It is a nice place. They have a gym where a person comes in and does physical therapy with the residents. They also have somebody that comes in and does music. My brother lives in a 1-bedroom apartment. He has someone that comes in and makes his bed (if he wants it) and washes his clothes. They keep his apartment clean. The food is excellent. He likes it and eats all of it (and I've eaten there a couple of times, too.) There is a park down the street. They can walk there wherever they want. They also have a library, a game room, and a little room with comfortable chairs to just chat with family members.

My mom has moved here. It's warm and welcoming. The staff was very personable and were resident-focused. They're very hospitable, willing to help, very accommodating, and willing to go out of their way to help residents. My mom has her own apartment. It's very open, and it has nice hardwood floors in the living room and the kitchen area. It also has lots of closet space, and emergency pull cords in the bedroom and the bathroom. It's very clean and they're very quick to help residents in their rooms for hanging things or that kind of thing. The dining area is very open, and I love how they have open dining. You can come down whenever you get up in the morning. If you want to have breakfast for dinner, you can have that. You can order anything off the menu at any time during the day whatever their hours are.

The staff here was very, very nice. The atmosphere was very warm and very inviting, but the apartments were not complete apartments. They didn't have stoves, for instance. I was looking for a more complete apartment living situation. Their dining area was very nice. I saw a group of residents doing a painting activity. They looked very happy and content, including the people that I passed on the hall. I didn't like it because I didn't care fo the neighborhood. I wouldn't have been comfortable in that neighborhood. At my age, I'm less interested at hanging out in the Loop or being close to it than I was years ago. The facility itself is new, so it's very clean and nice.

I just recently visited and selected Kingsland Walk as the next home for my mother. She is very excited about moving as she was very active prior to Covid. Now that she is no longer able to drive and live on her own she wants a facility that is nice and provides an opportunity to have a social life again. The staff was all very professional during and after my initial visit. We are working with them now to complete the intake process. Another rating to come post move in.

It was new, very nice, and had all the same amenities and everything. The staff member toured us to the assisted living and memory care, and he was very knowledgeable and very informative. He showed me every bit of the facility and everywhere that the residents could go, and they all looked satisfied living there. So, it was a great tour. The staff spoke nicely to me. They came up, talked to me, and asked if they could answer any questions. The dining room was very open and friendly, too, and the rooms were really nice. I liked their setup better than the other place I saw. In the double room, you could put up a curtain for your privacy, as compared to other places where you had to walk through one person's room to get to the other side. It's just the layout was different, and it was nice. They had a recreation area where they played cards and games, a couple of different areas with TVs, and little areas where they had that Touch on Touch thing where there's a baby bed, a baby, and animals as you walk through the floor. There were like two of those areas. They do trips, too, where they take them out once a week. On the memory floor they do more activities, because those people have more of a need in the community.

It is new and it's very beautiful. The staff was very welcoming. The rooms were really big for memory care. They work with you and they reach out every week. You can tell the same kind of warmth and welcoming. I tried the food three times during the open house. With my father passing away, they even sent a meal for the family for the repast.

It was modern and new, and they were very friendly. It was a nice mixture of people and everything, but they don't have skilled nursing there. As I get worse, I'll have to find some other place to go. Other than that, I was very impressed with them. They stopped by my house, they asked me some things about myself, and I told them I like to color. They stopped by before I even came and dropped off a coloring book and markers. After we'd been through there, they came afterwards and dropped off cookies for me and dog cookies for my dog. It was excellent. It was impeccable. Everything was new. They had a lovely choice of all kinds of artwork. They impressed me a lot.
