My mother-in-law was on service with St. Luke's Hospice and they were wonderful! Every person who visited her was professional, caring and compassionate. They provided excellent care from the time she was admitted, until the time of her death. They were wonderful and I would use them again for a loved one. I highly recommend St. Luke's Hospice!

The home health care that we're going through Medicare is St. Luke's Home Health & Hospice Services. It's what we're using right now. What has been happening for us is that we've had nurses coming twice a week, and they check vital signs, and give advice about all kinds of questions that I have. They're very nice, very competent, and very professional. The nurses also communicate with the doctor if there's a question. They will draw blood if necessary, so we don't have to go to a lab to have blood drawn. We've also had a physical therapist twice a week. The physical therapist, in addition to doing some exercises with my husband, have shown me what to do with him, and they have taught him to use a walker, which is really a blessing because he has dementia and it's hard for him to learn things. We've had the same physical therapist four times, but he's on vacation next week, so it would be a different one. The first time a nurse came, it was one person, and since then it has been the same person. I think that they try to keep the same person coming as much as possible. Scheduling is very good. They are very helpful in scheduling, so that is convenient for me. They're very reliable.

Disappointed Hospice NP

This agency provided very poor hospice services. Their staff came on days they were supposed to but did not come for change of condition. The caregivers never consulted the MDs for new orders for restlessness and shortness of breath. This agency has not been responsive to my requests and I would not recommend anyone else using them for hospice services because they are not supportive for the patient nor family. Lots of unnecessary suffering.

We had mom at home and just had hospice with her. It was out of St. Luke's Hospital. My mom had always gone to St. Luke's Hospital and used their doctors. She was comfortable with that. When she was in the hospital, we had talked to hospice until I went right back to them when we decided we needed hospice. They had nurses on staff with them so it's a just matter of them assigning somebody to her so it was only a day or two. We love them. They were really, really good. We used them from Thanksgiving to Christmas. They provided all of her medical needs, hospital bed, bedside toilet, air mattress, just basically anything we needed, they provided. A nurse came in and checked on her and there is also an aide that came in a couple of times a week that would give her a bath.
