clean. They have a movie every day that residents can go to, they get together to play cards or Wii bowling, they go out for outings or lunches, they take them to the casino once a month, and they also always have happy hour. So all in all they kept the seniors busy and active.

My mom gets excellent care at the Orchid Terrace, and she is very happy with the food. The service is excellent, and the management is very caring. But the negative thing is, she has been in since the beginning of March, at which time they did not have a bus driver to take people out on outings, and they continue to have that issue; they have not hired a bus driver about eight weeks, and that’s unacceptable. Mom enjoys the food and activities, she’s got a beautiful room, and they take good care of her.

Orchid Terrace was a very homey, clean, and very friendly place. The staff was wonderful and helpful. The apartments were very clean, updated, and very nice. Their price was comparable to other places. I liked the convenience of it because you have everything right there, especially if the person is independent enough to drive or take a short walk to the shopping places nearby.

Orchid Terrace is an independent living facility and they have an organization that does things for the residents. My mother loves the meals, the library, and the exercise classes they have, and the fact that just about everything she goes to is on the floor where she is at. She likes all the activities. They have the entire month listed and hanging up and they can choose what activity they want to go to. She has her apartment cleaned once a week and they come and change her bedding once a week. She loves it. I would recommend them. She has her own little apartment, a little kitchenette, a bedroom, a bathroom, and a living room.

We are on the waiting list at Orchid Terrace. I chose it because Monica, who interviewed me, was extremely helpful, comforting, and friendly. The place was very clean, and because I'm looking for an efficiency to keep the cost down, they have nice sized efficiency. Also, it is fairly close to where I live, and the price is good. Monica has explained that if the person you placed there starts to get more involved, there are a lot of separate little services that can be purchased, e.g. assistance with dressing, assistance with taking meds or bathing, etc. It just seemed really nice and complete, it is in a pretty location, and it is very clean.

Orchid Terrace is a fairly new facility. It’s close to the highway, and it’s not hard to get to it. I liked the one-bedroom because of the kitchen area, and my table will fit there. The bedroom is spacious. I also liked the travel package where if you live in a Holiday and you travel to a city that has a Holiday you can stay there for a week with the same amenities that you get at home. They have Bingo and socialization. The staff is very good. I did not eat there, but you can see the dining area from the top floor.

I had a stroke and my wife passed on, and I stayed at the Orchid Terrace for about six months because I couldn't live at my home. The managers and everything there was friendly. I had a one-bedroom apartment that was spacious enough. They served three meals a day and the food were nourishing. They had an activities' lady that was really good and nice, and they had all kinds of activities. It was a really nice place.
