"My mother was at Cedar Ridge for 8 years and she was the happiest I have ever seen her. from the evening i dropped her off (which I was crying) but she told "I feel like I am home where I need to be." My mom was so depressed living in a apartment by herself. She loved going down and eating breakfast with other resident she got hugs from all the nurses and CNA's. Activities keep her hand busy and her mind occupied. her special times was the summer and fall parties outdoor bands and Thanksgiving luncheon with her family and Christmas was so special everyone got a personal present. The CNA's keep her room & bathroom was immaculate cleaned. Anything my mom ask for she got it might take a while cause she was not their only patient. I only have good things to say about this place my mom was taken care just as I would of cared for her. Mike's door was always open as where the other staffing to her any concerns I had. "My father moved to the memory care unit in Lebanon Care Center from another nursing home. In the month that he has been there, my family has been very pleased with the care. While it's not the fanciest, best looking showplace that some other homes are, the staff and personal care that the residents receive have been exceptional. So many homes focus on providing the necessities and forget about treating the residents as individuals. We've been impressed with how they are attentative to the little things that makes life happier for my dad. They show genuine interest in their residents hobbies, mental outlook, and quality of life. Each month they host a family event where they residents can get together with their family and have a good time. July was a "Christmas in July" party honoring Veteran's. They served refreshments, had a wonderful sax player, and gave small treat bags to all the residents. The staff was smiling, happy, and went out of their way to engage the residents in moving to the music, dancing, etc. It was awesome to be able to share that with my dad. "

"My husband is at Terrace on The Park. So far everything has been very good. People are very friendly and nice. The food is good. The only problem I have is that it is not in the town where I live, and it takes me 25 minutes to get there. It’s an old facility, but it seems to be good. They have a lot of activities, but he does not participate in most of them. They have bingo, entertainment every week, and ice cream socials in the afternoon. They seemed to be pretty good about their activities. I would really enjoy those for my husband if he can participate. "

"My great grandmother was in an assisted living facility for several years and I visited her many times during that period. The staff was very courteous and attentive. They took the time to get to know each and every person in the facility and attempted to suit daily activities to each person's needs as well as their likes and dislikes in order to provide a more comfortable experience. The d̩cor in the facility was drab and dull. The walls were off white and the rest of the place was brown which lead to a very boring effect. I thought the facility and its members would benefit from having more color and livelihood, perhaps more plants. The amenities provided for each person was excellent. Members were able to receive cable television in their rooms, if they so desired. Also, the facility had weekly games/activities for people to participate in, if they could. Most importantly, all members were receiving the proper level of care and medication necessary for them. Overall, my impression of this facility was quite good. The staff was extremely courteous and knowledgeable, which lead to a pleasant experience for me and for the facility's members. "

"My aunt stayed here after a terrible car accident because she was unable to care for herself. I thought this facility was very nice overall. It was clean and well-maintained. The staff was helpful and respectful and made time for my aunt and the family in general. They have a lovely garden area to view out the window. This was my aunt's favorite feature. "

"St. Louis Altenheim is pretty fancy. It's right on the Mississippi River. You look out and you see the barges, then you look north, and you see The Arch. I have a one-bedroom that's about 30 by 30. I am on the corner so it has two big windows on each side. The accommodations are very nice. The people are very, very friendly and so are the residents here. The staff go out of their way to help everybody. They are knowledgeable and helpful and I'm just very comfy. You supply your own appliances. I bought a small refrigerator, but your meals are supplied here. They serve you three meals a day and their dining is not like a cafeteria. They have people that serve you. You sit there and they feed you. The activities are varied and they are very good. There is a craft room and they offer different entertainment. There are like three or four parlors and TVs all over the place. It's quite nice."
