"We were going to get Mom in Mcclay Senior Care, but before she could be transported over there, she passed away. It was big and clean. The facility is only four years old. The people were nice and very accommodating for the short period of time that we were there. The staff was nice and friendly. It was very clean. Mom was gonna be there for hospice."

"My mom is at Cottages of Lake St Louis. She is on her 10th day. The staff is super friendly and very attentive to my mom. When you walk in, it's beautiful. You feel like you're walking into somebody's home. It's very welcoming and it's very clean. It does not have that facility smell. It's very fresh smelling. When I went into her room, it has always been very clean, and her linens have always been very clean. She always has fresh clothes on, so I knew that she has been showered and well taken care of. It's cold now, but they have a patio area outside. Their grounds are very well-kept and very nice. I've been there when they've served her food, and it looks very fresh and looks delicious, and it's good. As for my mom's therapy, she is being discharged this Friday, so it has gone well. My mom is not the easiest patient, but they have been very kind to her. Valerie, who is our social worker, has been truly a blessing through this whole experience."

"I think The Gatesworth is beautiful. They have anything you needed to do, and the help is all wonderful as well as the staff. I’ve been sick this week, and they went out of their way to be nice. Everybody is wonderful here. I’m very happy here. "

"Terrible place the nursing staff is inept and lazy , they do not treat their patients with the dignity they deserve and they are hostile to family members especially if family has any questions, We got our loved one out asap I did not think places like this existed and for the sisters of mercy to put their name on this is unbelievable "

"I felt Mercy St. Louis did a great job ensuring residents were properly cared for and secure. The staff was always very friendly and seemed to have some of the more helpful workers I've seen. The location of the care center next to a major interstate and Mercy Hospital made it easy to get to and from as well as allowed for an easy trip to the hospital for tests and doctors appointments. The interior of the care facility kind of gave off the sterile hospital feel however, with not much other than white floors and white walls. They didn't seem to have a whole lot of social events for the residents either, but this care facility had a lot of people unable to move on their own or really comprehend what was going on during a day-to day basis. I would however recommend this care facility for anyone who needs to put a love one in a facility able to care for more advanced cases of Dementia, Alzheimers, and other diseases that take a lot of care. "I went to visit Rosewood for my mom and, for a tour, I just love it. The facility seemed very nice. It did not smell at all anywhere like a nursing home. Rosewood was a good nursing home more so than where she is now. I was also impressed with the fact that every bed is certified for Medicaid, so that one was on my list. Their rooms also were nice and it was clean. Without knowing what it's like to live there, I would still give it a high rating. "

"My father has moved into Parc Provence. He has been there for a week now. The care has been excellent. The staff is friendly. What I like most about it is that the facility itself is not your typical nursing home atmosphere. It is an actual community, and it looks very nice and very different. You would never guess that it's a nursing home. My father's room is a small studio, but that's all he needs. It's not much but they supply the bed, the dresser, and the closet. He has his own bathroom. And they encourage them to be out of their room and into the community, socializing and doing activities. My father is not in his room very much other than to sleep. They have different activities from art to music to storytelling. They have people come in and play live music for them. And they have people come in and help with artwork, baking, and cooking. When I was there the other day, one person sat down and just started reading a story. My father seems to like the food, too. It's very expensive, but it is worth it."

"A fine facility with quality care for rehabilitation and extended care. Good communication and access to professional staff. Still, family members/caregivers must be proactive to ensure highest level of medical care and quality of living. "

"Bentleys Extended Care is mostly just rehab center, it wasn't like an assisted living. The only thing I would say about it was that I think if my mother would have gotten a little more exercise, she probably would have been there that long. I just think they kept her pretty much in a wheelchair most of the time. Now that she's home and moving around, she moves around a lot more than she did there. The other thing was we didn't know how it worked and all that. We didn't have a meeting and tell us the time for her Medicare. I think they covered 100 days and they didn't discuss going home until the very last day. Definitely she would have been able to get out of there sooner. The living environment seemed fine. My dad has eaten several meals with my mother there. He would often spend time with her almost everyday and ate dinner with her a lot of times. "

"My dad has moved into U-City Forest Manor for rehab. It's a very positive experience. The staff was very friendly and efficient, and the environment there is comfortable. I haven't tried the food, but I know he likes the food there. I think the rooms are kind of small, but they're very well maintained though. They do have beauticians and barbers, and there is a huge lawn outside. I think that's probably why they call it Forest Manor because there's a park connected next door. I don't know how much it cost, he's on Medicare and private insurance."

