"Everything at The Boulevard of St Peters was very well done. It was relatively new. It's just been there for a year. So, everything was nice. We had already put a deposit there for Mom, but we didn't get to use it. The lady was very professional."

"I went to Lake St Charles Retirement Community. It's clean, it smells amazing, and the staff is very pleasant. The amenities there are amazing from what we saw. Lots of people come out for activities, the floors are clean. Dining room is restaurant style dining, so you order off of a really nice menu, and the room size is perfect. The model room was nice, and then she took us into another room, that exact same size that was all open to see how furniture and things would move in. We could move in and set it up, and it was very nice also. Tons of activities going on all throughout the day. All the residents were gathering upstairs for -- they were going to play cards that day, they were playing blackjack. They've got a large screen TV. They had their own weight room, exercise room, they had a beauty salon that looked like one of the beauty salons you go in here. They have continental breakfast. They serve two meals, or you can just do one meal a day and make the stuff in your own room. They have a beautiful library, they have a geriatrics on staff, and a podiatrist on staff. They come in and clean the room once a week, strip the bed, and do the laundry if you want them to do your laundry, or you can do it yourself."

"My brother has moved into Solstice Senior Living at Fenton. My brother is in a little apartment and gets his meals and everything. The apartment is 350 square feet. He is on the first floor. They have everything. They have a lot of stuff that he can join in and do. They have a bus to take them to places. I love it and he loves it, so that's all that matters. The building is very nice. It smells like a restaurant. I love everything about it. There's nothing negative about the place that I found."

"The Rockwood is set up very nicely for independent living. There are exercise facilities, a laundry room, a sitting room, and a dining room. Most of the time, the lunch is available if you want it, but since it's an independent facility, most of the tenants eat out. The facility serves breakfast, lunch, and brunch on Sundays just in case you come back from church and want to eat. It's a really nice setting even though it's by an old railroad track. The Rockwood is an old, country-style living community, and it's quite quaint. The building has elevators, and all of the rooms are excellently done with wood trim. They have a cart inside if you need assistance getting around. The building has been updated. The people there are very kind, nice, and understanding. The rooms have nice views and outside patios. There are about three entrances, and the residents have their own parking lot. Residents can do gardening. The staff actually takes care of the patios, but if they like, the tenants can do it as well. It is a very nice setting, and it's a very nice area. "

"I did a tour of Friendship Village Sunset Hills. We just went into the building and saw one apartment. It was very clean. Everything was well maintained. He was very friendly and very knowledgeable. He described their facility and program very well. He answered all the questions that we had. It's just all-around good."

"I toured Kingsland Walk Senior Living. I was impressed with how new the building seemed. The facility was excellent, but the location, I would not feel comfortable walking my dog outside. All the staff that I met were very friendly. The structure of the building and cleanliness was excellent. You have everything there from independent living to memory care, all mixed in one place. It's good, but it also sometimes can be depressing as an independent living person because you're also seeing the assisted living and memory care people mixed in with the independent living."

"Overall this is a good facilitiy. the biggest complaint among residents is the small food portions. occassionally the food portions are good. 9 out of 10 times they are not. residents have complained to me personally about leaving the table still hungry. "

"I toured Fields of Florissant. I liked the little villas. They were perfect, with a little attached garage. The staff who assisted with the tour were very professional and concerned. She was excellent. I don't have any complaints. The little villas were something that I would really like. It was just too expensive. I think it was like $3,000 a month, and that was a little more than what I wanted to pay. The size of the rooms was nice, and the layout was beautiful. It's private. You had everything that you needed right there."

"I moved into tower Grove Manor. I’m transgender, and I feel safer here, and that was of big importance for me. It’s a very nice place, the people are wonderful here, and the area is very tolerant. The apartments are about the same size anywhere, it’s an older building, but it’s beautifully well-kept up, and the food has been great. They’ve been wonderful to me. I’ve gone to happy hour, bingo, and played cards a little bit. They have Christmas planned out. The menu has been great, there’s plenty of it, they have people that carry it to your table for you, and the ice tea is wonderful. It’s very pet-friendly here, and we have a big park across the street. I take my dog there so she can run."

"I went to The Boulevard at Wentzville and it was very nice. It's huge and they have different buildings. The person who took us through was very nice. I thought it was a nice place, but I'm not sure whether it would be the best place for my husband. It's very expensive."

"My dad moved to Garden Place Columbia because it's close to me. He could have his dog there. They were very professional, very polite, and very helpful. The food has good taste, good presentation, good quality, and quantity. The facility is very clean and updated. They have bands that come, they have bonfires, they have trips, and they go on all kinds of activities that they do."

"My mother is in Garden Place Senior Living - Millstadt Community. It's in a neighborhood rather than in a business park. It's only one level and only has 36 clients. It smells good. The staff seems to be very good and it has good food. They have regular meals and they often have ice cream socials. They have activities like Bingo, chair yoga, and mindfulness. They have celebrations for the holidays and they have a system where they give the person a dollar every time that they show up to one of thes activities. They can spend their dollars in a store there where they can buy cookies, toiletries, or different things. It's a good incentive. It seems to work for my mother to get her to attend things. They seem to be responsive to my mother's needs. They keep us informed of what's going on with her. They tend to feed the residents a lot of sandwiches and soup, but that's what they seem to like. The staff is well-trained, they're good at their jobs, and they care about the clients that they have. It's well worth the price. She's independent, and she's still able to do most everything for herself."
