I've chosen The Garden Plaza of Florissant for my mom, and she has moved in there. It's been great. It's very clean. The people there are very nice, and they seemed to actually care about the residents there. I feel comfortable with my mother being there. They keep them occupied to a great deal. I appreciate that as far as just sitting in her room, they've got stuff for her to do every day.

The Garden Plaza of Florissant was very well put together. It seemed to be very well-staffed. There appeared to be a very good calendar, although not-too-busy calendar of activities for them. They were very forthcoming and very pleasant to work with. The only reason I might go with a different facility is its physical proximity. It's very close to where I live, but I still would have to drive five minutes to get there. The other facility, I could walk there. However, it's a very strong candidate. And the staff appeared to be very committed. There's very low turnover and there's a great high commitment to the residents. They appeared to be very concerned. They care for the residents as if they are their own family, which is a very important thing.

My father was recently at Garden Plaza and we had to move him. They mismanaged his meds, failed to provide showers and my brother had to do a lot of his care and cleaning himself. The care paid and promised was not provided. The management was bad at responded and fixing the issues. I would never put someone I love in here.

We recently placed my father in Garden Plaza of Florissant and it started out well and has been a living hell for him and us ever since. We are moving him out of here due to severe mismanagement by the director “Dr.” Dee. Under her direction the staff is lacking both in compassion as well as ability. Dad goes WEEKS without being bathed. We have found him in his own urine and soil several times. Upon reporting such incidents nothing occurs to remedy it. If you have a loved one none of us would recommend this place.

The Garden Plaza of Florissant was the place I was trying to get my husband into. It was 5 minutes from my house, and I tried to get him there, but he was too sick for them. It's a beautiful place. We went and toured their memory care and it was very nice and very neat. It was a beautiful place on the inside and outside. The room was lovely and very, very nice. I only saw one and it had a kitchen, a living room, a bathroom, and a bedroom. The staff who assisted us was also very nice.

The tour at The Garden Plaza of Florissant was fine. We just walked around, and we saw the place, and everything looked nice and clean. The person who accommodated me was very informative and she knew everything. The rooms were fine. There's nothing wrong with them. Pretty much every place we toured, they all kind of looked the same. There are no activities right now due to COVID, but they're just getting back to mealtime with two people at a table. There was a little library.

When this facility was The Bridge, it was a very nice facility and staff was very attentive. Under new ownership, the quality of care rapidly declined. Eventually, it was recommended that my mother in law be moved to a different facility because the care she needed was not provided here. Although partial rent refund was a promised, that never happened and further communication with the director became impossible; no returned phone calls; refusal to in-person discussion, etc.

My mother was in Garden Plaza of Florissant. She lived in the assisted living facility, but next door was the skilled nursing, and she had been in both those locations this last year. Up until January I would rate it a five, 'cause a lot of the same people that worked there in the beginning when my mom moved in there years ago, they still worked there, until they sold to Garden Plaza. When it was called the Bridge at Florissant, it was a great place, wonderful staff, very helpful, they must have taken care of their staff. When they changed hands to Garden Plaza of Florissant it went downhill, and I would rate it a two or three tops. They need to do what the other owners did and get rid of whoever they hired now, because the ones they hired were absolutely terrible, at least the higher ranked. There were very few and far between of the higher up people that were very helpful.

I've lived in my cozy, 2 bedroom, 2 bath Independent home for about 2 years; and I'm still waking up every morning smiling. The little homes are kept up meticulously. I want to address the fears of rent being too expensive. I originally felt that, but we owned our previous home and compared our expenses of living there: utilities, repair and upkeep, caring for the grounds, our food bill, handymen, transportation and entertainment, reading material, computer, television phone, garbage pick up, etc. and if one adds all that up, you will probably be quite surprised. Add a safe, friendly, lovely atmosphere to all this, and it's great! PS Forgot to add excellent housekeepers as the frosting on the cake... ALL above included in the monthly rent. At last time to read if you don't want to take advantage of the many activities offered.