"My sister put my mother in St. Johns Place. I've visited her a few times and the facility is always clean. It's well maintained and it doesn't smell, and that was a big thing that surprised me because I know even in the best senior homes sometimes, patients can have accidents and it might take a while to get to them, but that's not the problem here because it never smells or anything. The employees are pretty pleasant. The ones that seem to know my mother are pretty nice to her. They're not the friendliest, but they're somewhat professional and very helpful. The social worker is extremely nice, and I love her. I'm just glad that it's clean and my mom seems to be taken care of. She had dropped a lot of weight and she has since bounced back from that, which is amazing. She has put back on some weight. When I asked her about the food, she said, "Not bad, they just don't give enough." She is diabetic, so it's good that they don't give her too much. The dining room is clean, spacious, and has a lot of tables. They were getting ready to serve ice cream to the residents at that time. It seems like they try to do little activities with them, which is pretty nice. The day I brought her back this past Saturday, they had something going on in the backyard. The building is dated, but at least it's clean. When mom first got there, she had the room to herself. It is a room made for two people, and she now has a roommate. It's no-frills. It's big enough for two beds and a little space in between the two. There's another room where the bathroom is and inside the bathroom are two curio cabinets and they have their names taped up to each one to indicate which is which. There isn't a shower in their room, and I've never seen where they shower. The bathroom has a sink, those two curio cabinets, and a toilet, and it's spacious. When I was there, one resident was kind of having a little meltdown and they were all on top of it. The people that I had to deal with were all pretty nice. They do things for them. My mom's hair was done when I saw her."

"My sister moved into Mason Pointe. Most of the time, I've been dealing with people over the phone because of the COVID thing. I got inside off and on, and it depends upon whether they've got an issue with the infection percentage being too high in the surrounding area or whatever. For a few weeks they had opened inside. I got to meet with my sister outside when the weather was nicer. I have no problems whatsoever with the community. It seems like a good place. I've not seen her room, but she has not complained at all, so I'm assuming everything is OK. She acts like it's OK, so I assume it is. It's the people that I've dealt with over the phone that impressed me the most. I know they do activities, but I don't know what they are. She says the food is very good. I know they have a library, patios, and TV rooms, but I have not seen any of those. It's a little on the expensive side."

"I have visited a long time co-worker who is a resident of Oak Park. I found the facility to be dirty. residents unkept in wheelchairs along the walls leading to the rooms. Nursing staff gathering outside the break room just having a good ole time laughing. joking call lights going off. Nobody moved to answer the call. in order to visit you need to call for a appointment, I called one Friday to make a appointment the person I needed to speak with was Monique. I attempted to leave a voicemail but. it was full. on another occasion I tried to make a appointment I never received a call back after leaving my name and number with receptionist. My friend told me he had not had a shower in a month, I asked for a towel to clean his face a least, I was given rude stares. I'm not sure who this can and should be reported to but, I truly don't believe this is because of shortness of nursing staff because the four I saw outside the break room were not at all busy"

"My mom is currently a resident at StoneBridge. Everyone appears to be real nice from the Administrator on down to the housekeepers. Every once in a while you will have a run in with a not so nice aide but the good outweigh the bad. The room is not all that big but its okay. It doesnt smell and has alot of good activities. The meals smells and look delicious. Mom has no complaints which was surprising because she is so use of being independepent and in her own home. For these reasons and more I give this facility 5 stars. "
