"Absolutely abhorrent. The caregiver showed up dirty and smelled like alcohol. She was late and not very nice when confronted. I called and talked to someone and she was just as rude. Stay away from these folks."

"The same people from Flowers Home Health came five days each week. They helped my father get up, get dressed, bathed, and prepared his breakfast for him. They talked to him while he ate breakfast, made up his bed, and changed his linens. They provided good conversation for him and were very kind and patient. Also, they made sure he was very clean. They came at the time that we requested, but my father didn't really like it. So they came at a time when he felt more like getting up, and they spent time with him. When I needed him to be ready for an appointment, they were there to make sure he was ready. The young lady who came was very good with my dad."

"My mother has Alzheimers and this agency came into our home and interviewed all of us and put together a plan of care that helps the whole family. They provided skilled nursing and therapies when she needed them, but mostly they provided an angel in an everyday caregiver to mom. This allowed the rest of us peace of mind to go on with our lives. They really care about mom and keep looking for ways to improve her life. God Bless them. "

"I have friends who've used the Lutheran Senior services before. I just had people do the housekeeping and jobs around the house. They helped me take care of the house when I couldn't walk. I had an orthopaedic nurse come once a week to look at my leg. They knew what they were doing. They're specialized enough and had one orthopaedic and neurologic staff. "

"We got St. Anthony's Home Care Center for Mom. They did therapy, help her exercise, and take her blood sugar. They would call us and let us know what they were doing. We had them for two weeks. They were good, and I liked them a lot."

"Our principal physician is in the Mercy system. Somebody suggested that we might like to check Mercy Home Health. We just had a referral from a good person that we trusted and our primary physician so we thought it would be good to take their advice. It was very good and very dependable. Everybody was well trained and knew their job well. They kept their appointments on time which is very important to me. My family and I were satisfied with them. As far as I know, the caregivers were well investigated, and I trusted them completely. "

"This employer does not hold it's employees accountable to report to work. We have frequent, short notice, unexcused absences for my wife who requires 24 hour nursing care."

"My dad is still at home with home care. I'm using BrightStar Care of Central St. Louis County. It is provided by the VA. They provide help with a bath, blood pressure, cleaning up, helping get dressed, helping out or in bed if needed, and clean up after like dishes, etc. I've been using them for four months now. They're very efficient and very kind, and that's all I need. I do the scheduling and the billing goes to the Veterans Administration. They're providing this service to my dad. They're good at scheduling. I would highly recommend them. Everyone that I have worked with has been very efficient and helpful."

"The home health care that we're going through Medicare is St. Luke's Home Health & Hospice Services. It's what we're using right now. What has been happening for us is that we've had nurses coming twice a week, and they check vital signs, and give advice about all kinds of questions that I have. They're very nice, very competent, and very professional. The nurses also communicate with the doctor if there's a question. They will draw blood if necessary, so we don't have to go to a lab to have blood drawn. We've also had a physical therapist twice a week. The physical therapist, in addition to doing some exercises with my husband, have shown me what to do with him, and they have taught him to use a walker, which is really a blessing because he has dementia and it's hard for him to learn things. We've had the same physical therapist four times, but he's on vacation next week, so it would be a different one. The first time a nurse came, it was one person, and since then it has been the same person. I think that they try to keep the same person coming as much as possible. Scheduling is very good. They are very helpful in scheduling, so that is convenient for me. They're very reliable."
