I was at SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital - Bridgeton for rehab, and it was excellent. The grounds were very well-kept, it's a clean 3-story building, and the food was very good. Their meals were excellent. There's plenty of food, and you can order what you want. It also has a cafeteria downstairs. They have a very good menu. They have a woman come around and tell you what choices they have and what you can get. A lot of times, I can't even eat all of it since they give nice portions of everything. They cook some of their own food there, I believe. All the personnel who work there are very skilled at their job. I'm talking about physical and occupational therapists. They do an excellent job. The staff members were friendly and very helpful. If you need some help getting dressed, they'll help you. They're always encouraging you, too. They put everything on the computer. Whatever you do, they log it in so they can keep track of your progress. They have activities depending on your circumstances. They have wheelchairs and walkers to give you assistance. They have different types of little weights. They also have different things for your mind, like word games and things like that. They have various kinds of apparatus in there to help you, depending on your circumstances, either to help you walk or to build arm strength. They work with both your mind and body. If I ever need rehab again, I would love to go back there. It's very adequate, comfortable, and they have everything scheduled out. When they come in as they change shifts, they have a little board up there where they change the names to let you know who your OT or PT is going to be. It's very well-organized.

SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital - Bridgeton was wonderful and did so much for my husband. He's walking a whole lot better now. He was there for acute rehab and got over 3 hours of therapy every day. They were so nice and very kind. The food was excellent. It's like going to a restaurant. It was pretty tasty. I just loved everything about it. Most of the time when you call, they are there when you ring your buzzer. They were prompt, very courteous, and friendly. Sometimes, they were a little late picking up the linens, etc., but they're usually in all the time, checking in, making sure everything was up to order, that we didn't need anything, and making sure that everything was satisfactory. They have TVs in every room and then they bring around a list of different activities that the lady posts up on the wall. They got games, puzzles, magazines, newspapers, and just anything you want.