It was beautiful and the rooms were fantastic; it's just so expensive. They have a number of different outings, card games, bingo, and a number of different things. They have a library, a game room, a library, cafeteria or dining area, and the outside areas were pleasant. The dining area was bright and cheerful, and the residents seemed to be enjoying it.

It is so beautiful and the people are so kind. The food is also very good. My godmother has been in there so I visit there a lot, and I like everything about the place. They take their patients out, they are participative with their patients, and they also have church on Sundays. I can't say anything bad about them. They do therapy and everything, and they make the patients happy. Although my godmother can't walk, she seems to love it there.

It is really nice, and I liked that there were no steps at all. The level of security is even better than the other community I visited. The director I spoke with said that each of the residents there have a badge that activate some kind of alarm if they get out. I thought that was great, especially if you have a senior with concerns about wandering. It's a beautiful place, and it's only a few years old, so everything is very modern and much newer. They have options for dining and activities, and everything was just really good. I've extended an invitation to take my mom up there for lunch and check things out. There were so many activities in their calendar, like a salon day, which is like a spa day where they can get their nails done, and they have dance activities, and so much more. They even have an area there where they invite the family over and check out if it's a nice place to stay. An area is also setup for birthdays so that the family can come in and have a party or gathering in a reserved space.

I like it very much. Their employees are very caring and would do anything for you. There’s about three or four activities every day. The appearance is wonderful; they have beautiful furniture and carpeting in the building.

It has a smaller building, you can have assisted mobility devices, and it has more of a homey feeling. The dining room is basically a restaurant, you have a main meal and a lot of options if you don’t want it. The people were very friendly.

It has been very good for my folks. They seem to be getting the level of care that we have expected. The workers are all very kind. The room, for someone who is in hospice, is really too small and it’s very challenging when you have a lot of equipment to find a place to fit everything. Like for instance, right now, my parents both have walkers, there’s a wheelchair, an oxygen machine, and a bedside table.

It had large studio rooms, and they were nice. The place is new, very clean, and it was near my place of work. The people there were very friendly. It was out of our budget though.

It was very nice. We were really impressed because they had different levels of care from villas for independent, assisted living, to apartments to skilled care. My husband had Alzheimer's and as he gets worse, he can still have care and wouldn't have to move. The villas were very impressive and a lot like our home. It gave us a sense of independence and we would still be able to keep at least one or two of our vehicles if we wanted to because it has a one car garage. It had two bedrooms, one bedroom was big enough to have a sitting room in it. The living room had a fireplace and it had two bathrooms. It was connected to the main campus in case something happened and we needed help. Everything was on one level and the hallways were wide for wheelchairs. Over at the assisted living area, there was a café and we could have dinner brought right to us or eat there at the cafe. They had three meals a day. They had transportation and access to all of the other amenities like the gym. They had activities we could participate. The staff seemed very friendly. People smiled at you, from the residents to the staff. Even if they were busy doing something, they would stop and offer to give some assistance. I thought that was awfully nice and impressive. When I lost my daughter, one of the young women came by and sent flowers to her. We didn't expect that, and they would still call -- I thought that was very nice.

I lived close to here. I had placed my deposit there. Everybody that I had talked to and had encountered was very nice, open, loving, and caring. Where I would be going to was a duplex apartment of my own, which was a separate living quarter with a wonderful bathroom. I had eaten there, and the food was great. You could choose what you wanted. They had entrees, sandwiches, and desserts. I liked that it had nice, flat ground where I could walk. I knew they had bingo and informational meetings on subjects like how to prevent falling.

It has 12 little villas and I'm so in love with them. The villa that I saw has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The big bedroom has a little sitting area with computer in the corner. It also has an electric fireplace and a little patio. I like all of that. They have a light on top of all these little villas. When I inquired about the light, they said those lights are for them to know which villas has a situation. When you call for an ambulance, you call on them and turn the light on and they will know where to go.
