"Eden Village is very clean. The staff is exceptionally nice take good care of my dad. I feel my dad is in a really safe and secure environment. He has been there for two months now. Their rooms are like most of the other ones I visited and look like hospital rooms, but you can decorate them how you like and they're always clean. There is a bathroom in all of the rooms. Their dining set up is really nice. My dad may go lay down in his room, but they always make sure he gets up in a wheelchair and help him out to a special table. He doesn’t eat a whole lot, but he says the food tastes very good. They have a lot of activities there, which he sometimes participates in. I don’t have anything negative to say about them. They have taken such wonderful care of my father. I couldn’t be more blessed. "

"My grandma lives here and it's very nice. They have a dog who runs around and keeps the residents' company! The staff are nice. Most of the residents seem to be non-ambulatory which is unfortunate for my grandma since she is still walking without too much difficulty. So she really doesn't have anyone to walk around with! "

"My father spent two weeks in rehab at this facility. The staff went above and beyond to keep him comfortable and active. Very friendly staff and the administrator even came to introduce himself and ask if we needed anything. I visited him daily and even though he was part of a bounce back program I would recommend this facility for longer term care as well. The staff and resident interaction was friendly and comfortable."

"Integrity Healthcare of Alton is clean and smells OK. I've just had a little trouble with some of the staff, only because my dad is very particular about what he eats and he doesn't like to tell people about that. I understand that they're busy, but I would like for them to say, "Are you going to eat this? Or should we bring you another one?" When I've gone in, they had a room where some people were watching TV and a gym that they can go in and exercise."

"My visit with Hidden Lake went OK. The actual living quarters impressed me. They were friendly. One thing that stuck in my mind was that when you were ready to move out of your home, they would actually help you. They had social activities. However, I guess because I didn't see anything else that was going on in there, it didn't feel homey. Even though it was bright inside the place, but it felt like nothing was going on. I didn't see them engaged in any activities or anything. The person that showed us around was very knowledgeable with what was going on. She showed us two different settings. One was inside the building, and then one that was located outside -- a garden view. She gave the menu of the food and the activities. I guess it would be a good place to live. "

"My dad is in The Valley for a two-month rehab. He does not like the food because it's bland and the service is OK. They have a lot of younger people working there who provide less attention than they should be, but their work ethics are pretty good. They give Dad a bath twice a week. He is in a pretty decent, single room. There aren't a lot of people there. They need to improve on the scheduling of nurses; there are times where there's a lot of them, then the next day, there aren't any nurses. The outside of the place is nice, but the area where the employees smoke has cigarette butts all over. Their rehab is pretty good. The place is pretty decent, overall. "

"I'm at St. Louis Place. There's nothing that I don't really like about it. The staff are nice. The place is clean. They show concern for the clients. They provide the food, and the food is good. They have plenty of activities, like bingo, cards, and movies. They have a variety of activities."

"The staff were nice and friendly at Caseyville Nursing and Rehab. It's a nice facility. The rooms were small, but they were clean. Their residents looked wonderful. "

"My wife is at Hillside Manor Healthcare and Rehab Center. She has been there for about four months now. As I can see, they're not helping her with anything. They just lay her in the bed, and I come and feed her every day. I don't think they did any therapy with her. When you go there, they do short-term therapy, and then you become long-term, but I don't think she goes to any therapy. All they do is dress her sometimes and sometimes they lay her in the bed, and they feed her, that's it. My wife's room is filthy, dirty, and nasty. I see mice running around the floor. Some of the staff are good, and some of them are horrible. You got someone who is just there to get a check. From what I observed, they need to work on the staff because the staff are the people who watch the patients."
