"Charter Senior Living of St. Louis Hills gave a great tour. Their building is a little older than the other facility, but it's well-maintained. They seemed to have everything in line. The rooms are nice. If you want to have dinner with your family, you can have that, and they have a dining room for that. I was impressed with them. They had two people that toured me. One of those people used to be the supervisor of another facility. Now she's a supervisor over at Charter. Charter Senior Living was fine. I had no problem about moving there, except that it was father down for me to drive every day to visit. I did not try the food, but it smelled good. I was there at 11:00 at both times with my sister-in-law and it smelled good. They were very interested in getting my wife into that group that I had a hard time telling them, "There's nothing against you guys. You guys did a great job at the tour.""

"Provision Living was a very nice place and it was very clean. I thought it was a very good first experience to see what was going on in that kind of community because I wasn't familiar with it at all and they gave me lots of good information. I was impressed. The only problem for my needs for my mother was that they were too far away. They only have studio apartments and we were looking for at least a one-bedroom, and all of theirs were a two bedroom. They're kind of limited in terms of floor plan choices. As far as I can remember, they had an activities room, a small library, and a chapel. "

"This facility is the home to a great-aunt of mine. I always enjoy visiting her in this home. There are consistently activities and festivities happening. She has normal services available to her including postal, beauty, light shopping, and a full service gym. As an active senior, she enjoys the freedom but also fellowship that this particular center offers her. The only negative I've heard her mention is the high rollover of nursing staff. On visits, the facility appears clean and welcoming. "

"We were going to get Mom in Mcclay Senior Care, but before she could be transported over there, she passed away. It was big and clean. The facility is only four years old. The people were nice and very accommodating for the short period of time that we were there. The staff was nice and friendly. It was very clean. Mom was gonna be there for hospice."

"The grounds at Harvester Residential Care were clean and neat. The rooms I saw were new (they had just built an addition to the facility). The size of it was satisfactory. The person who did the tour was very helpful. They were preparing food in the kitchen, and we saw the dining area, and it was clean. They have daily activities. They also have a couple of outings in a week that I saw in the schedule."

"The staff at Friendship Village was excellent. The facility was very up-to-date and very comfortable looking. The rooms looked good and you can bring things if you want to personalize it. The grounds were very well taken care of and very attractive. "

"Sunrise of Des Peres was very appealing. It was set up like a home, and all the people there were very helpful. The staff has been very nice and helpful. "

"Clarendale of St. Peters is a new facility. It's only been there a couple of years. They were priced much more expensive, but I like their facility much better than the other ones I'd looked at. They come highly recommended, but when you go on a tour, you don't know how the staff is, and you don't know how the food is. The facilities were great. The staff who gave us the tour was very professional and very good. The rooms seemed very nice. We required a couple's room, so that can become an issue. I didn't see any activities, but the surroundings were very nice, very clean, and very comfortable looking."

"I liked everything about The Lumiere of Chesterfield. They had a private chef who worked with the people who lived there to get on the menu what they preferred to eat according to their diet. A lot of these people are diabetics and when they go to another facility, they don't care what they eat, they just put garbage on the menu. This private chef makes a world of difference. They have high ceilings and big, spacious rooms. It's much more spacious than a lot of the facilities I've seen. It makes it feel much more luxurious and much more like home."

"I liked Sunrise of Chesterfield. I liked the rooms, and everything was light. The food menu was good. There wasn't anything I didn't like about it. It was very good. My brother would have been there if the timing had worked out. The staff who gave us the tour was very nice and very competent. Probably the best presenter I've seen in a long time for that type of facility. The rooms were very bright, they were good-sized, and updated. It was lovely, and a very nice place. I would assume that people that go there would like it. Their staff seemed good. They do have medical staff on board, and I just dealt with the tour person, his name's Brendan. The facility is wonderful."

"I toured Glenfield Memory Care Homes. I liked that it was smaller and it felt very homey. The furniture was included, but you can bring your own if you want to. The staff showed me a salon, which was very nice, and I liked where the showers were. The room where the patients were seemed plenty roomy enough, with a bit of room to move around. They were all private rooms. The one room there was bigger so that people could share, but that was empty when I was there. The staff was very kind and informative."

"I toured The Boulevard of St Peters. The executive manager was awesome. He was so nice, caring, talkative, and guiding us in the right direction. The unit they showed me was two rooms. It's got a walk-in bath and a little kitchenette. The staff was beyond great. The place was brand new and perfect. They had a walking area, which was nice, too."

"Everything about Friendship Village Sunset Hills was excellent. It's very clean and very well-kept. The towels, sheets, blankets, all that stuff were all cleaned and laundered. I had a friend staying there and when I visited her, it was very nice. She had a little apartment for herself. She had a little fridge, a stove, and her own bathroom. She liked it. She said the staff was very nurturing and exhibited a high level of genuine care. The food service was also really pretty good. She had her own microwave and refrigerator, so she would just cook her own meals sometimes. They also stay very active. She said there's always something to do, like card games or entertainment or go to a restaurant or shopping with others. They have a beauty salon, an exercise room, and a physical therapist that works with them. So, it was great."

"I toured The Meadowlands, and it was very, very much top notch. It was very, very well appointed with very good people. It was just a very good facility for what we were we were looking for. The staff was very good. It looked good, and everything was clean and neat and as it should have been. We saw the living area, the courtyard, and their activity areas. That was pretty much it because that's about what they have inside the area for the memory care. We saw that they had a very nice courtyard with a walking path, and it was completely fenced. They had many different activities out there for them to do, whether it be planting flowers, sitting on a glider, sitting on a chair, or sitting on a swing. There were some other activities out there that kind of escaped my memory for the moment. It was a nice place."
