"SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital - Bridgeton was wonderful and did so much for my husband. He's walking a whole lot better now. He was there for acute rehab and got over 3 hours of therapy every day. They were so nice and very kind. The food was excellent. It's like going to a restaurant. It was pretty tasty. I just loved everything about it. Most of the time when you call, they are there when you ring your buzzer. They were prompt, very courteous, and friendly. Sometimes, they were a little late picking up the linens, etc., but they're usually in all the time, checking in, making sure everything was up to order, that we didn't need anything, and making sure that everything was satisfactory. They have TVs in every room and then they bring around a list of different activities that the lady posts up on the wall. They got games, puzzles, magazines, newspapers, and just anything you want."

"It's a nice facility, but I didn't really think that the nursing care was that good at Parkwood. It didn't do my friend any harm, but I don't think they really did much to take care of him either. "

"When my grandma first went to a nursing facility my family along with my grandma was very concern. You hear so much bad things happening that we didn't want her to become a victim. We would of loved to take care of her at home but we are unable to do so. The facility allowed us to bring in personal and sentimental items to make grandma feel comfortable. The people were very nice and you didn't get the odor as soon as you walk in, unlike others that we toured. Grandma has been at Stourbridge for 6 months and grandma loves it which makes us feel at ease. "

"I visited Nhc Healthcare Maryland Heights when we looked for a place for my mother. It was number two on our list but we were on the wait list. The staff seemed very friendly and accessible. The facility appeared very clean and open. I liked that they had an outdoor garden area and a couple of paths. They also had a sheep, a pony and a couple of chickens which the residents could feed. "

"Everything is great at Saint Ann Assisted Living Residence except the food is not up to par. Living here is really good. The rooms are just bedrooms, but spacious. They have a dining room, a social worker, trips and bingo, a library and a physical therapist coming every day. The staff is great. It's very reasonable, too. There's a golf course right behind us and it's got a Dollar Store and places to eat within walking distance."

"I've been in rehab at Bentleys Extended Care. The nurses are good and everything. The food is not good because I'm vegetarian and lactose intolerant. Some of the people here are OK, but most of them don't have a brain. Everything is OK. There are activities almost every day. There's exercises (which is what we have right now), games, and things like that. I've been cooking for myself almost all my life, and here they don't know what it is to be a vegetarian, lactose intolerant, and diabetic, and I have trouble with a lot of foods here."

"My dad is at Mount Carmel Senior Living. The place is absolutely great. The staff is wonderful, and we love it. They took good care of him. Their food is very good. They have lots of activities like they do outings. They go out to different places to eat. They have Halloween parties for the kids. They have Thanksgiving dinner. They also play bingo and do crafts. They have a church inside. They have music every Tuesday night where somebody comes in. What I like most about this facility is that the people are very caring; my dad is very well taken care of. "

"I went to visit Rosewood for my mom and, for a tour, I just love it. The facility seemed very nice. It did not smell at all anywhere like a nursing home. Rosewood was a good nursing home more so than where she is now. I was also impressed with the fact that every bed is certified for Medicaid, so that one was on my list. Their rooms also were nice and it was clean. Without knowing what it's like to live there, I would still give it a high rating. "

"I visited this facility while attempting to locate a home for a family member. I recall the grounds being well-kept and flurishing with color. The facility offered a warm appeal. Within the home, the residents were engaged within various activites. The home was clean. Many residents were utilizing the 24-hr ""snack"" area. I thought this concept was neat - especially for more dependent residents. We utimately didn't select this home due to the lack of a private room at the time. "

"My brother moved into Lewis & Clark Gardens. It was more of what he was used to, so compatibility. It was almost like a dorm room for college. Each person could have a bed, and his or her closet space. The staff was very upbeat, and willing to help."

"The care my mother received at NHC was absolutely the most professional, caring, supportive, and the epitome of loving care that I have ever been in contact with. My mother spent almost 4 years here and never had one complaint as to her treatment. The staff is the most loving and caring people I have ever met. Nothing but good and above average marks for the administration and staff. Thank you NHC for giving my mother the best care she could have gotten anywhere. You all are in my prayers. "

"St. Sophia was very nice. There was plenty of lighting and open space. It didn't look like a hospital at all as there were recent upgrades of hardwood floors and new art. The facility was very clean. For visitors, coffee and tea were available. During my visits, it was fully staffed and the nurses and developmental assistants were quick to respond to any call. There weren't any staff just 'hanging around' or watching television. They all were busy. I watched how the staff treated the other patients. The staff were nice and caring. The other residents were either watching television, doing other activities, or interacting with each other. There was plenty to do on the activity board. I asked my grandfather how he was being treated and he was doing OK. He didn't have any qualms being there. One time I visited during dinner time. The food served was healthy and portion controlled. "
